Seems a bit fishy to me... But it is the hottest BMW I've ever seen!

Take off all the vynils and stickers though...

Don't know if its visable on the ebay pics, but the BMW initials on the logo badage have been replaced with N F S. lol

and its not got an M3 engine, and they stuck on an M3 badge on the back. The kit fine, many people may not know its an M3 GTR kit, but dont put on the badge.
Regardless, I'd still want the car.

The kit isn't even the same as the actual M3 GTR. The spoiler looks horrible. Chrome vinyls?!?! Who puts vinyl on a car like that, anyway. Get a real paint job. The rims don't fit right in the back, though they do look good by themsleves. My opinion: This guy's an idiot.

The car's genuine, and it's a tuned M3 as well, but it's not an M3 GTR. Sumo power couldn't get one of thoes to tune. Sumo power created the car in conjunction with EA to promote NFS:MW and then they gave the car away on the games launch on MTV. I think the ad could be genuine since anyone could own the car.

Well its got a different pspoiler than the one in NFSMW but atleast its not as high as the one int he game. I'd rip of all the stickers and vinyls and paint that baby black.

The car looks confused. Is it a racer, or is it a ricer? Knowing what it is associated with answers that question 👎. I love BMWs, especially the E46 M3, but this just turns me off.

I love when people list the mods for their car, they list the engine oil, and other oils, as if a certain brand adds 50+ hp or something.

"Well, its a nice Lamborghini how much?...I see...And the brand of oil you put in?...CASTROL? Forget it, I don't want it, you disgust me!"

In GT4 it does

Doesn't even remotely look like the GTR or the Strasse.

Too many stickers, and can't even afford to do the same design vinyl on it. Sad....

The engine isn't even modified either. I'm even more ashamed this car's 0-60 is slower than a real M3.

I'd rather spend the cash on tuning my M3.

*Cough*RICER
It's amazing... chrome stickers, ill-fitting wheels, a completely useless wing, and a stock engine. I don't know what kind of moron would pay 50,000 pounds for it.

Do you really think they didn't have enough money to do the real thing? Hell no. It's EA for heaven's sakes.

We're talking a car that is a big ad, people see a flashy winged "racecar" and they get interested. Then you put your company's logo on it, and people now read it and know what's going on. Now maybe you put on a fart can so people hear it, then they look and you achieve the same effect. Tuning the motor would be a stupid thing to do in the first place, they'd lose money on their publicity.

You people are getting all worked up over a big billboard. Calm yo'selves.

Really? Here's a better observation. EA had nothing to do with it besides sponsor it.

...designed and built by Sumo Power for EA Games...

I wouldn't bid on it anyways. The seller seems a little strange.
you can not come and look at the car and it is not kept at my address...
Either way I will need to be physically holding the cash before I let the car go

If I'm paying good money for a modified M3, let alone a stock M3, on ebay, the seller better d*mn well let me see what I'm buying before I pay him first.

Seems almost like a scam, really.

Sponsorship means $$$. It's EA's money, I'm sure if they wanted to have something more accurate or specific, it could've been easily done.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm.
I gave you reputation points for that post, so it wasn't sarcasm. You are little paranoid though. :D j/k

I totally agree with you. The car was a show, a billboard. It was never meant to look tasteful, just flashy.

Which still means Sumo could have made more power if they wanted to. Like the seller said, Sumo usually does make more power in their cars.

EA just gets money because its name is plastered all over it. EA never put money into it, Sumo did. They did it for EA.

Calm down, it's just a promotional car, there would have been no point in upgrading its performance.

That said, I'm surprised that this doesn't look like the M3 GTR or the M3 GTR Strasse Version. If this isn't an eBay scam, it's worth the money (because it's a one-of-a-kind, official car done up for EA), but I certainly wouldn't even consider thinking about buying it.

I'd say it's a waste of an M3, but BMW seems to make a zillion of 'em these days...

Actually, EA put money into it, not Sumo. EA hired Sumo to build it, naturally Sumo will have taken a profit which means Sumo never spent a penny on the car. Theres zero point in tuning the engine, as said, it's a show car to advertise the game, people arn't going to be seeing it breaking the speed limits down the M61.

Good luck to the person that buys this with the insurance and up coming M.O.T

The current owner is obviously very paranoid about losing his motor to theft and clearly needs the money.

If you want a unique car for the price of a CSL, then go for it. I quite like it, but I'd prefer it to be more realistic to the car in the game.

Yes it has, it's a modded BMW M3. What gave you the impression they took the M3 engine out.
