Will buying the Family Pack allow me to race a Spa offline ?

Sorry - edit not -- a Spa should be at Spa

If you already own the track pack with Spa (initial rollout DLC) you can already do so without the FP.

EDIT: Unless you mean on a different account, or mean in some other way like LAN.

EDIT2: Oh wait, you said "a Spa" offline... I should learn to not miss single vowels when reading :p

Well I raced at Spa at home after downloading the £9.69 pack, then when offilne at a mates house SPA was unavailable as were the Touring Cars.

Same account.

Have I got a glitched system ?

If it was your account but on a different system then you have to Re-Install the Spa track as you did on your system.

No the machine is the same. The only thing that had changed was that I was not online.

That's weird, it should work. Try the family pack (it's free) otherwise I have no idea how to fix that.

Thanks for the quick responses. Looks like I have a bit more digging to do. So disappointed after telling my mates how good Spa was!! Will keep the thread updated with any progress.

 It's free!

But for the track you've indeed to buy the track pack.

Do you mean by 'it's offline' you don't log in to PSN on that account? You have to do this at least one time in order to be able to select the DLC menu on the start menu screen and select the Track Pack so it becomes 'installed', basically just unlocked.

Also make sure that you updated to 2.07 as it's required to sign in and get the track running. Though I guess it is installed already since the game data is not fixed to one account if it's on the same PS3.

That's exactly what I have done. And played with my DLC cars on the DLC track - Spa

And the update is forced on me anyway so there's no way that hasn't been done.

Could someone with the family pack and car pack unplug their PS3 from the internet and see if the tracks and cars are still available, just wondering if it's everyone or just me? Thanks in advance.

got ps3 home -installed family pack and everything is groovy. s
shame someone didn't tell me when i bought it.
:dunce:

I've tried Spa in a non DLC car and Motegi Oval in a DLC car with my internet connection switched off. Everything worked.

And yes. I do have the family pack.

Hmmm. Without being logged in to PSN I can now drive Spa, but the DLC cars have yellow exclamation marks next to them, and won't let me race them, unless I'm signed in to PSN.

Oh for goodness sake there are two family packs. One for cars and one for tracks. Doh !!!!
