Btw, it might be of use to some of you. Ordered my F1 v3 wheel at the end of April. Shipment expected June 10-13, but there was no sign from Fanatec. I wrote to them and got an answer that there is a production issue and they will not send it to be earlier than September. So I just cancelled. I can always order it back when issues are fixed and I fo not need to wait 4 months for the shipment:-)

Did you not already receive the V3 wheel? Complained about some cheap plastic and noise then returned to Fanatec.

Glad fanatec is dishing out some free quality updates, come on PD, the gtddpro is needing this in the game, don’t let us wait too long! 😁

I have DD+ extreme, fullforce in GT7 is not feature making difference imo. it just vibrates like a toy on curbs. Sorry Fanatec, but I don't understand it, maybe mine is broken or something. Also I have formula v2.5 wheel, it has better feeling of fullforce than GT wheel. GT wheel feels empty when I enable FF. I usually completely disable or set to very low value.
I don't know how FF works on PC games, cuz never played one.
I also have DD pro, my suggestion is that noone needs DD+ if you have DD pro with 8nm power. Just cool it down, because I think thermal stability is better on DD+. if you are in hot environment definitely get DD+ and/or buy an air conditioner (in my case, I live in hot area and my DD pro behaves weird after driving couple of minutes. I had no issues on DD+ but I cool it down just incase)
So I think you don't need to try to enable it for DD pro, you can be disappointed...

Seems like there are still a lot of issues on DD+ with this release. I'll keep using the original torque boost firmware, which seems to be fine for the most part. Below is a summary of the official thread by AI:
For ClubSport DD+ owners, the new Fanatec App v1.5.1.2 update comes with several severe stability risks. Community members are reporting an ongoing PS5 bug in GT7 where the base randomly disconnects mid-race, locking the wheel and applying 100% throttle until hard reset. Furthermore, there is an official known issue where hot-swapping wheels in-game completely kills Force Feedback until a full game restart, alongside reports of steering wheels failing to be detected at all, which requires a manual re-flash of the Wireless Quick Release (WQR) firmware. It is highly recommended to stick with stable older firmware for now.

At least it’s there when ready to be unleashed. It’s definitely a good option as this was the feature I wanted but only the Clubsport had it. Now the lesser expensive base has it. But I personally still have my sights set on that Clubsport. Hoping to get one come Black Friday.

I've updated my GT DD Pro 8nm yesterday without any issues. There is some difference in the torque, I can feel the wheel being a bit heavier under load especially in higher class Gr cars. Full force of course still doesn't work in GT7, I don't really need it since I have 4 shakers on my rig and I already feel the curbs, bumps, traction loss and everything else much much more clearer than I ever could from some wheel feature, but hey, it's going to be a nice addition when it comes.

But I have another issue now - I'm feeling some new things through my hands, like there is some random frequency in my wheel from time to time, I guess it coresponds with the conditions on the road, couple of new muffled "knocks" while driving, but it's strange, doesn't make sense to me since I think I even felt it while stationary in garage. It's like something new is unlocked but not fully working as it should... I wonder if anyone else had this "issue", and if it's going to be resolved in the new GT7 update...

There is sometimes a "knocking" issue that is possibly related to Full Force on the DD+, it doesn't happen often and a restart fixes it. It's sort of a regular knock when driving but never experienced it in the garage. Maybe turn Fullforce to zero for now and see if it makes any difference.

(Full Force is quite good IMO, at 100% it's a bit much, but 60-70 adds some nice detail at a frequency that goes through my rig and pedals, not just the wheel)

No no, no knocking in the garage, just the strange frequency that I feel through my wheel, very very mild and barely noticable but it's there.

Maybe turn Fullforce to zero for now and see if it makes any difference.
Tried, it's the same, FF at 0 or 100, it doesn't make any difference, we'll see what will happen when GT7 releases its update, and also I believe Fanatec is due to patch this mess they created, their support forum is literally a dumpster fire currently with people bricking their bases and having abysmal issues in various games and scenarios...

It's impossible for you to feel more torque because the FullForce doesn't increase your Nm, therefore your torque.

Between 60 and 70% is the right value. That's the value I set on my DD+ and I don't need more.

Change log:

CSL DD/ GT DD Pro is now available with Full Force :

  • Added Full Force feature
  • Increased the Holding Torque from 6 Nm to 8 Nm when the Boost Kit is used. Peak and Linear FFS settings are not needed anymore and will not be available when CSL DD / GT DD Pro are used with Boost Kit.

It's your boost kit that increases your Nm, like before, but not your FullForce

I don't think you understood my post.

My boost kit increased my peak torque to 8nm, but my holding torque was always 6nm. So with this update also the holding torque was increased to full 8nm. It has nothing to do with full force, it's a separate feature.

The vibration might be one of two things.
It could be the true force effect.
Or your wheel might be slightly loose.
The full force still isn't implemented in GT7 so it shouldn't be that.
And the wheel was not loose before the update :D So it's not that also.

Just another Fanatec sw bug, that will probably be resolved in some future update.

I have a CSL DD+ and I've also felt a knocking or a clunk in my wheel. It's more pronounced when I have the V3 rim attached. You can feel that it's not related to track surface conditions. It feels kind of like a slight gear slip.

I'm on PC so it's not related to GT7.

Exactly!

Glad to know I'm not crazy :D
