there is a famous car, well a picture, at the tvr screen, at top, see the film last night a thought ****ing wow,

i want 2 see how long it take someone 2 check it a come back, 2 real big actors are in it, they have a shoot up the strange thing is that it has brit plates in it but usa film, u cant drive it its just a picture,

Dude, if you're talking about the TVR Tuscan, yes you CAN drive it in GT4.

Being in a lame film with Hugh Jackman and John Travolta does not a "famous" car make.

i thought i was being clever, dag namit, :indiff:
sorry for that didnt know u can drive it, not to good on gt4 got 100% on gt3 im at 90.3% at the mo, 13 golds, mission 34 to do and 3 enduros

Interesting thread idea actually. What other famous movie cars can be replicated in the game?

I can think of only one and a half - *
Alfa Duetto Spider (I am sure the Spider in The Graduate with Dustin Hoffman was a boat-tail one like in the game, and red)

The General Lee from The Dukes Of Hazzard... I believe that's a Dodge Charger? Forget if an orange one is in the game. Can't get one with the flag on the roof but I am quite sure the doors on the one on GT4 are welded shut because I've never seen them open :dopey:

White Dodge Challenger from Vanishing Point

Red Corvette Stingray from Stingray... haven't seen this movie since I was about 8 years old. Can't remember if it was a '350 style or the split rear window one. While on the subject of Corvettes, I do believe that one of the members of '60 surfing pop group Chaz and Dean, or something like that, ruined his career when he crashed his split window style 'vette, and I believe that the Def Leppard drummer lost his arm by rolling his 'vette in the '80s in an ambitious overtaking attempt.

Blue Cobra from The original Gumball Rally movie

Jim Carrey drove a silver Saleen S7 in Bruce Almighty

Emma Peel in the original Avengers series had a Lotus Elan DHC. not sure what colour or series but I am sure it wasn't a Sprint. In the recent movie remake she had an E-type, dunno what colour, but I suspect it was a drop top. So almost in the game...

James Bond has quite a list of cars in the game - the BRG Aston Martin Vanquish (The World Is Not Enough I think) , white Toyota 2000GT (a late Sean Connery or early Roger Moore movie), a white Lotus Turbo Esprit (blown up in For Your Eyes Only, and replaced with a bronzy one) can be approximated with the white HC in the game

A silver Shelby Series 1 met a fiery end in the remake or Rollerball

The MINIs from The Italian Job remake?

Also I seem to recall that, speaking of the Tuscan in Swordfish, the Tuscan has never been type approved in the USA, I am not sure if it is even legal to drive one on the public road there? I suppose a personal import could be registered but.... has anyone done it? Or am I plain wrong?

Apologies for any errors in this trivia list

*OK I thought of a few more.... :)

In Gone in 60 seconds nearing the end a Jaguar XJ220 is delivered to the docks... i believe it's Angelina Jolie that delivers it...
It ain't much, but it is the only one i can think of at the moment :)

In Gone in 60 seconds, isn't the last car Cage gets a Shelby Mustang (around a 69)?
In Bullit, if memory serves me correctly, Steve McQueen is chasing a GTO in his Mustang in that bad-ass car chase through San Francisco.

"Eleanor" was a '67 GT500, now being produced by Shelby both in fastback and convertible form. In Bullitt McQueen's '68 Mustang was chasing a '69 Charger not a GTO.

The DeLorean was in all the Back to the Future Movies. There was a Cobra and a Viper in Gone in 60 Seconds, the original film had a '71 Charger and a Superbird. There was a '69 Camaro, '71 Challenger, Viper, and Corvette in 2 Fast 2 Furious (along with too many other cars to mention) and while I'm on the subject there was a '69 Charger in Fast and the Furious as well.

In the movie (Gone in 60...) it is written and listed as the Shelby GT 500, but it looks a whole hell of a lot more like the GT 350, it's simply not big enough to be a 500.

Another bond car: dont forget the renault 5 turbo that was in 'never say never agian', it was also in the last (and most rubbish) pink panther film with Joanna Lumley driving it........

<anorak off>

Correct me if I'm wrong, but another John Travolta movie, The Punisher, has an Aston Martin not sure of the model though.

The difference between the GT500 and the GT350 was the size of the engine not the size of the car. In '67 both of them we're based of off the "67 Fastback. There was no difference in the size of the two cars.

In all honesty, friend, I think you need to take a few deep breaths, maybe sober up, and then come back when you can post something a little more intelligble. We'll still be here.

Yes, I've been told this many times before. Yet I have stood beside both cars, I have even stood between both cars. The 500 is bigger. I even have pictures from the 2004 Toronto Autoshow (not that they give good dimensional analysis), it was quite clear that there was a size difference.

don't forget about chris tucker's black C3 corvette in rush hour,
even though it was a convertible version.
yes it was amusing that jackie chan tore off the steering wheel!

not sure if anyone saw last post, its has same number plate as the one in swordfish, w998 afr, look at top of screen in TVR garage before u select tune up new or leg or race, :dopey: we coube here all night naming all cars in films its just that car was in a film

Can't believe I forgot the DeLorean!! Back to The Future is one of my favourite movies (and BTTF 2 and BTTF3 are another two...)

I CAN believe I forgot about Herbie though. It's one of those cars I just really really want to forget

Here's one at a stretch: That red special '80s Camaro you win in one of the American series shares a basic body with the '80's Trans-Am, soooo.... if you squint, use a black and white TV, and ignore the nose and tail, you get KITT from Knight Rider! You can even equip it with Turbo Boost! :) :)

OK I admit that's stretching it... Oh, and I haven't actually tried adding a turbo to it.....

Bond also drove a 2CV - although I forget offhand which film.

Madeline Magellan from "Jonathan Creek" drives a red Volvo 240GLT.

Ah yeah Bond's 2CV! He drove that in For Your Eyes Only, to escape from the bad guys when they triggered the anti theft device on his white Turbo Esprit, which responded by exploding.

Bond also drove the car I most wanted to find in the game, an Alfetta GTV6, in Octopussy. He has excellent taste :sly:

Bond ALSO drove a BMW Z3 Roadster (Goldeneye) which, although not in the game, has its chassis represented by the Z3 M Coupe. He also also drove an Aston Martin V8 Virage which, again, isn't in the game but has its chassis represented by the V8 Vantage.

Out of interest, didn't Wade in Goldeneye drive a FIAT 500?
