It's a real sham they are region specific, particularly because it's more than likely that most sim racers have more online friends (with the same hobby) than physical local friends with the same hobby. For example not 1 of my friends AFK is interested in sim racing, but already I'm talking to and making friends with people from Opposite ends of the earth. They should just let all invites be universal as this hobby is such a multi national, diverse, global community.

I commend your generosity though, I'd have totally snapped this up and been so grateful for the chance to order my kit and finish my build. The anticipation of completing this after so many years of desiring my own home arcade and sim rig is unreal. I can see the finish line, it's so close.

While I love sim racing, trust me, as soon as this is complete I'm absolutely loading up sega rally championship emu and blasting the pants of the celica as I drink a slushy and relive some awesome younger days in the arcade :D

I have told the wife the rug is just a place holder for now, let's see if she stays with me when I replace it for a CSL and full fanatec rig :D

I added the other 2 monitors for her and the kids though, so she can watch her shows, kids can play minecraft and I can sim race all at the same time :D it should work and hopefully I not end up skint and single ... Either way it's a win win I suppose :D

The invites are region specific because of inventory control. Different shipments of wheels go to Europe and to the US and the invites are sent out to place the actual units in those shipments.

I received a US invite overnight on Friday/Saturday and ordered a unit on Saturday.

Hey, thats a great question Lemans, bump

i want this one!!!! :bowdown::bowdown: :D

I think that's from before the release of the csr elite wheel, or maybe just after. It was said then though that it wouldn't be made available for purchase.

I feel your pain. Try Africa mate... I can't even select my region on their website :)

I hear ya man, I hope it gets sorted out soon.
Me too 👍

It is quite frustrating to see all this awesome hardware and not being able to order it with reasonable shipping rates. Our currency is very weak too, so for instance to order a V2 base and decent wheel-rim plus shipping would set me back about ZAR 13 000 and the chances of our post office "losing" the package is about 100% at present.

That being said... I have the means to live anywhere else in the world, but I really love my country (South Africa) with all our problems and would never live anywhere else by choice :)

If I was in the EU I would offer him my gum wrapper. For some reason the other guy here never took me up on it.

His deal makes no sense? 255 euro for an invite, then you must send the next invite (that fanatic send you) back to him for free.

But orders placed now arnt being delivered until late October early November ... and in December it's open to the public at 599 euro?

His code is equal to buying a v2 for 755 euro for the base only?

He clearly hasn't though this through lol :)

Even fanatec say they are happy to transfer them to friends but not keen on users selling them, I wouldn't buy one, if rather wait and save 150 euro over his "deal" :D

£10 or a beer yea, £200... No way!

I wondered how long it would take until someone did this

I'm definitely not judging, but I definitely don't agree with it. 👎

This guy doesn't get the essence of an auction. He should have started it at 1£, that would have attracted some bidders and they would have decided how much it was worth to them. As it is he won't sell the code and it will probably expire on him. In most cases competition in auctions will drive the price higher than setting a high starting price.

Anybody have solutions for Raceroom Racing Experience? The farther I turn the wheel, the force required goes up exponentially, making racing impossible. Anybody have settings I could use? This is the CSW.

Crispy,
we are currently investigating a bug which shows a static spring. Can you please turn don "SPR" to 0 and see if that makes any difference?

Same problem on csr elite too, happened after the update. I tried changing setting in game and on the wheel and couldn't get it to feel like it did before, I got frustrated and haven't played it since

Fanatec website is experiencing some kind of bug, it comes up with a weird pop up syntax error when I press the Pre-Order button, and if I add to cart then progress to checkout, there are no areas in which I can fill in my details, as per the other orders I have done on the website, which I assume is because it is listed as Out of Stock. I've sent them a message so hopefully tomorrow they will clear it up for me.

EDIT: It's been fixed, I've placed my order :D
