Update of PS5 bundles (with a new price increase):
  • Base GT DD PRO 8Nm is now at $799 (instead of $599)
  • Bundle GT DD PRO 5Nm is now at $949 (instead of $699)
  • Bundle GT DD PRO 8Nm is now at $1,129 (instead of $699)
  • ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 (without pedals) is now at $1.699 (instead of $1.299)
  • GT DD Extreme (without pedals) is now at $1.699 (instead of $1.299)
Chances now of a purchase are 0% (instead of 50%)

Picked up their QR2 Wall Mounts recently, took just over a week to get to the UK. No customs as it was only about £30

Quality is good, much better than the 3D printed ones you can find online.

I also have the Simube ones. Their quality is much nicer (metal rather than plastic) but the main downside is only a single mounting hole (vs the 4 on Fanatec's), which has to bear the weight of the entire wheel.

GT7 1.59 update seems to have changed something at least w FW 565 on DD+ - side encoders on the Porsche VGT are now jumpy or intermittent and hat switch rotation on that and another wheel also suffers

I see funky switch rotation mentioned in 466 notes maybe that will resolve

Currently I have a D shaped rim for road cars and older race cars that had a round wheel. And I have a Formula V2.5 rim for open wheelers, LMDh, GT3 etc. that use that sort of rim. But I'm thinking about getting the McLaren GT3 rim to use for GT cars (GT3, GT4 etc.). I'm thinking that the larger size might be better for those types of race cars.

Does anyone have both? If so what do you use each one of them for?

I'm probably not the best person to answer this, as I think one wheel is already enough, but I don't think it would make that much sense to have both the Formula wheel and the McLaren wheel, given they have very similar layouts.

I only have the GT DD Extreme wheel and the McLaren V2. Ironically I use the McLaren wheel for GT7 and the GT X wheel for PC sims, because of the ITM support there and generally more buttons.

Fanatec Offers Rebates to US and Canadian Customers Affected by Recent Tariff Increases

Just over a month after significant price increases hit Fanatec’s U.S. and Canadian customers due to soaring import tariffs, the company has announced a welcome reversal. With a recent reduction in those tariffs, Fanatec is now lowering prices and offering compensation to those who purchased equipment with inflated costs...

the 25% discount is only good for 6 months so a nice deal if you are planning to buy something big. Of course no news on impending products like some podium pedals

Fanatec Just Made Big Changes to its Warranty and Return Policies

Fanatec has announced a substantial overhaul of its customer warranty and product return policies. Effective June 3, 2025, the sim racing hardware manufacturer is extending its standard product warranty to a full three years and doubling its return window in a clear attempt to bolster consumer confidence...

So fanatec getting true American customer service, they always were a little arrogant tbh and difficult to communicate with so this is welcome news for the consumer

I just brought the GT DD Pro and within the package was missing items. No 180w power adapter and cord. The customer service sucks you can’t get a live person you have to get a ticket. I went to the forums and notice I wasn’t the only one with this problem it was many more. People are crying out for help with months that pass by. Now I feel like I’ve been scam. They take your money quickly but their response time is none. I will not by any other item from them.

LOL, kind of hard to have a 14 day return window when it takes longer than that to simply acknowledge a support ticket (in the US). I accept that these are moves in the right direction, but their whole support organization has been a **** show in the US.

My biggest issue with them right now is their firmware for the Formula V2.5 Steering wheel. I’ve been using the old firmware (version 455) since last fall because their updates have caused some functions on my steering wheel to randomly stop working mid race, like shifting gears with the paddles.

A lot of other people are having this issue. They say they can’t replicate it, but I think they’re full of ****. The vibrations in the grips feel very different with the new firmware. I’m starting to think my 8nm CSL DD just can’t handle doing all that stuff at once sometimes, and they don’t want to admit it.
