The Fiat and Lotus race, i found pretty much easy, but for some weird reason i just cant get anywhere near to winning on the Subaru event, had so many set ups, used many of the set ups from on here and i seem to be getting slower.
Anyone with a decent set up that actually works? think i will go back to stock and start again..

Put a turbo in the car, high range. I also just gave it a basic AWD setup with the suspension. Set the last gears further apart, try to max the top speed since Laguna Seca has long straights and you'll be drafting.

I finally won Laguna last night EASILY with a mish mash of 3 different setups. I didn't record the numbers, but I'll share the car for you (& anyone else) to use if you want. Just FR me. My PSN is Rhinoafrica.

With no special driving, I won by 2.6 sec... Yay! :) (At bloody last! lol!)

Even using the SHIRAKAWA Akira tune, I can't get past 4th in the Fiat 500 - 39 seconds on my first try.

Frustrating to say the least.
It's tougher than it looks. I've done it twice and when I tried to do it again the other day, I gave up after about half an hour!

Whoop whoop! Job done! Just golded the Elise race with a bastardised RKM setup. My hands were literally sweating on the last 2 laps once I saw I was in with a real shout.

I also did the last Ferrari F1 seasonal - 10 laps of the long Eifel circuit. Quite an intense 20-something minutes!

P.S. MJGAIR, did you try the Scooby?

Finally past the sooby event won by 1.4 secs i used a tune simular 2 rotary junkies just had to cosintrait i guess had to hit those red curbe s and brake a bit early and i ran some 1:35's got another Toyota 7 again tho that makes 2 >.>

Finally Golded Laguna..Used Rotary Junkie's tune. Phew!! what a head rush. Now for the Elise.

Get in there!!! Just nailed the Elise...after so many hours and trials, I finally won all the expert races.

Got there using RJ's tune tweaked a little bit Toe and camber to zero and a little more rear break. got the Camero LM for the Fiat, Pagani LM for the Lotus and McLaren F1 GTR for the STi.. happy day for me!!!!

This worked a treat, daddy needed a new level 23 ticket!

lol, great work by Jaywalker!

If anyone is still having issues with the elise expert seasonal, try this setup. I got so frustrated with this track, I couldnt get any better than 2nd and 1.03 secs behind the leader. With this setup I won it the first try by 1.93 seconds.

Lotus elise 111r '04 got the oil change right after I bought it.

I set the transmission to 168 top speed and didnt make any adjustments to the individual gears. Follow the driving preferred line and braking points and whenever possible, if overtaking in turns, pass on the inside to avoid AI cars taking you out. You have to make sure to keep your car above 860kg and at or under 194HP and sports hard tires or less.
Hope this helps.

I actually did the Elise and Fiat ones after a drinking session so they couldn't have been that difficult!

The Laguna one was way too annoying. After a few close finishes, I just gave up and cut the corner that leads onto Rahal Straight. Quite an easy win if you cheat :)

Just finished my 3rd try of the Elise, got 4th.

So you guys keep saying RKM tune, but that is just a general tune, power and weight are totally off. Did you guys just follow his tranny, diff and suspension?

I'm sharing the car I managed to win with, add me on PSN if you want. I'd recommend using MT if you aren't already, and short shifting in the lower gears. I only have a sixaxis, and I've managed the Impreza and the Elise, but still nowhere near with the Fiat...

I'll share all the cars I won with later. (About 4 hrs time) With the Fiat you must brake as little as possible (I think there are only 3 or 4 corners where you brake, if I remember correctly), but rather lift off the throttle & carry your speed into & through the corners. Then get back on the gas as soon as possible. You need to be right on the edge.

Anyone has the lap times to gold the Subaru race? 👍

Crazy stuff, i flat out ran the 500 without so much as braking once and was still over 30 seconds behind the leader in the audi and placed 6th. Im glad they choose to make these type of events few and far between because i dont have a prayer at ever wininng them.:sly:

Don't give up, dude. It's a good feeling when you crack it. Read all the tips & put them into practice. In this one, your brake pedal is not your friend. I have a good setup on my car which I'll share again later. Friend me & give it a go... :)

I won the 500 event on my 2nd or 3rd try. the elise event i sat at 2nd place for a while, and the STi event the best i could get was 9th..... until yesterday. I tried every tune that i could find on here, and just couldn't get faster than a 1:35.6xx. So I just tuned the car myself the way I've tuned all my other cars and was able to run a 1:36.2xx on my first lap and low 1:34's the rest of the time.

On the elise race, i just put on the mid range turbo and raised the top speed to keep the engine in the mid rev powerband. Passed the 1st place guy just as we both braked for the final long turn.
