Got everything set-up now that its all arrived, Rennsport V2, CSP's, GT2 and standard shifters. Everything is excellent and am so far enjoying it hugely. Also got a shifter plate adapter for the Fanatec shifters and I am glad I did too, very very solid place to put the shifters. Will post some pics tomorrow.

Enjoy it mild! You will be very happy with it.

Try running settings like this
Sense : 800-840 for street cars
Spring. Neg 2
Damp. Neg2
Ffb is pref. I run around 80
Dead: o unless high down force wobble, then up to maybe ten
Linear. 0
Drift is preference, i like it off although the wheel feels heavier to turn. Drift uses the motors to assist in countersteering iirc. Higher # higher assistance.
Abs on wheel, i have found 40-60 is pretty good to get the point near lockup. Brake balance and obviously car to car this will change, but thats a.good starting point.

I think thats it.

For the csp I moved my brake arm up for stiffer shorter throw and run the potentiometer at about 50 percent.

Looks like I was right about the CSR Elite wheel rim being alot closer to you ( post #2900 )
Looks like approx 40-50mm judging by these http://www.911wheel.de/?q=node/7272#attachments
If anyone who has a beta wheel could measure the distance between the base(face side with bolts) and the rim(buttons side) that would be great.
I'm sure Thomas won't mind as every other measurement is shown on the template.

I don't think it's gonna be back that far. I don't have the wheel to compare it but if you look at the locations of the mounting holes for the bracket they are 70mm and 100mm from the edge of the angled bracket. Doing some rough measurements on my CSR those holes are roughly 89mm and 110mm away from the front edge of the CSR's base. That would mean the the face plate of the CSR E would sit further towards the front of your rig compared to the CSR when using the same mounting holes. I think it might still sit closer to you than the CSR would but certainly not 40-50mm. I'm sure Fanatec engineers kept these concerns in mind when they made the bracket to fit existing Porsche wheel mounting points. I''m confident they located the holes where they did in the bracket to keep the wheel rim positioning in a location relatively close to where it was when the customer used other Fanatec wheels. I mean just look at the undershot of the bracket.....they wouldn't locat them that far to the front if there wasn't a reason to.

The CSR E with the mounting bracket also has about 5 degrees less rake compared to the Porsche/CSR wheels as well.

Really looking forward to getting mine. Thomas posted on the blog today that he's going to give us an update later this week on the status of the orders.

The holes in the adapter are not holes only. They are M6 threaded holes!

True......but one could still easily use some M6 nuts with bolts to secure the wheel if they chose to drill new holes in the base adapter. Me personally I'd just as soon drill new holes in my rig's mounting plate.

Ordered the Clubsport Wheel Clamp, and CSR Shifters to come along with the CSRE. Should get mine soon!

Ups show up to your door finally? :)

Having your wheel properly mounted is a huge importance. The difference between an improper wheel mount and a proper wheel mount is like going from a controll pad to a wheel.

A handful of guys have some issues and you consider that widespread?

Frankly yes. A handful wouldn't have turned this thread into a community trouble shooting session in addition to the numerous other threads about the same thing. Regardless that really wasn't the main part of my question

Haha, nope not yet. Soon though, very soon!

Yup, I can't wait for the added adjustability to an already adjustable rig!

Its a CSRE wheel not CSW my typo sorry but no mistake about the pedals though! :-)

That wheel looks a lot like the CSRE, but it has the shiny plastic at the top, i thought it was going to be rubberized? I'm sorry, but those pedals look like his toy truck is missing some shocks, how can that be from Fanatec? Thats got to be all this guys own work. Good as it is, doesnt look like it came from Fanatec (well, except for the base clubsport pedals which this guy has modified)

It's a CSR Elite, but it's an early prototype.

That Clubsport pedal is the one that Shige Tekiei from Frex's mod there is a video of him doing it on a GoPro helmet cam,
but if that package is coming from Fanatec then Mr Tekiei must've consult with fanatec and making a production line,

the clutch suppose to make it feel like real clutch ( 2 stage spring with first spring harder and second latch softer after depressed )

oh man I want to have cSRE or CSW i dont' care which one. alas in AU there is no one here carry them.

Its a prototype wheel they subsequently changed the rim to the rubberised one

Awesome! 👍 Looking forward to seeing those pics

CSR E Pre-orders have been ceased and the CSW looks to be delayed due to overwhelming CSR E demand.
From Thomas' blog today:

"We a are being overun by CSR Elite orders so unfortunatley we have to cut off taking pre-orders for the CSR E.

Our production is running full speed but demand is exceeding supply. We will start flying in the wheels next week and will ship all open orders before Christmas as promised.

As soon as we can see when we can bring in more wheels, we will take the pre-orders again.

This situation is also affecting the ClubSport wheel as the metal parts are the bottleneck. If we would offer the ClubSport wheel now, the situation would just get "worse" so we decided to expand our production first in order to make sure we can deliver the high demand for these wheels."

Boooooo ;(

Lol.

More time to save for csw. Wonder what this means for shifter/ handbrake. Looks like i might end up with thr8 and the interface.

Honestly tho, glad ti see them approach this the right way.

I would think if you pre ordered you'll get it, but who knows.

All current pre-orders can be fullfiled so if you ordered just two days ago you were lucky.

Wow demand for the CSR-E is already insane before we even get the chance to post up our impressions.

At least when we post up our thoughts that will help people still on the fence decide. Plus it can help fill in the blanks, etc

Any word on the clubsport shifter? It's been awhile since I heard anything about it. I'm starting to wonder if it's ever even going to happen.

It's going to happen. Thomas brought some samples back from China when he was there to oversee the CSR E production startup. We're not gonna see anything soon though as Thomas has a lot on his plate with getting the CSR E and soon the CSW up and running production wise. If the CSS is anything like what the new wheels are like quality wise it will be well worth the wait.

Since the CSW is being delayed, I'm glad I got a GT3 RS v2 with my CSP's. I was going to skip the GT3 and wait for the CSW, but it seemed risky since the CSW's launch isn't set in stone.

What makes you say the CSW is being delayed? The only thing I ever heard Thomas say was "December" have you heard different? I've got the CSR but I'll be getting the CSW for sure as soon as the preorder starts. I'm enjoying the CSR now, but will enjoy the CSW even more as soon as it is in my hands. Hopefully December, but I'm guessing more like January.

Aren't the CSW and CSR-E built on the same base? As long aas they are, I think we'll see the release of the CSW as soon as they are caught up on CSR-E preorders.
