I happen to love ME, it had all the quirks of 95, all the advantages of 98 and all of the irritating aspects of every windows OS before it. It also had a searchable help index thingy which consisted of about 5 articles which it would present to you no matter what your problem was.

I run ME alongside XP and Ubuntu Linux, I still use ME every now and then.

Any UK want a game of F.E.A.R online sometime. Just before Christmas, if you do.

I can have a game of F.E.A.R online at the weekend, not this weekend. Most likey to be busy again, but PM me. And I should know when.
 
My girlfriend slipped this weekend and told me she already bought this for me for christmas. Its with my other christmas goodies. Just have to wait to open it. :dopey:

Yes staring at the wrapped FEAR package, knowing what it is and not being able to play, is killing me. :scared:

OMFG! I may have found a way to play FEAR without getting a really expensive ass obsolete puter! There's an internet... well gaming cafe over near my place and they will probably get FEAR on their systems!!

$100 later, you notice you still dont own Fear, and havent been home for 2 days, hehehe.
 
:grumpy: yeah yeah... that won't happen, I just wanna play it before I buy it. Why? dunno because I'll still buy it and buy the damn obsolete expensive computer. :banghead:
 
Think about it, pay good money, for a fast computer, and run that computer till its death. There is so many great PC games, its hard not to buy a great PC. Think of it this way, computer is not only used for gaming, im sure you use it for email, internet, downloads, and programs like photoshop and so on.
 
I just don't have the funds to go all out for one... And I'm really reluctant to get a new one because it's gonna be worthless in 3 mo. :grumpy:

If you can run FEAR nicely, you can run FAR CRY, Doom 3, HL2, and other great games on high settings. Are you looking to play only this game?

Dont worry, I will be taking plenty in about 2 days when I finally get to unwrap it.
When you take a screen shot in fear do you have to paste it into paint or does it go to a certain file some where??? Some games send the pics to a file (Age of empires 3) then you go to that file to get the pics. However other games dont have that nice option and you have to paste them into a different program and save. 2 more days!!!! :)
 
My screen shot tool does not work in F.E.A.R going to try and use Xfire to take screens from F.E.A.R. Its funny I can turn most settings up on max on F.E.A.R with lots of frames, but in BF2 it is a different story.
 
Ok everyone I finally got to open FEAR from my GF. :D
What servers are you usually on or what rooms? I will be on later tonight after all the christmas parties. I am going to install it right now and mabey play for a few minutes before all the parties begin.
 
i just got fear today :) but i'm not gonna install it untill i get my x800gto... i want to play this game the way it was meant to be played... and i just cant run the game at high settings with the 9600xt....

Just make sure you download the lastest patch. Shame you did not get the DVD version.

Will I be missing out on anyting since I have the CD version instead of the DVD version?
Looks like my video card or PC cant handle the full version of FEAR. I might need some suggestions on a new video card unless my PC just isnt fast enough. So far I have not had a problem with any game on the highest settings besides this one.
Here is a pic in 1024x768 but on only medium settings. It wont run on high settings. Runs very slow.
There has to be an easier way to get screenshots too instead of using print screen then PAINT.
 
i just ordered an x800gto AGP 256mb and a 430watt psu. i should be able to run fear on max details with AA and AF. :) the stuff should be here by tuesday or wednsday. i cant wait!!!!
 
Here are a few screenshots from the single player. I am going to play multiplayer for a while. Hopefully as the game progresses I can shoot off peoples arms and legs. The only gore I have been able to create so far is from my grenades.



 
I am not sure. I played in one room so far but most there was a guy killing everyone on his own team. I can try to start my own room. I will call it GTP Team death match. If you want to join come on in.
