To be "the most realistic yet" you might want to work on your presentation a bit more.

Good luck though. 👍

I said "one of the" not "the"

Just trying to help. If you look around the online racing section, the most successful have a lot of time and effort into their posts.

This could be a really cool series. Add more info. how many laps? Room settings?
Bit of advice, run long races to make them interesting with pit strat etc. and scrap the teams (the cars are all the same)
I cant do thursdays unfortunatley :(

I do prefer the F10 to the '07 funnily enough. Get some graphics, more info and organization on the thread and I'm sure you'll pull in some drivers 👍

EDIT: And maybe a spell check 'suzaka' ;)

Haha just kidding. Take some pointers from how other guys set out their threads, just makes things look a bit more professional 👍

Ya im trying, I cant put an image in unless I want it to be a huge link because im on a mac.

What is this league to be called?

OK im just gonna call this quits because no one wants to join because the thread has no super pretty pictures on it.
Mods lock this.

I have only 1 pic on my thread and its one of the strongest championships around. People have taken the time to offer advice and you got someone interested, why give up if you want to race these cars?

Seriously though
I can create a logo, maybe take a few good pics in GT5 and help you create a more professional looking presentation

Guys, I'm on a mac. If I try to put a picture up it will be a huge link.

You should pursue it mate, making a series is fun and rewarding. Not really sure what you mean about the mac though, I don't have one but surely you just copy the URL of the image into the 'Add image' box just like on any PC?

u there?

How you gonna be safety car when you can only use the ferrari F1 when the restriction is on?

Anyway sign me up & what those time for UK? I don't know :/

You cannot use a safety car with Ferrari F1 unless its another Ferrari F1.

I ran a Ferrari F1 league with both F2007 and F10 no driving aids; a while back. I finished 2nd overall in the F10. Its only a tad slower but much much harder to drive, especially since the 2.01 update. Its maybe 1 second per 1 minute off the pace of the F2007.

The Ferrari's offer great racing, much better than the Formula GT. The Formula GT doesnt allow for much pushing, and its hard to drive without aids which takes away from the enjoyment.

F1 2011 offers reasonably authentic F1 racing from what I read & hear. The graphics on the PS3 version along with the frame rate are going to be major issues. The latest update may have smoothed that out.

I'm thinking about switching over to that game. Its on my mind.

I might be getting F1 2011 tomorrow, it looks great & its really realistic, my mate has it & online is great fun (if your with clean racers) & realistic. Take damage & pitting for example, your front wing is smashed off, go to pits, watch them change it like in real life.

Is he using the PC version or the PS3 or the Xbox?

The PC if very very nice from what I hear. The game was basically designed around PC. The XBox has satisfactory performance, and the PS3 was very crappy graphically. But if you can see the track It might be do-able. :sly:

I took a look at it and it seemed a little "fast". The distances seemed farther, the speed looked faster than in real life. I liked the graphics in F1 2010, you could see your braking points, and the scenery wasnt bad.

But if your friend has the PS3 version how does he like it? Is it satisfactory visibility wise? I know they improved their physics, so now you can hit kerbs & countersteer when you slide. Its just the graphics I'm worried about.

Yer he's on PS3. I don't know much about what the graphics are like but he did say that if you have a HD TV & HDMI cable its quite good. Most games are designed for PC only 1st, all they do is downgrade everything, take BF3 for instance, they made it for PC only & literally downgraded the software, thats why theres loads of problems.

I use HD TV. I will try playing it at Target or something, I'll see if somebody can let me try it out first. Does anybody know where I can go to demo a game briefly for free? I'm thinking game stop, or something.

In the UK we have a store called HMV, they do a section for new games for people to try for free, is there anything like that near you?

So... You're not interested anymore.
I'm still here if you decide to try to start up the F10 league again

We can, tomorrow when I'm at my computer I'll PM you Schwardz and we can get this up and running again.

I dont have to out the Regulation on, Its a league im pretty sure everyone who signed up will use the right car.

We need to combine these feelers and start pulling in some people and getting the word out. I emailed (through PS3) many friends who I know roll the F1's, and got a lot of interest there, but no one went to the site.

Here is my feeler thread.

Here is another recent one I've run across.

This is Rich's old thread.

I'm not sure how or why you'd want to be safety car. Plus I see no possible way that would ever work in an effective way. Get out there and race with us.

I'm telling you Rich; I haven't played F1'11 in a long time. Aside from the graphics; I think the online interface blows too. I'd say you can buy my copy, but it has that online registering bs.

With winter approaching I'd love to get another season going with sim-like regulations (I know I'll never get my no ABS).

Also, running on weekdays before 6PM EST isn't going to help get a big grid. I think Sat. or Sun around 12-2PM EST would be best for North Am. and has the opportunity to pull in Europe and even die hards in Asia.

I'm busy with the Formula GT championship. Its very competitive & the way the car drives is totally the opposite of the Ferrari F1.

Its very hard to go back and forth, its like two diff worlds.....

toolo4sno I recommend you give the races a try in that series....

Maybe I'll try a Ferrari F1 league....I dont know. Its tough to run it the way it should be run and do the FGTC at the same time.

Yes you do. F1 cars are only allowed on the track when you select the F1 restriction, and no other cars are allowed on track with them. You can't even have FGT's race against them. Ferrari mandated this and PD complied.
