Okay, this message is particularly for anyone that feels like helping, if you don't oh well. I have over 14K miles on my F1 car in GT mode, but when I use this thing in arcade mode (first time ever using arcade since the game came out) it's almost impossible to get around the track without flying off. I mean really, I've never raced in arcade mode out of the more than 3000 days I gotten in the game, so any help is better than nothing.

Times so far:
41.342
1:14.967

The F1 car is extremely twitchy. Remember that in Arcade mode, the suspension is stiff as $*!%, and if you don't have a light hand, you will fly off the track. Especially on the super-fast left hander after the backstretch. There is a small bump that you will hit and if you are turning hard, throw the car off balance.
Also, don't hit the curbing like the F1 guys on TV do, you'll upset the balance. Stay on the tarmac and you'll be alright.

The sweeping left turn right after the back stretch is the only thing I seem to he good at. My problem spots seem to be the first turn off the front stretch (the car is really inconsistent, some times I'm dead on and others I'm spinning like an SOB, but I have turned spinning through that turn into an art!!!), the tunnel turn ( the car seems really tight), and the final S's before getting back onto the front stretch (whenever it seems like I've nailed it I can't avoid the the chicane and I go flying into the sand). I've tried doing it without the TCS but the car is way off in the slow speed turns. I've improved to just over times of 40.00 and 1:13.00, I guess it's a matter of practice makes perfect. But I gotta say, this car sucks. And just so my teammate knows, our colors are blue and yellow.:dunce:

Does anyone have any full lap times they are willing to display? I'd like to see how bad I'm really doing overall, not just at the other checkpoints.

i wondering are you guys all run without tcs???:odd:

Aye! TCS + Track With Long Straights = Slow Times (imo of course)

i think suzuka have pretty much slow turn, run without tcs would slow you down:) imo i think run with tcs really match my driving style.👍

So what are the LAP (not total) times you guys are pulling.

I've got a best of 1:30.697 so far. But I am nowhere in the consistency I'd like to be. But as to your post about TCS, if we were doing it like F1 is really done, we'd be in sim mode where you can tweak the car. You think that in F1 they go wow this car handles like sh#$ but I'll race it anyway?

I kinda like the idea of using TCS, I've always had problems with wearing out tires fast (Lead foot, I need a DFP!) so it might help my pitting strategy.

HAH! See peeple, not everyone has a dfp so they can be conservative! TCS is the way to go (but boo on ASM).
Anyway this is only a 12 lpa race but how much times have you guys had to pit and what compound are you using?

One Pit stop for 12 laps, using ds2. Its not too hard to just give 3/4 throttle or whatever. I sure hope tcs doesnt become mandatory.....:nervous: I really find it better to turn it off. Pitting on the half way point, and by the time I hit T2 on lap 6, I'm beat orange, lol.
Hmm...incase this tcs come mandatory I should run some hotlaps with it on so next week I'm not in the dark, eh?

If they cant find the right balance for their car then what are they gonna do, say to hell with racing i'll come back when the car is handling how I want it? No, they get out there and they do it anyway.

Pitting once should be enough, and it doesnt matter what tyre you pick, they all do the same lap times and wear at the same rate.

i put up a poll on making tcs mandatory or not wich ever is winning by the time the next race is will be what it is

Why can't it just remain optional through out the series? I'don't like the idea of not using tcs at all.👎

Agreed.

Oh,Good thing I waited to vote. If I had to choose either or, I would of gone with tcs.
There may be some tracks here where I may not want to use tcs. I'm no expert driver at controlling wheel spin.
