This car was set up to win on the Nascar races. It makes the road races very easy but just watch the rear end doesn't step out when accelerating from sharp corners. Nice and easy is the key to this car.

if the transmission doesn't work for you. Try setting the max speed to 149mph when building the transmission and it has been shown to resolve the issues others have faced.

I used the daytona tune from the GT6 directory to win the other races in this series which is very good too.

I had to run this seasonal twice... first time I came in second.. the second time I won the race.. I took your advice and lower the max speed for building the transmission... it worked and had to fight the ai cars the whole time. thanks again.. cheers TC ps I got a PS4 and project cars. Wish me luck with project cars.

McLaren MP4-12C '10 (550PP SH) - Remove power to reach regs.

@shaunm80 . Since a couple guys were commenting how well the McLaren above was performing I decided to give it a try too. Ran into a similar issue as before. Regarding the 7th gear, furthest number it could be set at all the way to the right was 1.193 and not 1.206 as indicated (all other gears adjusted fine though). I did do the 600PP tune first and then the 550PP tune as advised. Then removed Sports Exhaust and lowered PP to 550, also advised.

Then to meet the 520PP limit for this particular Race further lowered Power Limiter from 67.4% to 52.8%.
What I've found besides the 7th gear limitation issue is that the car is stuttering and stuck at 126mph on the long straight. This is troubling.

Is it possible to provide a tune specifically for the 520PP for this car?

An easy gold with this tune. I achieved a 1.49 with this setup and I am not that great on dirt. It should be faster in a better drivers hands :)

Tuned with TCS 1 and ABS 1 only.

the dirt seasonal was a wild one. up and down the mountain... all you could see the cloud of dust in front of you and the next "hill climb" that was coming up fast. I did beat it and the ai cars by 2,127 seconds. the tune for this car is bloody brilliant.. the ai cars never saw me coming until I passed them. gold, credits, paint chips and the prize car is mine. Thank you. Cheers, TC.

Change the final gear to extend the top speed. 126mph isn't much speed for this car so that should be where the problem is.

I just won the Expert Level British Lightweight seasonal.. I took a suggestion that you made about changing the final gear fro the transmission for this car. It works.. I chased the ai cars one by one. by the time I was on the end of the second lap I was in 5th place. lap 3 was in 3rd place.. lap 5 the chase was on and I passed the lead ai car and charging hard for the finish line.. Won the race, the credits, the paint and the car... you are the man.. thanks again for the setups in the past and in the future.. Cheers TC.

Change the final gear to extend the top speed. 126mph isn't much speed for this car so that should be where the problem is.

Decided to start from scratch with the tunes again starting from the 600PP tune, copying then adjusting further for the 550PP....then further lowering the power to make the 520PP (Lord a'mighty).

Finally got all the Transmission settings. What I found was that the initial 4.500 FG just allowed me to set the 7th gear to 1.193 furthest to right. By adjusting the initial FG from 4.500 to a lower amount I was then able to get the 7th gear to the stated 1.206. (All settings are now correct including resetting for final gear). Not getting stuck/stuttering at 126mph on the long straights anymore.

@coryclifford I'll next try it stock as you suggested also.

Hi shaunm80.. How are you doing ? I hope all is going well with you. question have you checked any of the Project Cars videos yet ? I have played it once & won a race so far. Do you or know any one that set up a tuning database for P.Cars yet ? I will be going back and forth between GT6 & Project Cars. Have a good day and a good week. Cheers TC.

CoTM Reviews from @Bowtie-muscle.

SLS AMG review:

@shaunm80 650pp SS
Loads of grip, but maybe too much mid-corner as some minor understeer can appear.
Adjusting the line does help. Brakes are excellent, which leads you to drive in deeper but that helps induce some of the understeer. Trans and LSD are fantastic, making application of power smooth and easy. I like this Benz, and this tune helps with the enjoyment factor, and I hated this car in GT5.
Nice work, best lap at Eifel Woods - 1:29.248

Corvette Stingray (C7) '14 600pp RH
I love this car and have many versions in my garage, and one waiting for me to find the time to post. Handling can be awesome if done right, but the time may be slower than the C6 Z06. This tune shows that perfectly as it checks every box and hard to find any fault. Might need a tick, just a tiny bit more turn-in and mid-corner rotation, but it might hurt to change anything, therefore I would leave it as is.
Nearly perfect, might be your best tune I have ever driven, or it just may be that I thoroughly enjoy this car. Either way, fantastic tune, smooth - stable - and puts a smile on your face driving.
Great job :) 👍
Best lap at Eifel Woods - 1:32.424

R8 4.2 R tronic '07 599pp RH
Just like the Stingray, it checks off most of the boxes with rear end looseness if you push too hard. Being aided with front and rear downforce, it is capable of setting some really low lap times. As you will see, you can stuff it in a corner harder and hold the line, power is to apply and brakes that do the job right if you find the proper zone. Too late and the rear can step out, so be smart and it will reward you.
Best lap at Eifel Woods - 1:29.808

Viper GTS '13 650pp RH
There are plenty of offline A-spec races against AI race cars where this thing would destroy the field.
Very stable for a Viper, though very slow corner exit may require some throttle control, but otherwise it is just fast and furious.
Brilliant tune , best lap at Eifel Woods - 1:26.481 (my personal fastest in a street car, although very few have had a pp level this high. Still, says something about how good this tune really is). :D

Shelby GT500 '13 630pp RH
And now back to your regularly scheduled program. And reality too.
Ok, so it's not a bad tune but just a tough car to get to rotate. You did a really good job here with what you had to work with and inspired me to do a 630pp version. (mine was 1.2 secs faster :sly: :P)
Feels stiff and does take some patience after driving the 3 aforementioned tunes. But once you get the line down, it's not s bad. Just slower while being stable and strong down the straights.
Best lap at Eifel Woods - 1:31.993 (impressive on my book for this car :dopey:)

thats good that your not stuck on 126mph anymore. Some cars need to built in a particular order in order to get the transmission design right. If they have multiple PP levels, I usually use one transmission and leave it at that.

I am doing well thanks. My final revision day for the exam tomorrow. I don't have Pcars and I doubt that I will spend money on it. I am saving my money for GT Sports (GT 7?) now. I hear good things about it but it is much easier with a wheel I have been told. Hope you enjoy that game.
I will PM you the McLaren MP4-12C '10 520PP tune later, hey @shaunm80 I will test some more CoTM cars later :).
Looking forward to the reviews. :) Thanks.

This sports SUV isn't the best car in the game and it isn't the fastest 4WD ever but it will surprise you with its agility. It is rather heavy so don't expect it to corner like a Ferrari and you might enjoy driving this beast of a Chelsea tractor.

Finally found the time to get gold on the expert seasonal race. I used this car quoted and I have to say, I forgot how good this car is. The amount of grip this car has is sublime and made for a very fun (and fast) race. Won by 12 seconds and even lapped the 12th place car in the process. Awesome car indeed. :)
