I am quite amazed.. I budgeted 10 hours for this download.. Considering the speed of my connection (3Mbs) and the anticpated high demand.

But its been 90 mins and I am at 70% already.. Its FLYING!!!

At this rate, I will be installing in less than 1 hour from now...

Meh I've been dloading the update for 10mins and its roughly 1/3rd way through.

Well I just thought, sod it and bought the BD from game this morning. I installed the game form the disc (mandatory) and this took about 20 mins.

Whe I started the game it asked me if I wanted to download the update so I chose YES and it was snail paced at best. Cancelled it and had a go.

Bought me a nice orange Focus ST and won the first 3 races but then annoyingly had to go to work. Bring on 930 PM so I can get home and have a proper go!

Good luck to all those who have yet to get theirs!!

PS: The music is absolute **** as usual. The menu music in particular is just horrific

damn i live in such poor country... the Gt5 will be after two months i guess but my friend today flyes from london and he bought me an GT5! it's sad that i can't get it from playstation network becouse of my country and bank account, i can't tranfer my money from my bank acc to the wallet, do you guys know what to do?

Compared to the Japanese version the EU version is more polished in some areas but its a bit bugged. twice when it started my TV screen went blank and never came back on. Second bug I noticed is when I pressed on the GTTV button just now nothing happened and I couldnt do anything but exit the game. Also I have hardly any jaggies on screen towards the japanese version. Finally the handling of the cars is much better.

GT5/gt4 music = best menu music ever. I love the jazzy lounge music. So relaxing and comforting.
What music do you wish the menu to play? Metal? I would cry if GT played "guitar" music *puke*

Just got home with my disc copy now, its installing and nearly done. But I'm dreading this update download, what do the mean when they said open your ports, how can I do this?

Same here.......Its really not fair that we in the US have to wait another few weeks for this.....anybody with any info on how to download this if you live in the good old U S of A? It would be much appreciated.

Well I'm finaly taking a brake! Been a long day but I got GT5p on disc in the end. Started as I mean to go on and turned all the assists off and stuck it on profesional, Got mostly gold on C and I'm nearly done with B class as well now. Had about 20 online races and won quite a good amount of them. Bought the usual suspects, integra, capachino, alfa 147, subaru and the mitsubishi (old ones) and the GTR nissan. won the OPC (or what ever its called) and bought the tuned mitsubish (old one again) Very happy with the game and can see it devouring alot of spare time. Cars look, sound and handle superbly and I'm happy you can map ALL the controls onto the pad including the look left and right buttons.
