Just to make it clear to a lot of you people, the Escudo is not the best car in the game. Though it is fast and has a great amount of horsepower, its CC's is extremely low.

The displacement really doesn't mean that much....The smaller the engine, the lighter the car, and you can somewhat easily make up for the lack of displacement by using a turbo or supercharger...

The major problem with the Escudo is the sheer amount of power coupled with the 4WD drivetrain. When you attempt to turn and apply power at the same time, the tires tend to break loose, robbing you of all turning ability.

The 'Scud can be configured to run very well, you just need to know how to do it. One of our 'fiddlers' at Gran Turismo Speed has the 'Scud running below 4:20 on Complex String, at full tune. Plus, he's not done yet.

If you want the settings he's using, go here.

I dont think anybody said that the escudo was "the best car" but it is an amazing machine. There are a couple of important factors to remember.

1) its a Rally Car, not a road runner. Rally Cars are built differently, drive differently, and act differently than normal cars.
2)Its too light to keep traction at 1850 hp. The damn thing weighs like 1500 lbs.
3) its all wheel drive. Granted, there is no way you would EVER have traction if it were rear wheel drive, but it causes slippage on tight turns if your differential isnt tuned exactly right for EVERY TURN.
4) It dosent provide enough downforce to handle properly. From my understanding of the setup of the escudo, it provides MORE downforce than an F1 car (which can drive on the ceiling if need be) but not distributed correctly for high speed driving. Its meant to accelerate FAST around those Pikes Peak turns.
5) It has a MUCH higher center of gravity than an F1 car.

IMHO It should have stayed at Pikes Peak too, on GT2. No real test for it on GT3. A car made for a track, but without it's track now on GT3.
