The release is March.

IMO, I think GT4 finally found an extremely worthy opponent on the PS2 and Sim world. The fact of reviewer's saying, "It may be a little too realistic..." is a good thing in my eyes. I mean, the closer to reality, the better. 👍

I would be really dissapointed if it was march becouse ive seem nothing about it anywhere. It sounds like another sega GT online if that really is the case

I didnt actually mean like sega GT i meant about as much as a success as sega GT.
I get a nasty feeling enthusia is lacking in content. The psychics can be great in racing games but if you dont have much lifespan or well deigned tournament system and so on it will never be that great. If you think about it GT has it all, It allways has and some people may take that for granted. Im glad other companys are trying to make racing simulation games and i wish them the best of luck but i may be lavking and rushed.

i doubt it will have as much content as GT4 or forza, but it should be a good game... Its got a few things i havent really seen in GT4 like japan touges, and the motion of the cars looks much more realistic.

Actually, in my eyes, GT lacks racing types. It pretty much just is a circuit and 1 drag course game now with many cars. You could count License tests as some Autocross ones, but you can't race them in the car you want.

This is where Enthusia may go above and behind.
Forza already has the upper hand on racing types.

i dont know, i havent played any of these games, FOrza, GT4 or Enthusia. We wont know for sure untill we've played them for ourselves

all we are doing is killing time :)

Enthusia and forza suck!!!
gt4 rules forever!!! (until gt5....LOL)

Please...follow these rules...

1) Leave the computer.
2) Go play something else besides GT
3) Realize GT is not the best sim game out on the market.
4) Get your head of KY's arse

After you've done that, come back here, and then post.

yeah, where does it say that enthusia doesnt have tuning? all they said is that The game will be more focused on driving skill than tuning skill

It also looked as if the wheel had much less resistance than the Logitech wheel. Maybe it doesn't have force feedback, or maybe it uses another method for force feedback.

Perhaps they are accounting for Power steering. I think the problem I have with my Wheel ( iteration before DFP ) is that the FF sometimes locks up the wheel so hard I can't turn it. I don't know about you guys, but no matter how hard I've pushed a car IRL, I can always turn the wheel.

I think the only thing you'll be able to do tuning-wise in Enthusia is alter what's already on the car, things like suspension. But there are no "upgrades".. no Stage 4 Turbos, no racing transmissions. Just the car. Stock.

So....wil GT4 be out before this game?

Or will I start being frustrated, pissed off and plain old angry that TWO potentialy great driving games will be "coming"......and "coming"......and "coming"........and never actually GET to the U.S, Market?

yep, that seems to be the case, and as long as the driving experience is a true sim... it's more than enough for me. (i just hope they have suzuka track too.)

all they need to do is to allow multiple profiles for the car, some suspension settings might work better on some tracks than other (for example, a stiff suspension in nurburgring might not be the best idea.) and gear ratios short for small tracks and wide for fast tracks should also make a difference. so basicly just tuning the car with those small changes would make for some intresting competition among other people, in F355 challenge it's all you could do to the car, but it was more than enough to keep you busy.

What i want to know now is their multiplayer options, LAN play is a must of course, but they haven't said anything about it, as far as online goes... these days it's a must also, but no word either.

you're wrong about this, the fact is, the better the driving experience (the more realistic.) the more adictive the game becomes, GT3 never really had me glued to the screen because of the arcady gameplay, GT4 on the other hand has me glued to nurburgring even tough i have a very limited selection of cars on the demo. all just because of the driving experience. it's finally good enough to keep me playing just because the driving itself is so fun... this was even truer in F355 challenge... wich by the way, i couldn't even use a steering wheel on. it was really something, F355 didn't have in depth modes.. but the AI was decent, and the handling was great. so even though it only had arcade mode and tournament mode it was extremley adictive.

enthusia can accomplish the same, and if they allow for some kind of internet play, the replay value will be pretty much timeless, you'd never get bored.

Well, why credits do go to GT4 for rally racing, but Forza just as better tarmac racing types.

This is one of those features that the GT series could do with out... untill they can get it right, rally racing in the GT series feels like tarmac racing, the tracks are flat, and you can't go off road (rally drivers commonly go out of the track if they can take a shortcut, or into a hole next to the track to gain more grip.)
in richard burns rally you can do all this.. it really shows just how bad rally racing in the GT series is, at least in GT4 the rally tracks look a bit more authentic, but they dont FEEL authentic. play RBR and you'll soon realize what i'm talking about.

if you can't get a mode right... don't include it at all. but they did it anyway. (funny thing is, they did this for online, wich would've defenetly had better results.)

enthusia doesn't seem to have "rally tracks" but i've seen wide open dirt roads, so it does have some sort of dirt racing, they made them very open because they know they would have to sacrifice graphic quality to get the level of detail RBR has. but that's actually a better solution than PD's "rally tracks" that look great, but are in fact just closed circuits that feel exactly the same as tarmac tracks.

McLaren F1GTR
Yeah. RBR was a really challenging game. I would actually like to see what Forza can do with Rallying.

you've seen the engine, it wouldn't be any good. they are pretty much focousing on tarmac, and that's a good idea... i'd rather have them use up all their resources on that rather than having mediocre support for rally.

i don't see what the big deal is, if you like both, you buy both and play both, it's that simlpe.

👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 That's the spirit!!!!

Why compare the 2 sims?? If you had to choose between GT4 or Enthusia, then it is worth while comparing and discussing them. But if you can buy both of them, buy them and play them.

Too bad Enthusia doesn't have tuning.

Enthusia does have tuning!!!!

Look under: "game information"

The Enthusia experience is expanded to included hundreds of cars from 40 famous manufacturers
and lets you race on real tracks from around the world
plus some of Konami's gruelling fictitious ones for extra challenge.
If you really want to sup up your car, Enthusia's stage-based tuning allows for personalised car upgrades, but skilled driving always remains the key.

I think I am starting to like replying to posts. :dunce:

exactly, fine-tuning your car is important to make it competitive...but the only way to win is to do it with pure driving skills 👍
