Freshly released new remix by Hospital Records

Rusko - Everyday (Netsky Remix)

I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of Dubstep. It just feels like Drum & Bass taken to the extreme. It lacks artistic merit, and everything is more or less the same, starting quietly and then having 'sick bass drop' 40 seconds in. After which it's just 'wob-wob' over and over again. I don't mind Drum & Bass, but I love French House though.

Change Dubstep to Rap, House, Trance, Smooth Jazz or even Chill-house and you can generalize almost everything.

Some tracks from the good old '90s when electronic music still had pure guts and stamina. That "Dubstep" these days is just too much...

Some could argue that Electronic is a genre by itself instead of a generalized term for all music using synths and technology to make a sound.

In every genre there is good and bad producers, its just easier to find the good producers in the genre you listen to the most. If you asked me who the best country musician was, i would give you a blank stare. lol

There are several genres within the definition of electronic music.
Obviously there is a ton of digital manipulation in all music genres these days, but as far as pure electronic goes, there's such a wide spectrum that it becomes impossible to categorize a lot of tracks.
This is what is so apparent in modern electronic music, it's lacking that specific authenticity to make it a clear genre, and ALOT of it is so synthetic that it becomes impossible to dance to.

Is this a sub genre of dubstep? I just really like this song but I haven't found much else like it. But then a few people don't think it was particularly dubstep so maybe there is another sub genre.

Ive always assumed that one was just Dubstep. (i recommend downloading UKF dubstep collection btw, its really good)

Watch out for this guy Dillon Francis, hes already doing collabs with Calvin Harris...

Caligula... nuff said.

So does anyone still listen to Skream, Benga, Burial, Bar 9 etc? I noticed that most of my friends that are into Dubstep haven't heard of them :(

I still listen to Bar9, not so much Skream or Benga, not heard anything from Benga in about a year or so..

Bar 9 is good, Skream is great. I listen to the occasional dub step, but I must say Skrillex has had a HUGE impact on the dub step scene. And scary monsters easily got a lot of people listening to it now. I don't know how I feel about it now. It's become too popular, drum and bass is what I prefer, even some drum step.

55 seconds is where it's at. People who dislike Dubstep seem to hate this track more than any other
It's good to see Nero is still doing something a bit less mainstream. Although Radio 1 are playing this, surprisingly.

Completely agree. DnB has me hooked at the moment, I still listen to Dubstep, but it doesn't feel the same as before it went mainstream.

Dubstep isnt mainstream... there is a chance it could be, but right now it still isnt.

Depends where you live. Around my area, there isn't a person under the age of 21 that hasn't heard of it. Whether they like it or not is another question...

Unfortunately it's pretty mainstream here. It's all you'll here in clubs nowadays.

Dubstep is being used in cereal commercials now. :(

Before, I think that dubstep is noodles.

In fact, after listening to a few, my opinion has changed lol, but still, most dubstep songs are crap. I'm not the type who likes OMGWTFLOLWOBWOBWOB bass drops. You could also know that when you hear from me that I like Klaypex a bit more than Skrillex.

A classmate introduced that to me and I kinda liked it.

I can assure you he's a real human being. All of this 'Skrillex is crap lol!' and 'Nero is pop lol!' stuff is getting boring now. They're both brilliant artists and they ARE producing dubstep, no matter how much you hate it. Sure it's become popular and mainstream but it's still dubstep.

Also, thanks for your input terminator363 but I've yet to hear any song where the lyrics sound like "Beebeebeebeebeebeebeebeebee"

Nice try, though.
