I'm beginning to think this whole comp is one sick joke.......there has been nothing pleasant about the last 2 challenges, nor possibly the challenges to come.
I'm with GTP_CWR on this one....... the Cali is a pile of s***, one 10 lap stint and i want no more part of this piece of rubbish, my sanity is worth more than this

It will feel the same way to me when we get in the F2007, which I'm sure will happen.
I would argue against the idea that the Cali' needs a different skillset to any other car though.
It handles differently, yes, but to no more of a degree than any other car. The GTLM however, is another story, nothing in the game is like that car.
But I believe 2 skills that could be advanced from round 4 and the GTLM are: accuracy of car placement and throttle control.
I would have preferred any other Ferrari than the Cali, because it does feel a bit staid and bland. But as with every other combination, it does take a little time to learn the nuances of the car. Often I've found that I'm slow in a car because I expect it to handle and react like the last car I drove.
And the original concept of utilising underused cars for this series, was a noble idea, it is perhaps a little unfeasible. Underused cars are generally the slower cars. And while racing the slower cars can often be fun, time trialling them is boring and labourious in most cases, certainly for me at least. I just couldn't stomach laps around Daytona road in a Daihatsu for instance.
There are just not enough cars to choose from in Prologue.
Personally I'd probably pick the more powerful RWD cars for nearly every round, weather they are under-used or not. But there does need to be a decent balance to cater for most drivers. Hopefully everyone will find their 'sweet spot' somewhere over the 18 weeks.
Though it is suprising how some people like one car and hate the next. CWR, fast as f... in the GTLM, but despises the Cali'.
Expecting to 'Enhance your Skills' in 25 minutes per round is a bit of a long shot. Kind of like "2 minute ab's" !!
Im not diss'ing your skills osrg, as your obviously no mug behind the wheel, but as with anything, its practise that makes perfect.
I can imagine it is very frustrating not being able to put more time into it, but great to see you submitting times regardless. 👍
If your setting competitive times after 25min I'd say your exploiting skills you already have rather than enhancing those skills.
well i doubt you spent only 25 mins on it, and as for the cars being well known, i had never driven the audi tt or the GTLM before this competition.
...hope to get it right in the next session(if i have enough time...
...).
