What do u guys think about the EVO X??
Much like every other evo released. The yaw control system itself is a huge piece of electronic engineering.I think it's horrible. It's all electronic, which means it's going to be complicated and offer a disconnected driving experience. The dual exhaust outlets offer no benefit whatsoever. And I bet it's going to be "comfortable". Pah.
Is the thing getting a traditional manual tranny? If it is I'll dislike it a little less, but if it isn't I'm with MistaX saying it doesn't even have a clutch, so I don't want it.Much like every other evo released. The yaw control system itself is a huge piece of electronic engineering.
EDIT: I'm sure your opinion would change if you drove it, I've seen nothing but good reviews about the non evo model.

So what? They didn't on the S2000 either. Or the Chevy Camaro. Or a whole bunch of other cars that look better with dual exhaust then they would without. The dual exhaust outlets offer no benefit whatsoever.
All he needs to know is that the dealership will fix it. I wouldn't even bother trying to understand all the computers and whatnot in new cars.Wasnt sure were to post this, and I didnt think it deserved a new thread so here goes. I know someone with a Evo X, but today it wouldnt start, no starter sound or anything, I'm not sure what miles are on it but not many anyway. Any ideas what it could be, is there some electrical thing that kicks in after a few 100 miles that stalls the car until something is checked or anything like that. If anyone could reply soon that'd be great, thanks in advance.
BLARGH.The 10 is the best-looking Evo, imo
Can I reserve my judgement until the MR RS version comes out?...please tell me they are still doing a true RS version ie no stereo, lighter weight, stripped out and rolling on steelies!
could always retro fit one,not cheap though! currently back on the standard box (evo 7 RS) but a mechanical sequential shifter as the race box is at AMS (i think). Now, if it's a real race-style mechanical sequential then I'll take it. But I hear they have problems with lurching, noise, and smoothness...
BLARGH.
VIII/IX hands down, in my book.
Unless Ford brings out an AWD Focus RS.
