So, all we have to do is just resize it down to 1080 high, that will also reduce the file size, right? I looked at the properties of one of Hereward's images and it was down to a bit over 400 KB, down from the 7MB of the original.

I'm not going to complain about saving space and keeping quality at the same time ;)

Yes thats right.

I just tried to upload GT76 jpg in scale to 1080p on my album but it exceeds the upload limit, and compressing to fit under will mess the red up imo.

It's 1.12mb where as GT74 ended up 903kb done the same way, oh well.

Hey Amar, or anyone else who has got the game. This question is really bugging me. In the following picture, you can clearly see the in car dials and speedos are on, i.e. the inteiror lights are lit up.....is there a way to turn these on, or are they on permanantley, because ive seen some cockpit veiws where the dial lights are definatley not on. It looks so much better when they're on, especially in the R8!

this screenshot seems to be from prologue demo. look at the mirror it's almost empty.you are right about the cockpit details it's awesome! but the cockpits in gt5p are fine but dials and other things are so much blurry and dont look like in that screenshot. I wish so...
maybe they fixed mirrors but then have to decrease some quality in the cockpit?

Maybe the eyes we can almost see in the enlighted close-up picture of the f1 2007 driver belong to ..... THE STIG himself !!??

I thought so, because that screenshot looks unbeleivable, are the graphics that good in Prologue or is it not true to the real graphics in game?

..... I think its KY!

As for the interior lights thing maybe it was an error by PD in the demo because Im sure for night races (like SS5) they will have the interior lights on but in prologue not having them on is correct because your lights arnt on in the day (unless the R8 has int lights on at all times...).

Basically the car interiors should look amazing on a night stage but for a daytime track they really shouldn't be on because its not 'accurate'.

True but you cannot say it doesnt look amazing. Id prefer the lights on all the time.

Dosn't the R8 have it's christmas lights....sorry LED lights on at all times? I know my honda has the dash binical lights on all the time it just dims them when you turn the lights on. Oh and it has to be KY, the Stig has no eyes, just a pair of IR cameras......or so some say? LOL

Oh no, I agree! and some cars in real life do have them on all the time (like on cars with LCD screens as dials)... but for most cars this is not accurate unless PD gives an option to drive with your lights on all the time!

EDIT - No the R8 doesn't have its LED lights on all the time... or as Clarkson discribes them "council house christmas lights" :sly:

This is insane...

edit: I wanted to make a comparison shot, but somehow, the GT shot doesn't show :(
bummer

edit2: oh.. here we go lol

I love GT series but i have to say this. The first time i saw the F2007 picture i thought that the front tires were wrong. They should be larger.
And after seeing these two pics, its clear the front tires are very "thin" when compared with the real ones.
I would prefer atention to the real tires size detail than the driver eyes.

Thanks for the continued updates again, amar. I'm really enjoying the QTS screens you posted and the options provided. Loving the improved gamma. More hope for a JPN update surfacing . . . wonderful. If so, obviously they'll fix the issue with credit limitations.

Thanks, also, gt3killer for the new F1 screens. Absolutely lovin' it. ™

The cockpit view it totally PGR, which isn't a bad thing, just a little unrealistic. Those last pics of the F2007 look amazing though.
Edit: I was replying to a few pictures several posts back. I didn't switch the page, but hopefully you know what I'm talking about.

Kinda dissapointed that the F2007 is from the very begining of the season and doesnt have all the developments Ferrari have done to the car throughout the season except the the wings infront of the cockpit which were added in France iirc, very strange tbh, maybe the retail version will have all the updates? I will still probaby get over it when i drive it though ;)

Here is a picture of the car in Brazil
http://www.autosport.com/gallery/photo.php/id/89343

Here are the most notible changes
-The front wing is alittle bit different, the top wing of it is changed; that is the nose from the 2006 car
-The engine cover has an elongated fin and isnt as steep
-Rim covers on both front and back, they had the ones in the back in 06 so i dont know what PD is thinking, Ferrari are using the same kind this year and they dont want anyone to study them very closely i guess?
-Front nose has an opening in the very front
-Sidepod winglets have slits, i know this is very small i wouldnt care if that is missing

Im also wondering if the roof cam on normal cars will be the T-cam-onboard camera that we see when the F1 cars are driven

You gotta be kidding me.............

? Im still happy to have it in there but they have modeled every other car so well and the one that is a little bit more complex just forces them to completely screw it up..

Nice to the QTS screens, looks pretty solid so far, is there a way you could upload some videos of a replay to get some of the sounds of the cars (F40 & GT LM) or something, would be pretty cool :)

I think the dash lights are on so you can see what speed etc you are doing more clearly. Obviously in rear life you can see everything amazingly. These are lit up to make up for the graphics that arnt exact to real life and that High Definition still isnt as sharp as the Human eye.
Enough of the F2007...What about the Jaguar XK and Ferrari F40, 512BB etc way more interesting...........IMO.

Boo at the damper setting still being the ancient 1-10 scale, but that's really only a minor niggle in the grand scheme of things.

"and last but not least, the Ferrari F2007 will be available at all Gran Turismo Ferrari dealerships for 2 million game credits."

I kinda interpreted that as meaning all versions of the game, which would mean updates are gonna happen. just a thought.

Amar212:
A simple, but important question: What ABS in this picture means?
1- Active Braking System, or
2- Anti Blocking System.

If answer two is true, this means that we can lock-up the wheels if setting is zero?

Anyway, congratulations for this great topic.

no, i wasnt. i missed your post. sorry :)

i wanted a confirmed answer from a player that actually HAS the game.

colors or wheels do not do justice for me.
You don't have to have the game to tell it's a 2006 model. Again, look at the colors and wheels. PD have been very good at getting the correct options for a car's model year.

yeah i noticed in the showroom pic of the ferrari F40 and f2007 that is was definately the Japanese version of the game because the current car selected was in japanese!!! (sorry if it's been mentioned!) so what's up with that???

I'm hearing a lot of complaints about the interiors of the cars and how they don't look "that" good..... i have to say that on my 1080p 50inch pana plasma the interiors look fantastic and all dials are easy to read!!!!! perhaps the only slight difference i would say is that there are a few jaggies evident with moving shadows etc.... but nothing that serious.... it really has to be seen on a big hp screen moving to be truly appreciated.... and if you really wanna blow yourself away do what i did and have gt4 going on component and gt5p in hdmi and flick between the two... then you really fully appreciate how far they have come :sly:

I think it means an update is coming our way (fingers crossed).

I hope you guys get the extra cars for free in an update, because it would be unfair otherwise.

With these new pics of the GT5P and the appearance of an official F1 car one might believe with sony's F1 license that all the other 2007 F1 cars might appear in the final game. Now if thats the case assuming F1 cars are going to appear in GT5, do you guys think during the F1 events, the tracks will be properly decorated to reflect what its like in the real world? Meaning with cranes, ppl on the bleachers waving their favorite teams flag, the sounds, etc, etc...Can imagine that? If you enter pit lane to see all the different teams pit crew standing there, that be so awesome to see. It would be nice to see the tracks populated with these kinds of details during events with race cars. Just a thought I wanted to share with you guys.
