No clue. I only know for sure Mayaman has one. You would have to ask Sonac, he is the communications officer. Eh... Supervisor.
 
I'm sure the CSW will be awesome. Only thing I'm really curious about is the RC shock on the CSP V2. I am a Perfect Pedal whore, I have no qualms in telling you this. I'm going to be comparing the new V2s to the perfect pedal. I'll let you know how it stacks up as a whole. I'll be honest and through.

I'm trying to aquire a T500 for comparison but after spending for the CSW I'm broke. Does anyone want to let me borrow their T500 and I'll send it back when I'm done with the round robin test?

I currently have a CSR-E/Turbo S/ and if someone lets be borrow it the T500.

I don't think so. He was a CSRE tester (he has CSPv2s though). Right now its just Logi who has a wheel. I do not know if Mayaman has his wheel (unlikely). I was the CTM for the US Playstation Boards... but I am obviously a member here so I will be posting my review here after it is up on the US PS Boards. I have not received my wheel yet.

Buy it from Amazon, use it, tell them you didn't like it, return it in <30 days from the time your received it and get a full refund.

Mayaman, do you live in the US or Europe? If you live in the US and near NY there is a place in Mount Kisco NY that has a bunch of simulators with T500RSs hooked up.

Yeah I don't feel right doing that. I have amazon prime and love using it. Wouldn't want to sully the experience. If anyone wants to let me borrow their wheel for the comparison let me know. I'll pay all shipping.

This will be interesting. Especially if you start trying different shock oils. The perfect pedal looks pretty stiff, so you might need a thick oil. You can also try different springs that you can also get in RC shops for it. I have to pay about 7 euros for 50ml of oil at my local shop and the same for a set of springs I think.

I am curious as to how it will stack up against a better wheel like the Frex/Ecci/Bodner reather than a lower value wheel like the G27. Do you have any experience with any of these wheels to be able to do a proper comparison? That will get me excited about a review more than telling me how much better it is over a cheaper wheel.

At iRacing forums a respected member felt the CSR-E was better. There was a public link somewhere too. But thats the only comparison I recall seeing. It was just 1 man's opinion. but it was compared :dopey:

Best wheel I tried was the T500 with both rims. Plus of course I know how my Lancia Delta drives in real life. So those are the only comparisons I could make, with the latter being the real goal for any sim game and wheel... Replicating reality. Plus I am a beta tester so my review will be slightly less valuable anyway I would imagine. ;)

I always felt like I never gave the T500rs a fair shake against the CSR-E because I never purchased the f1 integral wheel rim. So I would love to read your thoughts when you can publically compare the CSW to the T500rs since you have both rims

Why not set your sights higher, would really like to set it against a Ecci/Frex... Know anyone here or at iRacing that would lone you a boutique wheel for the purpose of science??!

If you mean the comparison between the CSR-E and the Frex Simwheel (the older non Type-G version), the user has recently retracted his preference or recommendation for the CSR-E. Besides if you read his entire comparison between (prior to the retraction), he still considers the Frex to have not only smoother FFB but also one that's much stronger. BTW, his retraction was due to CSR-E having "severe belt slip issue when the FFB changes direction."

Of course he will review it like many others, but he has to just buy it first.

Actually I would not be surprised if fanatec has already sent wheels to respected persons outside the community review thing.

Well my CSR-E (and it's POS stock rim) is finally gone! My CST pedals are gone too. So now I'm left with a full setup minus wheels and pedals, so no racing for me for a while. Diablo 3 is taking up my free time right now anyways.

Just waiting on the CSW and CSPV2's to be available now. Can't wait!
 
You sold your cst pedals for the csp v2? May I ask what makes you believe they will be better pedals? Just curious what made you decide to sell them for the v2's. I thought the cst"s where the pedals everyone dreams to get.
 
I didn't sell the CST's because I think the CSPV2's are better, I just couldn't justify the price any more. I didn't get any faster than when I had CSP's and while they did feel more realistic, it wasn't worth the $1000 premium. So I sold the CST's for exactly what I bought them for and they will be replaced by the CSPV2's because I think they will be excellent value for the money. Leftover money will pay for my CSW with GT and Formula wheel, and the funds from the CSR-E are going towards a standalone 5-monitor stand.

Also I tore down my home-built rig and got a Bob Earl VRC MKII cockpit in order to save space. The CST's wouldn't have fit on this rig without some ghetto-rigging.
 
Well I sure can agree that the price is awful high for a set of pedals. I think your the first person I heard actually say they arent worth the extra money. Most reviews I have read talk about how much faster they have made them. Very interesting info here thanks much.

I am in the same boat. well, minus the CST pedals, I actually liked my Elite pedal set so I kept it. No racing for a while makes me sad panda, but at least I can focus my efforts on finding a house with a spare room for building a home theatre/gaming room. oh yeah, and being a parent-yeah oops i meant being a parent, and THEN building home theatre!
 
Most people who say CST's made them faster are people who went from standard pot based pedals to load cells in the CST's. When I first got my CSP's they made me faster, and when I got the CST's I was already pretty much at my talent limit.

I'm not a competitive sim racer, I do it on occasion between work/family/school time. Only reason I even tried the CST's is because I knew I'd be able to sell them for the same price I bought them for. CSPV2's should be perfect for me.

The CST pedals look interesting, but there is no way I could mount them to my rSeat. So the size could be an issue for some rig owners of different brands as well. Dunno how well the pedal stand holds either under braking.
But depending on the performance of both pedals I think that if it is really close some would definitely opt for the smaller CSP v2 pedals because most rigs are already predrilled for them and they cost half as much.

For the F1 pedals you have to e-mail Todd directly at tcannon2@cox.net for a price list. Not sure why he never added them to the website. Also, with Todd, don't expect an instant e-mail response and if you don't hear back from him within a week I would e-mail him again. He's a very busy guy and isn't the best at answering e-mails.

The next best thing in pedal tech would be to go with variable pedal pressure, so you can reproduce real abs feedback. Not some bicycle shock system or whatever. ;)
