Yeah, I just saw that.
Assassin's Creed all over again.
I'm guessing they "dropped" the 360 and PC versions partly for marketing reasons *if it's a PS3 exclusive, you're going to be in all of Sony's montages and be on the front cover of many PlayStation fan mags, among other things. Another reason is because of the competition *PC has Crysis, 360 has Halo 3, both have Call of Duty 4. If they did a simultaneous release on all three platforms this fall, few people on the PC and 360 side would buy Haze when there's a better alternative(s). They'll announce early next year the other two versions and have them release shortly afterwards when the competition isn't nearly as stiff *they won't have to go up against Halo, Crysis, and Call of Duty, and since the PS3 version is releasing this fall instead of next spring, they won't be Killzone'd either.
And Ubisoft is publishing this if it's a fairly major title, it's going to be multiplatform. I doubt they're going to miss out on the sales the 360 and PC crowd would give them.
Today, Ubisoft amended its statement, saying that currently only the PS3 version of Free Radical's shooter is in development. The France-based publisher also noted that it was still leaving the door open in the future for "new partnerships," but currently the game is indeed only planned for the PS3. A spokesperson said, "The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed."
