If F1 never raced there that doesn't mean we have to wait to see where the correct line is.

Nevertheless it's fine to see some new videos.
 
I have no hope for this based on... Codemasters. Who knows, maybe I'll be surprised.

You may be surprised considering since they made F1 2011 they have changed the company so it only makes racing games, hence the new name 'Codemasters Racing'.
 
So the release was about September, right? Excuse me asking (maybe again) but will it be mid September or even next week, do we know anything about that? Thanks...

Change of replay cameras sounds like a GREAT idea. I'm shocked to hear about them maybe moving in the right direction on that. The cameras should useful for spotting what went wrong for example. Did a wheel lock or were the dampers too hard which caused a spinout or such? All we need for that is one (1) freecam that can do controlled slowmotion. And then add a thousand cameras on anything else if they like (but preferrably not).

But then again, the music during the video still indicates that they are stuck in their violins epicness swamp. Somebody please tell them that F1 racing is supposed to be upbeat and have pulse and furious speed, NOT using slowmo to convey an epic tale of heroes. Ffs.

My views on the new Dev diary are pretty much the same as before, nothing new to me.

One thing i was concerned/surprised about was that the sauber had the chelsea fc logo on (2:23 in video).... i thought that they couldnt change the cars after they modeled them (before australia)? (the chelsea logo was put on around the spanish gp time)

In previous years, the Spanish grand prix has been their deadline for livery changes. I remember someone complaining on their forum about them not including some change that was made after last year's Spanish grand prix. This was the response they got iirc.
 
At least nobody can complain about the lack of driver changes in-game this time. Every driver who started the season is still driving as we go into the twelfth round, and it doesn't look like any changes will be made any time soon. The only rumour I've heard is that Narain Karthikeyan's contract only guarantees him a seat up to and including the Indian Grand Prix.

I asked the CM forums your question (I wasn't sure myself) and apparently the cars are Melbourne spec via the engineering etc.., but CM can edit the livery's with Sauber's permission. (there is a good chance sauber asked CM to put the logo on the car for sponsorship reasons) (that was from some community members, not T4RG4 or any of the CM community managers, so it could be wrong) :)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me, and ill try to find out via the CM forums. :)

Glad I got my pre-order down in time, but the likelyhood is that you'll probably get a better or as good deal closer to release.
 
Yeah I'll keep an eye out, I have a pre-order at Amazon already but I can always cancel.

Heh, still a great game isn't it? I much prefer it to 2011. I think I'm going to start it up in a bit and see if I can get a Spa 20% race going.
