Jesus, what size is your cam? (my old car '93 RX-7) I was asked this question by old hot rodders so many god damn times it's not funny.

That's always a classic. :D I think it's even funnier when kids claim to own an RX-7 on the internet, and post an extensive list of modifications, which includes something like "aftermarket camshafts" or "VVT" or something along those lines.

I remember Need for Speed Underground allowed you to upgrade your RX-7's cams...

What car is it??

C'mon, it says "Ford" in front and still they ask what car it is :dopey:

Some idiot asked me ''whats does that thing run on?'' I said It runs on long cut and fart gas.
another annoying question
How fast does it go?
and then theres the kids when you pull out the parking lot that yell out to every sports car
''Burn that sh**'' or ''Peel that sh**''.

In my Ranger: How do you fit in that little thing?
Quite comfortably, thank you.

Damn, Do you really like it that yellow?
I actually bought it because I thought it was damn cute for a 9 year old truck

Is it as fast as it looks?
Heck no, it won't even burn rubber, unless the ground is really wet or sandy.

How do your kids like it?
They think it's "pimpin'". And no, they don't borrow it often. I bought/aquired them cars so that they wouldn't need mine. My two eldest drive it when I offer them the keys, but they rarely ask if they can.

Aren't you a little old to be driving a truck like that?
No, and if you don't want to explain how you got whupped by a guy with some "snow on the roof" you need to get to steppin'

You're probably better off than I am, though, as far as longevity goes...even though you don't have a diesel...Have you ever heard of Gregorios Sachinidis? :D

I find it funny that you get the same "Burnout!" and "Hey cool!!....er, wtf is that?" comments as I do....

p.s. I'm not sure I get what you mean...do you love 'em because they open the "reverse" way?

Sometimes i WISH i had a diesel!!! gas is like $3.80 around here. I read that article, it is so amazing. I love the old european cars, people have no idea they exist! (in the U.S., of course)
Yeah, i like the way the hood opens, it is so different from any other "normal" car.

I own a 1986 Chevrolet Nova (Basically the same as a Toyota Corolla base model.)

"Rear wheel drive?" (NO!)
"Does it drift?" (Actually, yes, it does. On dirt.)
"Dude.... you got a V-TEC?" (I'm not even sure it has VVT-I.)
"Dude, swap a Trueno engine in it!" (I got so tired and said it already came with one stock.)
"Let's paint it white and put a carbon bonnet on it!" (Oh jeez, it's a 4-door sedan.)
*Person hears it rev* *gasp* "A 4-AG!!!" (No, 4-AK73A)

You know, I stared at that for about 2 minutes and couldn't make any sense out of it becfause I missed the "(Basically the same as a Toyota Corolla base model.)" blurb.

Not actually about my car, but a friend's car, a BMW 525d (turbodiesel inline 6, 2.5 litre and 163 hp)...... One said, gee, it sucks that BMW diesels don't have turbos anymore ( maybe thinking that the 525TDS is turbocharged and the 525d isn't :lol: )

Way back when I was a teen ager I had an old T-bird.
For those that don't know, the 1961-63 (at the very least) had a "swing-away" steering wheel, that swung about 8 inches to the right when the gear selector was in "park" to allow easy ingress and egress from the vehicle.
You would not believe the number of first-time riders that said, "Whoa, dude do that again."
Followed by, "Can you drive with the wheel over there?"
I wished I had a tape deck in the car that started when the door closed,
"Yes, that is indeed a swing-away wheel. No, I can't drive from over there. The gear selector won't move out of "Park" unless the wheel is directly in front of me."
