Error downloading 2.08

hello this is my first time posting here. i got me now the academy edition of gt5 and tried downloading the update. but it keeps giving an error and only downloads about 11%. what could be the problem

Try claring the system cache and history.Does the game try to update on its own? It should.

ok will try that, and yes it the update option that appears before you start the game. but it never gets far. really want to get the update to take part in the South African gt academy challenge. though i may have to wait for next month when have full internet cap again

Try updating off peak times, the servers are constantly in use and cause downloading issues.

Mornings are normally good times to try.

Try skipping the update and start the game once. Go into GT mode and save (it's a button on the left). Than go to Options (also a button on the left of your screen), go all the way down to the last row, select the first button, that's where you can clear your cache.

Edit: That got mentioned above already, sorry.
You can also try to open your PS3 Internet browser, than go to its options and select 'Clear Cache', 'Clear Cookies' and such. Clearing all that could help too.
