In todays episode of "What Exactly Are We Paying For?" it happened half way through the Daily Race B I was yet, weirdly, we somehow managed to finish the race and the chat still worked afterwards.
Weirder still the music has now stopped playing on the main menu but navigation noises still work.

Its not back in UK (so presumably Europe too). PSN Server status has just changed to "Some services are experiencing problems" too.
