Enzo Ferrari or Mclaren F1?

McLaren F1 for sure. The Enzo under-steers way too much...
 
I have both cars, it is a personal thing in my opinion as both are great, but I have 1 F1 and 4 Enzos , if that means anything. :dopey

I would go with the maclaren or the enzo if you want to super tune a car to go 228 avrge around daytona then go with endo:tup::):sly:
 
The F1 is a car that has been epic in my mind ever since Tiff Needell went through his review of it many years ago. In an oh-so-car-nerdy sorta way, I was totally excited to buy it in GT5 and race it. It doesn't disappoint. The Enzo is nice too, but the F1 is more exciting for me to drive, and when racing I'll pick it over the Enzo almost every time.
 
I gotta go with the F1, its just more fun to drive.
 
Definitely the McLaren, I have both and the F1 is better by far.
 
I think a lot of it comes down to driving style. While the F1 may be easier to handle the Enzo I think has the potential to be a faster car if you are able to tame it. It takes more effort and concentration but a lot of what I have seen of the actual car seems to say the same thing. I really enjoy mine and it is very fast around some pretty technical tracks.

Honestly what sold me to buy the Enzo first was the ten years of technology advancement between the two. When I bought the F1 afterward I knew I made the right choice as well. Both great cars but I prefer the Enzo.
 
I liked the Enzo and McLaren very much. I didn't tune my Enzo its still stock but i think ill purchase another one and tune it so its a real drivers car, may have to add ballast to sort out that infamous understeer. The McLaren is the second most exciting car ive ever driven. The central cockpit the noise the lightness the power its like a race car. And when fully tuned its just a beast.
 
Instead of adding ballast just lower the front spring rate... Helps immensely.
 
I'd like to disagree

Yesterday I tried the Enzo around the nurburgring again...man, was that fun!
When you get familiar with this car, you can literally fly trough the corners.
The thing is so light, it just humps from corner to corner.

So yeah...when you master the Enzo, you have a really awesome car to drive.

I consider them two very different cars. The Enzo is a technical wonder, designed to go as fast as possible using all the mechanical and electronic driving aids available (dual clutch gearbox, traction control...etc). Whereas the Mclaren F1 is built to be a driver's car, with no assists (there isn't even ABS as far as I know). The driver sits front and center for the best view, puts the power down through a proper manual transmission and the rear wheels do whatever your right foot tells them too.

So the Enzo may be faster... but I enjoy my time more in the F1.

P.S. Of course, all the real life specs when it comes to driving aids are all but irrelevant in GT5... but I still feel like the F1 is the more entertaining drive.
 
The enzo is amazingly quick in a straight line, but the F1 is more fun, has a better interior view, actually the best of any car i think, because you sit right in the middle. It also handles and sounds better in my opinion.
 
I'll go for the Mclaren F1. Tried both and the McLaren F1 is more forgiving doing power slide and fast cornering. Even in real life I would love to be in a McLaren........someday:)
 
i would pick the F1 beacause when i tune them to max the F1 can steer at high speed, while the Enzo cant
 
It obviously depends what kind of cars your into, they were both built around the same objective, but are actually completely different. The McLaren is a more raw,driver orientated car, no force air induction, no electronic aids, basically older technology which requires more driver skill.
The Enzo on the other hand, has more electronic aids, it hasnt got as good aerodynamics as the mclaren, easier to drive (but less predictable), but has better brakes.
I think the McLaren is far better, but thats just my driving style. The enzo in my opinion just feels flawed and not as agile as the F1. :sly:

Well, the enzo is pretty much on par with the F1 in straight line speed (0.3s slower to 100mph), at least until extreme high speed. But the enzo can also pull a fair bit more on the skid pad, 1.01g, compared to the F1's 0.86.
 
The Mclaren F1 is more fun to drive and more stable upon entering and exiting the corners and its a 6 speed. The Enzo is fun also but lacks handling that the F1 has if driven properly. Not mash and gas driving.

I'd be curious to see an Enzo and F1 tested again on modern tires. The Enzo is 10 years or so new than the F1 right? That's 10 years of tire development that would definitely improve testing results for handling and acceleration.
 
Mclaren f1. Worth the money too, the enzo's handling is poor but the mclaren has no flaws, just get used to it's somewhat hard handling.
 
Mclaren F1 is a much faster car, better looking and more fun to drive. Obvious choice. Atleast stock, not tried them tuned/upgraded.
