Why use GMT?

GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time Verification
  • Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full week after the event's deadline.
  • Racers ,named by the organisers(mad94d and ripping_silk), (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within two days of the request
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results.
  • All competitors need to post there replay in the race thread after each race for verification. This was the only fair way to do it.
  • If you unsure of how to submit a replay, see this page.

You can't get the rankings in english, but you can get them in Japanese.

EDIT: Sorry you can, editing first post now.
You must pm your times to ripping_silk only now. This allows us to get the results out quicker.

Great, only ever done two combos here on pro so i think this will help, plus this car is the only other car i havent bought.

Tough car to handle. The front just doesn't want to turn, so it makes the chasis loose if you turn too much... SO much power..

Tough to handle? C'mon, you didn't seem to have much of a problem handling the raging bull (GTLM) :dopey: The Cali should seem like riding a well tamed pony

The difference is this, the Ford GT LM can turn. Just the rear end doesn't stick too well on that car. The Cali, is suspension tight, there for making it loose in the rear.. :)

Tightness is usually defined as understeer, or when the front tires lose traction before the rear. When you say the Cali's suspension is "tight" do you mean the stiffness of the suspension/springs?

Yea the GTLM was a handful but atleast it responded quickly and could change direction quickly.

Had a quick go before but im not sure where maddy finds another .6XX

The run up the hill to the front straight is a nightmare, waiting and waiting for the front to find the apex then slowly apple some throttle :yuck:

Looks like Mad's off to a flying start. I might be able to get into the 46's, but not as deep into the 46's as he has ALREADY gone. :nervous:

Great job kiddo 👍

Here's a lap around Fuji with Lewis Hamilton that some of you guys may enjoy 👍

So you thought it was easy to loose time at DR? My God, this car..I am so out of practice, you have play play play with the throttle.. I did 50 laps..screw this car. I need FFB for this car.

Thanks guys. I may be able to find a little bit more time. I want my championship lead back.

You need to get good race lines so you can apply the throttle sooner. Wheelspin doesn't really slow you down that much in this car. You just change up to 3rd as wheels are spinning. I'm loving the super fast gear changes too.

Yes, the suspension is tight, I am not sure what that means. I dunno which is causing it, the engine in the rear, or poor suspension in the front.

Engine is in the front in the California if I'm not mistaken.

yeah, the engine is in the front, but behind the front wheels...so its actually a kind of mr car...
it has reasonable grip, but there is not a big "playfield"...its either grip ,or its gone(first understeer, than power oversteer).
but if you compaire the times you can get with this car with "only " 450hp to others its actually pretty fast...
only when driving it on the limit you got to have patience and prevent yourself trying to overdrive the car wich will loose speed/time...:)

as said before, the dubble clutch gearbox is a dream!!👍

+1 👍

I am done. Screw this car.

EDIT:

What I meant to say is, good luck everyone, its a really good combo because it achieves mad n' company's mission. Which is to Enhance Your Skills.. This is the hardest car I've even handled in this game, I never really drove the F Cali.

A. The Car is Tight
B. Because of tight, you turn the wheel more to make it turn (It turns less when doing that)
C. When applying throttle, the condition worsens to tight-loose.
D. A very powerful engine that produces a lot of torque in a light car = Wheel spin
E. Tight-loose; therefore creating a extremely tricky car to drive, on a extremely flat, yet elevated track with many kinds of turns.

I must confess, I hate cars like this and I hate tight cars. There is no room for error, and I make a lot of mistakes.

If I can tell you anything, the harder you try to push this car, the worse the tight-loose gets and the slower you will go..

Thank you

Funny how some cars suit drivers differently,I'm sure a lot of us said that last week.
 I know I did.

Yep, last week I was terribly slow.

I'm beginning to think this whole comp is one sick joke.......there has been nothing pleasant about the last 2 challenges, nor possibly the challenges to come.

I'm with GTP_CWR on this one....... the Cali is a pile of s***, one 10 lap stint and i want no more part of this piece of rubbish, my sanity is worth more than this:crazy::crazy:

dont enter it then, none of these "challenges" are intended to be easy

We will be mixing it up more in the future, different drivetrains etc. Just keep pushing on.

Where did i say i was pulling out Tizzla? Nor am i criticizing the efforts of Mad or Ripping..... it's a reflection of the state of my life and skills if anything!!

I'm not asking for them to be easy........ but at the same time some sensiblity has to come into it..... I'd hardly call the California or the GTLM obscure cars that aren't well known nor driven often.

The last two challenges require a skillset that simply doesn't apply to any other car on the game in my opinion...... which to me lessens your overall skill if you spend a ludicrous amount of time behind the wheel.

I am enjoying the challenge overall, but i could see it a mile off that the California and the GTLM would show their faces somewhere......... and thats what gets my goat.

The whole premise of this challenge overall is to "Enhance Your Skills" yes....... but only if you have many many hours to hone those "Skills". A perfect case in point being the LM with the average time spent by contestants overall being 3-4 hrs....... i spent 25 mins.

I don't have that time unfortunately, which adds to the frustration immensely.

Bring on Race 6......
