know this was a while ago...

March... my bad. Forgot to look at the date. :dunce:
I'll take back what I said then.

Still I feel that after all this we can conclude that he will not grow up (at least not in my eyes) and that he has a short fuse, which if it's ignited will result in a quick but heavy bang at the end.

Sorry this kind of off topic, but that all bs seems just too childish. Both sides of that discussion did no favours to themselves. Knowing ISR makes money out of this, I just can't believe how stupid it is to make such comments on public.

Anyway,

On topic:

Come on guys, many of you have the CSP's. Could I get the hard mounting dimensions pretty please? Would be greatly appreciated 👍

As soon as i get in the house from getting my daughter off the school bus I will measure them up for you. Imperial or metric?

Im gonna have a hard enough time.reading metric. Siilly american that i be. Why you all gotta be so different! ;)

Could I make A request for nano metres...

LOL

It's not my fault that Fanatec seems to like to use .1mm's in their dimensions!

(Elite: 341,7mm x 271,4mm)

Just measure as accurately as you can, I can do the math myself! :D (1 inch = 25.4 millimeters)

27.7mm x 24.7mm if my measurements are correct. If you mean the screw hole placement. ;)

Only tape measure i found is wifes sewing one ;(

Front to back, 9 7/8 inch
Side to side, 10 7/8 inch

That is on center of the bolts. I did oval the holes ( front to back) in the csp feet a little bit for mounting purposes.

Knowing what you need these for, you can slightly oversize the holes in your rig to allow for a small margin of error.

"As The Sim World Turns"

I 2nd this thread name

Unfortunately I haven't seen any CSR E reviews that would count for me as a consumer roadmap for buying a wheel.
All the reviews are one sided (similar to ISR) as everyone is trying to "deserve" they were worth sending a beta testing wheel.

The cool thing about this testing is that Thomas specifically said to the test applicants, in his post at 911wheel, to give the wheel a fair review and speak your mind. This spoke to me and I really hope everyone has done that.

Caz
Logi you left crispy out. He is also doing a great job on his ongoing writeup ;)

Crispy, your constant updates have been very much appreciated.

This is also the reason I always look for user opinions and reviews before purchasing anything.

I agree the firmware issues were clearly outlined in the user reviews and easily found. When I read all the posts of anger and shock with the incomplete firmware, I was at a loss for words.

BTW, any updates on that Q&A?

Nope...

he sees these so he does know were all still interested :)

But is Thomas still interested?

I'm think this is sort of on topic as this thread is all things fanatec...

Does anyone remember Darin here:

You don't have a dog in that fight as far as I know, why are you even bring up this crap?

Funny how he after all that's happened with Thomas, still has to use Thomas in his defense. lmao

Man, Darin seems seriously hurt, well, whos fault is it?

I liked the "take your mask off" stuff... he uses his name to earn money and promote stuff, people here do not use their real names as they are here for fun and enjoying their hobby.

ISR was good but as most of the famous crowd they got a bit corrupted with this fame, well this is human nature and this is how it works.

I won't stop watching ISR but I sure will doubt their credibility.

I can not believe what you guys are saying here, do any of you even have a clue what happened in the story regarding Darin when he talks about taking off the mask?

Do you know it's one thing to talk smack about a company then it is to talk smack about a person?

Some of you guys should be embarrassed about talking this way to Darin, sure there was a conflict of interest when he went to work for Fanatec and Thomas was upset when he quit.

Darin and the staff at ISR are about the most honest and unbiased in sim racing you will find.

How do you explain the fact that before he started working for Fanatec Darin had nothing but good to say about the CSR Elite and would wax lyrical about all things Fanatec and now after the split all fanatec wheels have a damping problem and the CSR Elite has many problems? He was either lying back then or he's lying now. Whichever it is, it doesn't strike me as the opinions of an honest man.

And yet again, if you don't like what people are posting report it to a mod.

Darin and Shaun always spoke the truth about all products they reviewed. On the Elite pedals Shaun mentioned he was not sure about how durable they were.

Darin always said Fanatec standard pedals were just ok for entry level pedals. I have read or viewed him state his opinion that I felt were unbiased at all times.

And such a poles apart opinion on the CSR Elite before and after?

LOL....

Can I ask why I should be ashamed...? the answer should be PM'd.

Well seeing you felt it's ok to bring up a totally off topic event that frankly was none of your business into a public forum I will address it here.

1) why did you feel a need to link an event from the past into this forum, was it to embarrass Darin?

2) Darin is a straight shooter IMO, I don't always agree with him but he is sincere. Did the fact that he quit Fanatec make you link that article here?

I think there would be a lot less bickering on this forum if we did not try to bring up past negativity. Any time I post anything about Fanatec that some people don't like I get jumped on and people accuse me of playing some kind of trump card. Is this Darin's fate now, because he quit working for Fanatec now all of the Fanatec Folks are going to say Darin can't be trusted any more, give me a break.

For the record, i said he couldnt be trusted when he was employed by fanatec. ;)
Left: be glad the target is off your back lol

You obviously have disdain for the folks at ISR and I don't need to try and change your mind, please feel free to keep up with your negative remarks, no one one will report you.

Darin is getting grief for his attitude since leaving Fanatec, not because he left. Like I said blowing smoke up Fanatecs ass was his favourite pass time before he joined them. Now that he has left we get the snide remarks and quite frankly childish behaviour.

Caz, I always try to say what is on my mind, everyone should be able to do the same. Thanks buddy. 👍

You however are a regular ISR forum user so you are biassed... I too am technically biased due to my website..

However the only reason why I don't trust him no more is the fact his opinion has changed massively over a few months!

left888,
I don't feel ashamed at all. First I saw the CSR E on ISR show and I was impressed. Darin was all over Fanatec and mentioning Thomas and Fanatec in almost every show. This sounds fare as the Fanatec wheels seem to deserver a good word. But after he joined Fanatec the show was mostly about nothing or Fanatec...

...and now we still have nothing and Fanatec but they are being sarcastic etc. about Fanatec which looks childish and I'm not ashamed of saying this.

What they do IS a job and no matter what your job is you need to be professional at it so I don't want good reviews because they are friends with someone, actually there is no such thing as a friendship in business.

Mind if I ask about the wheel?

Does it have physical stops at the end of its rotational travel. i.e. as a 900 degree wheel, it should turn in 1 direction 450 degrees... then what happens?

You talk so much bollocks it's unbelievable. I have mentioned one member of the ISR team and suddenly I have disdain for them all? I take exception to Darins attitude since leaving Fanatec. And are you going to bother to address my point about Darins 180 degree spin in regard to the CSR Elite or will you continue to ignore it as it doesn't suite your argument? You largely talk a lot of crap on these forums and rarely back up your assertions, making grand statements and ignoring points made to refute them.

If you hit that 450 mark it will turn no further..

So lets wait and see what they say about the final products, there was at least one reviewer that had some issues with the Elite wheel.
