It’s actually very interesting to figure out how to think about these two sets of pedals, because I feel like I’m missing some clarity here.

Right now I have the SimNet SP2 Pro, and it’s basically a typical GT-style pedal set. You can run it as a 3-pedal setup or just 2 if you want. You pay for three, or less for two, but in the end it’s the same system — same pedals, same design, just configured differently.

With Fanatec, I would expect something similar for the GT-style set. You buy the full set of three pedals, but if you don’t need the clutch, you just install brake and throttle and that’s it. I assume you don’t have to run all three, but that still needs to be confirmed.

Then you have the Formula-style pedals, which are only brake and throttle, but the design is completely different. That’s where it gets interesting.

I’m genuinely not sure how these will work in practice. Will they be comfortable in a GT-style cockpit, or are they really designed around a proper Formula seating position? Because if it’s the latter, then that’s a completely different use case.

Right now that’s a big question mark for me, and I honestly don’t know the answer.
Holy smokes, full force on my GT DD Pro, for free? Sign me up!

Hello. It is only in GT7 on PS5 that we get this update? And do you know what the upgrade "name" is? On Fanatec app on PC?

So, is Full Force working on GT already?
Hopefully it make a nice difference to the games ffb.
I've always found it lacking if I'm being honest. I'm

Hi. Is it only on GT7 we will feel this upgrade? And do you know what the upgrade number is?

Yes, it's been working in GT7 for months now. Some people seem not to like it or think it doesn't make that big of a difference, but I certainly prefer the way it feels now vs. not having it.
I bought GT DD pro in Mars. Updated. Then I read this thing about update, connect to fanatec app, and it is a new upgrade with full force. Or are I wrong? About a week ago.

The full force addition to the DD pro has not been made yet. They said it’s coming later this year. Once it does, any game that supports full force will work with it. Not just GT7.

I thought full force was released with Spec 3 in GT7? I could be remembering wrong 🤷‍♂️

He asked about the DD Pro wheel base getting Full Force added. Which hasn’t happened yet so it’s irrelevant that it’s functioning in the game if you don’t have a Full Force wheel base.

Ah, yes. Their ecosystem is confusing at times  Thx for clarifying.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Fanatec ClubSport Formula V3 Wheel Gets 5% Off With GTPlanet Discount Code

Fanatec’s long-running Formula wheel just got its first real overhaul in years, and the new ClubSport Formula V3 went on sale a few days ago at $349.99. The V3 is eligible for discount with the GTPlanet discount code, so you can knock 5% off the price before you check out...

Reading through this thread should be mandatory before getting anything from Fanatec.

That's all Thomas Jackermeiers fault! 💩
Agree people should read up before getting started but its year 2 of Corsair so THEY own most of the issues now - TJ’s long gone

While we gotten some decent new products design wise, the HW quality control is all over the map and the SW/FW dev suffers as a result off parts variability. The app effort is wasted effort IMO but influencers demanded it

The forum and web site improved but is now negelected. CS still seems a miserable experience and the FAQs or other helpful docs are lacking user feedback on how to survive

Logistics is decent in the US but still suffers elsewhere

No further happy talk from Corsair after the CEO changed and I think their investment has leveled off - the expectations they set have yet to be met and Fanatec’s rep is suffering. Corsair needs to step up

Turned on my wheel Sunday and noticed it stayed in PC mode instead of compatibility mode. Took two or three pushes of the power button to get it to switch back. Normally it's a single push. Today the same thing happened but it took many more tries to get it to switch modes. When it did I still had no display on the V3. Opened the app and it was showing just a generic round rim instead of what was attached to the base. Turned the power off and restarted and it finally showed up correctly in the app.

I hope this isn't the start of an issue with the base.

Oof. Scathing review 🥲

I would say my personal experience with CS although mixed, there are certain individuals possibly from the Corsair side that will fix your issues one way or the other. So for me, I’d say CS is a gigantic improvement compared to before Corsair and I’d say I like it, overall.
Their logistics, at least in EU where I reside, are the best.

But when it comes to their firmware experience... Oh man. It’s so abysmal I don’t find the words to describe it. Maybe something you’d expect from a product coming directly from China, 20 years ago.

Yeah a bit - and I feel sad to put it out there as I’ve been a customer for 15 yrs on my 4th different base and I really do love my DD+ and the current situation is so frustrating to watch

OK CS is less worse, but the response time is still too long, and the fact that extra helpers are still needed to move things along after all this time says its still pretty broken

In the early days it was a bit more DIY so could tolerate some rough edges but people now are coming to expect a polished product and support

Yeah I think the combination of pandemic supply chain issues, and the ownership fight caused them to loose control of some of their subs and “equivalent” generic parts or sub assemblies were substituted which had some subtle differences

Its the only thing I can think of which explains why some units work fine w FW releases and others have all these weird problems

This was a KEY benefit that Corsair was claiming to contribute - better supplier managment

The fact you’re a customer for almost 2 decades makes it even worse. Damn, it’s sad.

Whatever they’re doing with their firmware development, it clearly doesn’t work. They keep releasing new “fixes” and every single time we have new issues.

It’s like trying to fix a drawing by carefully cleaning up some lines but every time you finish the “corrections", the drawing is worse. But you keep doing it anyway. It’s madness.

I hope they take some notice and do some serious changes soon.

Well my QR refuses to update but it's not really a problem, everything seems to be working.

I have no PC so have always updated using a 2012 Macbook Pro with Bootcamp + an unregistered copy of Windows 10. Probably not what Fanatec recommends... 😃

Firmware updates have been a **** show for ages now, the Fanatec forum always seemed to be full of people with various issues. I'm still using Fanalab and firmware 455. It works without issue so I've held off on any updates and also on having to use the Fanatec app.
Going to have a dilemma whether to update or not when they eventually release fullforce firmware for the DD Pro.

I'm one of the majority who have never had any issues with firmware updates and thankfully this continued when I moved on to the Fanatec App.

I think the Fanatec App is a nice improvement over the old system.

Care to summarise its 19 pages?
I was considering that and probably should have, but there's also "view summary" button available for the thread, showing what appears to be around 10 most "voted" posts. I think these are enough to read the room there.

The Hotfix release has been posted with a number of fixes listed in the changelog

EDIT: an issue w the PS buttons being messed up on the BME used in the Podium Hub/GT3/Endurance combo has been reported in the forum thread

Have not installed yet so can’t confirm on mine but this was a long standing issue last year - if its back again that’s pretty sad

I don't know how it's called but you get the same phenomenon with everything that you can buy: the more people have it the more reports/posts/information about problems are there. Be it cars, electronic devices or whatever. My experience so far was always positive with the fanatec firmware/software/hardware (gt dd pro + csl lc pedals + the first gt wheel + mclaren v2 + xbox universal hub v2)
When I did my research before buying my first wheel (thrustmaster t300) I had only heard horror stories about dying motors and bad customer support in official and third party forums. This "crappy" wheel still works after 7+ years of (ab)use (and still used occasionally for ps3 games)

Official forums will always lean more heavily towards issues because there’s an expectation of feedback being received.

It’s why this thread isn’t full of people reporting bugs.
