::Race Details::

• Mode: Arcade: Time Trial​
• Game Spec: Spec III​
• Physics: Professional​
• Track: Daytona Road Course​
• Car: Ford GT LM spec II test car​

::Rules::​

• Lap must be clean, No wall touches, 2 wheels on track at all times.(all hard underground is part of the track)​
• G25 clutch is Prohibited​
• Driving aids are optional​
• Standard OLR rules​

Save your best lap replay, everyone will need to submit there replay at the end of each round for verification.(replays will need to be posted within 48 hours after deadline, replays are to be posted in this thread.)​

::Standard Clean OLR rules::

• 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
• rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
• no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
• if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
• no hybrids
• no cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind. We will know.
• nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
• save your best lap/ghost replay

::Submitting::

• Submit to either mad94d or ripping_silk through GTPlanet private message.​
• You need to include your lap time and your psn username.​
• You can only submit your time once.​
• The Deadline is 23:59(GMT) 11th of March​
• Replay deadline is 23:59(GMT) 13th of March​
• Replay is to be posted in the thread and time is to be pm'ed.​
• Next race starts on the 12th of March​
• if you are unsure of the deadline try this site​

Why use GMT:​

• GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.​

::Time Verification::​

• Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full week after the event's deadline.​
• Racers ,named by the organisers(mad94d and ripping_silk), (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification​
• any submitted time is subject to a time verification request ​
• when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within two days of the request
• failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results.
• All competitors need to post there replay in the race thread after each race for verification. This was the only fair way to do it.

Couldn't have picked a poorer combo for me i absolutely despise this car..... it feels terrible handling wise for a right foot braker like me.

Set my time, and thats how it stays...... it's lucky i've done a few laps at Daytona Road and that was the sole positive.

not a 'delightful' combination... but they can't all be.
I don't know that it handles badly, you just expect it to go as fast through corners as it does on the straights, relatively speaking.
Throttle control indeed. More about where not to use gas, rather than where to use it.
We'll see how we go. Give her the berries, she has lots.

Yep, I did a TT in this a while ago and found it so hard not to get wheelspin. Anyway, should be a challenge. I'm always careless with the throttle so this combo willforce me to be careful.

I only bought this car to drive in the event and that's it, other than when GT4 needed me to drive it. So I will have to go to a "happy place" to do this weeks challenge.

It seems not many people like this. I think this'll be hard, but to become faster you need to challenge yourself. So i'm trying to be positive about this combo.

I love this one. I used to be in the top ten for a long time. But then they went to spec III.

Keep it in a high gears..and wheel slip will almost go way.

true,but if you keep it in low gears and use the throttle properly,you will gain time ....a lot..

am a little afraid though of the chicane...you guys remember the race in the IFTC..???...

But, the with lower gears I found that you have to feather the throttle much more, which takes longer. I'll see which is faster..

I remember syrrari, dont worry, unless you clearly do a invalid lap it will be allowed. IFTC was extremly strict, like 1cm over the line you got a DQ. Obvoiusly any wall touches are not allowed.

Marky, 1.5-2 secs puts you P1 by half a second. If you can achieve that you should sit the round out as you've blatantly hand picked the combo for your own benefit.

You certainly aren't lacking in ego are you............

hehe i was extremly optimistic i guess, my 1.3 off lap was my first ever attempt with this car in pro, just had another short go, no improvement, im geting way too impatient, if i get around Fak_evil's time i will pleased because i cant string the corners together to save my life lol.
Current P1 lap i improve on in T1 then lose about 0.9 in between T2&T3.

Your lap is legal as long as time doesn't go red basically. Obviously to do this you have to be clean through the bus stop.

This is the one car i have never got the hang of.

When i used the six-axxis it was an absolute nightmare.

If i can tame this beast it will really Enhance my Ego

Just did about 5 laps and got 15th - This car is a freakin animal, changing from 3rd to 4th at 250kph causes wheelspin!!

You said it, about that wheel spin. This car is a friggin' beast to handle on s2's..10 laps and 83rd so far, but havent really got the patience for it t'nite...
