Hey guys.

I don't know if this is the right place for it but since this thread gets quite a few views, I'm going to try it here.

If you purchase a fanatec wheel second hand and it's still in the warranty period, can you get it fixed or does the original purchaser have to submit the claim.

I'm assuming you need the invoice number as well ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I contacted Armen from Fanatec about this before. He told me to get a copy of the invoice from the original owner so that they can transfer the remaining warranty period under the new owner.

I ordered a set of CSPv2 from my holiday adress, last week. They were delivered today.👍

Can't try them untill next week though. I'm pretty anxious to see how they look and feel.

did you receive a shipping notification with tracking number? and are you from the us?

they said the wheel's where supposed to ship friday. still no confirmation from fanatec that they did so... this is starting to get so frustrating.

I noticed on PS3 with GT5, the effects of the FFB and Sho seemed "deadened" or less effective. A total turn off to a racer such as myself. After that, I stuck solely to iRacing

You mean alcantara vs leather or GT5 patch? Hard leather gives harder effects than alcantra and GT5 FFB was harder before 2.04 patch.

Anyone have newer beta firmware that also works on ps3/xbox360 for the PWTS or GT2? I like the new features and don't want to have to flash back to the previous firmware to play GT5 :/

Fanatec still has not fixed the buggy beta firmware for GT2/ turbo S. We had to flash it back. It won't even go to PS3 mode.
 
No one to my understand has received one yet. some in Europe are expected to receive them tomorrow though. I am still waiting for my tracking number! AHHHHH
 
People from the US should start to see their stuff this week. I should have my stuff by noon as I did get a tracking number on Friday late afternoon. Fanatec USA's offices are less than 60 miles from my office and their fulfillment center is only 35 miles away. :)

He is from the NL. ;)

This entire launch has been one big mess. I am sure Fanatec is just as frustrated as the customers at this point.

Sorry for the delay in updating, I was a bit busy this weekend :).

I finally got an email response on Friday after a week of nothing. It said that my wheel would be shipping soon. I got a tracking number Saturday morning, and it's showing "Out For Delivery" today! Can't wait to try it out!

The FW(firmware) version, think of it like the operating system for the wheel they are always tweaking it and when a new wheel comes out they usually release a new version.

oh da! LOL Yeah, no problem there. I'll check that as soon as I hook it up to the rig tonight.

UPS should be here in about 35 minutes. Our UPS guy is like clockwork every day! :sly:

Would it be wrong if I gave him a hug today? LOL :yuck:

Wow! I have been told it arrived an hour ago.

UPS came an hour early!

You can usually set your watch to the guy.

I'll have to wait until I get back to see the goodies.

I opened up the four packages here in the office. Everything looks to be in good shape.

Be careful and don't make a mistake I made when first un-boxing my pre-release sample (as an ISR forum community tester.) I put the BMW rim on the base using the quick release, but hadn't affixed the base to anything (no table clamp and not yet screwed to my rig.) So anyway, the BMW QR was pretty tight and darn rim was about impossible to remove with nothing holding the base down (QR mechanism has since loosened, and this was also to be improved on production models so I'm told.) Anyway I had to practically stand on the base (while trying to keep it pristine) just to get the rim off. Works much better when the wheel base is properly secured, lol!
 
For those CSP V.1 Tuning Kit owners thinking about swapping some of the parts out to the CSP V.2 to stiffen things up a tad, clutch spring is about 20mm shorter on V.2s then the V.1. Accelerator spring seems to be exact same.

NOTE: Brake spring is not a part of this post as the V.2 now has completely different configuration that LogiForce kindly provided a video about substituting for an RC spring on the CSW Reviews thread.
