Can you hard mount the CSW without any adapter pr clamp... The wording of the link has confused me :s

CSW I don't know CSR-Elite, yes it comes with it's own hardmounting bracket as well as pre drilled and tapped holes in the wheel itself.

The mounting system for the CSW will be equal to that of the CSR Elite. So 3 holes in a triangular pattern in the wheelbase itself, as well as the angled mounting plate (the bracket as Thomas calls it) which lets you use the same holes as for previous Fanatec wheels. There is no clamping system so you can clamp it onto a table/desk though, for that you will need to purchase the additional ClubSport Tableclamp V2.

So you can just use the drilling templates here: http://www.911wheel.de/?q=node/7272

Doubtful. Thomas last update stated that the first customer wheels should hit the Endor warehouses in the US and EUR early this week and then immediately get distributed to customers. Hopefully they hit by Wednesday otherwise it's going to be VERY tight that us Canadian folk get ours before Xmas

What is up with the extra shipping charges tacked on to preorders? he mentioned that would go way as soon as they're "in stock". not quite sure what that meant. if you order something, and they ship it to you doesn't that mean it was in stock?

That was to make sure all open preorders make it out in time for christmas. The extra cost iirc was to have it shipped direct from germany as opposed to having it shipped over on a container ship and distributed from the " local" distributors.
I believe after the first preorders are filled, that additional charge will be dropped.

received email today from fanatec...woohoo says my order will be shipping today and once it ships i will receive tracking confirmation. now the only thing im confused on is where the product will be shipping from, i live in California, is it shipping from the Cerritos warehouse? If so does that mean i can get the wheel as early as tomorrow? Cause i live like 30mins from Cerritos lol

Yes. It takes only a day once it hits ups truck. (But if they sent the email that doesn't necessarily mean it is in the truck)

I'm curious what your order number is because I ordered day one and haven't received any confirmation yet.

yea i understand its not on the truck yet :( email says shipping today though... so we will see if i get a tracking number in the next few hours

i think i was actually one of the last people to order as i ordered on Thanksgiving Day. I ordered the Wheel and Porsche shifter set. Order #26254

The Forza Motorsport CSR Elite wheel is ready for pre-order from now on. We will fly in products from China by UPS airfreight so that we can ship it in time for Christmas.

I hope that answers your question. ;)

well maybe i got the email response cause i sent them a question regarding if my pre-order went through since i was one of the last people to order and i wanted to make sure i will still be getting it by X-mas.

either way the email that really matters is tracking confirmation lol

Well it is airfreight not ups next day air. This means a bunch of wheels hit the distributor and it goes from there on ups ground. (This is how the PWTS came, (I ordered that 1 year out))

i agree i would think this would be there process of handling things as well.

To be honest I have never received any tracking confirmation from fanatec. Shipping confirmations yes but never tracking. It's annoying.

Order#25562 I too am awaiting my tracking #. I hope once it hits California then maybe its shipped 2 day or three day UPS atleast because UPS to TN from Cali takes five business days.... 13 days left before xmas

You get a tracking number once it leaves the warehouse. I got mine when the truck left the warehouse for my GT3 RS, and I got another when the plane left the airport to deliver my Elite.

So much for shipping first come first serve (25579):grumpy:

Word.

I'm well ahead order number wise to anybody so far that's posted and I haven't heard squat. Logged into my account on Fanatec my order still says "paid" and I ordered nothing but the wheel.

This Xmas deadline is getting too close for comfort for me. I ordered the Rennsport stand during the Black Friday deal. It shipped on December 1st and I just got it yesterday. I figure if my wheel isn't shipped by Wednesday at the latest there's no way in hell it'll make it in time to beat the promised "before Xmas"

After reading arguements between thomas and darin on iracing forum I realize that my gut feeling were right I wont be getting any mor fanatec product, not csre nor csw.
Without Darin from isr i wouldnt even touch fanatec product based on personal clubsport pedal experience and funky gt3 rs that loss ffb when pull too much in ffb setting over 80. Not even g27 does that under 100%

really dissapointed with thomas, not going to repeat or explained what happenned in iracing forum. Good luck to you all buying fanatec product . Im sellng mine and changing to t500

Well, I hope you enjoy your (inferior) T500RS. :)

Me....I'm not going to let something as simple as a little argument between Darin and Thomas and a few unhappy customers make me stop buying Fanatec products. I'm enjoying my CSR and CSR-Elite pedals very much. As soon as I get the CSW and Derek Speare's Pedals, I'll be building my second cockpit and will enjoy the best sub-$1000 wheel on the market the Fanatec Clubsport Wheel.

I'm not privy to whatever transpired on the iRacing forum between Thomas and Darin but having just watched the latest episode of ISR, Darin left little doubt that things didn't end well between the two when he left Fanatec.

In all honesty I kinda feel disappointed in Shaun and Darin. Whoever's fault it is for the breakup is really nobody's business ....I don't think it was appropriate for Shaun to ask how things are between Thomas and Darin and Darin actually answering not so well more or less. A little too soap opera IMO.......he was doing fine explaining why he left up to that point.

Does it change my outlook on Thomas or Fanatec? No.......personalities clash all the time in business....that's the way it goes and frankly I don't care.......two sides to every story and leave it at that. For me my dealings with Fanatec products has been exceptional so far and so has my dealings with Thomas when I've dealt directly with him.

You won't be disappointed, the T500 is the racers choice right now. More iRacing enthusiasts choose it because it is solid and rarely has any trouble. I think a few people are going to be surprised at how problematic the new Fanatic wheels are going to be.

Left......you really need get off this mission of yours.....it's gotten really old, really fast and at this point it's simply become tiring and annoying.

I'm all for critiquing a product or company when there's an issue but Jesus Christ man you're ridiculous......you've basically become the Fanatec stalker on this forum. Every time there's anything even close to not being positive point in regards to Fanatec you're posting your two cents and here you are again making assumptions about a new product's quality before its even had any time in customer hands yet and you're basing that on what........ the ZERO hours you yourself have logged driving a CSR E? That's really funny to imply these wheels are going to be problematic after you posted this yesterday:

I will be watching for your view of the Elite wheel, I am very interested in purchasing one.

You had a bad experience with your Fanatec gear......we get it. Move on.

More iRacers choose the T500RS because right now it's the only thing above the G27 that is any good without spending a significant amount more money. Once the CSR-E and CSW are available for order you will see many more Fanatec owners to go along with the T500 owners.
