F1 cars

I thuoght there was an F1 car with more than 900 hp, is there one with this much horse power. Is the escudo the one with the most hp, and does it drive the fasted

I have 3 of the F1 cars and the F686/M has over 920hp.
I think the Escudo equiped with turbo is closer to 1900hp and
is the one I have with more hp.

the escudo has got 1889 hp, is that the highest hp a car has ? I want the F1 car with 920hp but I don't have this car, I sold it as well. I'm such a dump idiot. How does it drive, Is it faster than the F1 with 826 hp ?

I believe this (F686/M) is the F1 with high HP (926hp?). I got it in the Mistral 78 laps (endurance) but you also can get it in:

- Formula GT Championship Race (professional)
- Get all golds (professional)
- Laguna Seca 200 Endurance (endurance)

The problem with this car is that it is heavier than the others (not so easy to make turns and higher tire consuming) but still faster!

I personally prefer the F688/S with 826hp and try to get the tires to the extreme (piting in one time less than the other cars in the race).

Have you tryed to put less down forced on the rear wing ? Does it still turn pethetic then. I want the car so badly now but I wonder if it is worth it. Does anybody have the concept viper. How dies that thing drive ?

Well, I believe with a good settings change this car could be better on handling but still you have the weight problem that impacts on tire consuming. Again, maybe with some changes it could do better.

You named some tracks were you can get this heavy F1 car. The problem I always have is that you can win 4 different cars within one track or competetion. So I need to complete it like 6 times before I get this car. Is there a trick for this ?

In both endurances there is no trick except for staying in front of the console for a long time and trying to hit the right car when the flashing circles are below the right one (what can be tricky when all cars are F1 and you don't know the position of the right one )

Get all golds in professional mode... you need some time, but in the end you get it.

In Formula GT Championship Race (professional) you can save the game in the #9 race and repeat just the last race until you get it... just one advice: this last race has almost the (or the same) number of laps of the Mistral 78 laps endurance (if I am not wrong).

yea, apparently hitting X or one of the L buttons while the one you want has the question mark on it, chooses it. you gotta be quick, but not too quick. now I've never gotten this to work, but most people usually do..

...me neither, I just don't know if I have to hit everytime it is below the car or just once (first one?) but sometimes it seems to work

I've been successful a few times. But they usually put the crappiest cars next to the best car, so you've got to be really good (:

You got to be kiddin, which of the 3 buttons do you press, cause i'll be going crazy pressing on the buttons. I don't want to drive the course like 30 times before I acctually get the car I want. I tried driving really good, not hitting the wall once for 200 laps and not hitting any cars, and I got a ****ty car ? Where can I get the Viper concept ?

I've tried this many times, and it's never worked. I'm sure this is just an urban myth spread by people with a great sense of humour. Imagine all those players just missing the car they wanted, shaking their heads and saying 'aaargh, next time..' when all along it's all a load of bollox. Great stuff!

supose the trick with the moving circles works, finish the #9 race of the Formula GT Championship Race (professional). Go to the last race, start playing and quit the championship with sufficient points to win the championship... keep doing that until you find the position of the car you want. Now it's time to make the last race and hit the right car again
or maybe keep going and wait for it, lot easier

that is a wonderful idea, I'm gonna try that. I still don't know anything about the viper concept. Is there anyone that has this car and that can tell me about it's performance. It looks like a cool car, and is there car car that goes faster than the escudo, without using the slip stream !

Your from Europe right? If you are you will not get the F686/M that is a NTSC F1 car not a PAL F1 car. The 001 is the best F1 car in the game. Also if you have PAL you will only get 2 F1 cars, the PAL 001 and 002, the 001 is a 1995 Williams Renault and the 002 is i believe a F688/S (1988 Senna driven F1 car)

I got a qeustion for one of you. In the car list there are about 6 different F1 cars. How do I know which one is which. I do have a european version, so how many different formula 1 cars can I get. And which one is the best to drive with, and how can I tell if it is Aryton senna's car or Damon Hill's car ?

The European (PAL) version only gets two F1 cars: Polyphony 001 and Polyphony 002. The 001 is the equivalent of the F094/S (S = Senna). The 002 is similar but just doesn't handle as well, whether it's supposed to be the equivalent of the F094/H (H = Hill) I'm not sure...

Choosing with X does work! I did the Poloyphony digital cup followed by the super speedway endurace (2nd time just to get the Falcon) at the weekend and used the X trick sucessfully on both.

Nope, perfectly sober. In the polyphony cup I saw the speed 12 and when the ring was on it I hit X, on the next round it selected the TVR. The same thing happened with the Falcon, trust me, it works. Try it again ASAP and tell me what happened. Of course, I just might have the knack, and you don't

The 002 is the F688/S not the F094/S.

NTSC=6 f1 cars F686/m,87/S,88/S,90/S,94/H/94/S
PAL=2 f1 cars 001(94/S in game 1995 Williams in real life) and 002(F688/S)

But which one is nicer to drive with, I know that the f1 from 88 is heavier but it has more horse power. Eventhough it does invluance your braking and cornering. Do you get the Escudo effect or is it not that bad. I ran out of options for cars to win. anybody can tell me what there favorite car is, so I can start lovin' a new car

mad: I just tried to get one of the F1 cars at the endurance Laguna Sega course, and I failed once again. I got that dumb Skyline. The pressing the x button is the worst idea ever to, what a dumb myth. Is there an easier course to get this car on ?

Well, I don't know which race are you talking about, but if it is the one in the Formula GT the F688/S does good. The faster one F686/M stops by the last lap or so and you don't need to. I usually get multiple of 8 laps to stop with this car and if I am not wrong laguna seca (in Formula GT series) has 33 laps so I try to minimize tire's consuming and run one more lap.
