I'm happy with the 15nm CS DD+ but those Podium Pedals look pretty nice.

Same. I could care less about a higher Nm and more expensive version of what I already own, but I'm ALL IN on those Podium pedals. I used the Clubsport V2's since 2012 and the V'3 since 2020, but the one thing I don't love about them is the spacing of the brake and throttle pedals. While it's workable, I never use the clutch, so it's wasted on me for what I like to play with. The TWO-Pedal configuration will suite my comfort needs beautifully from the looks of it. :D

Yeah I like my CSL Elite V2 Pedals but the braking could be better. I think my load cell is messed up though and they can't or won't let me replace it, even if I buy it.

Remove clutch and move brake further on the left...

At 11:22 in vid the guy basically announced Fanatec active pedals, which everyone could have guessed are coming anyways.

Very nice looking pedals. I do wonder how they feel. Especially the brake since it's all elastomer plus a spring. No hydraulics, no dampers for added feel. No haptics included either. 🤔

Later on in the Kireth vid above, the Fanatec rep talks about how the brake stack works - the individual sections are cups holding the elastomers and the adjustment of the gaps, which he calls gates, control how much the elastomer can be compressed in each section

As the stack is pressed and the gates close eventually the stack is now hard pressing the load cell, not just squeezing the elastomer further - so different gaps, and different elastomer stiffnesses, could make for some interesting pedal feeling variations

It seems that the implementation of FullForce in GT7 is not far off.

Could FullForce possibly be in the Spec III update? 🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞
I'm not realistically expecting it, if it were in there, I'm sure it would've been mentioned by now, one but can hope.
The main reason I chose a Clubsport DD+ Base over the 8mn GT DD Pro was for FullForce compatibility. For me the 15nm feedback force capability is mostly unused headroom, as I find the feedback set to around 50% in game (which I imagine equates to around 7.5nm max output) to be the sweet spot personally.

With PD struggling to make good use and correct their FFB settings, I am a bit worried about the inclusion of Fullforce in GT7. PD seems to not really get FFB (or not care)... which is why it s so lacking in this regard (and why no Fullforce since a whole year while DD+ being the official GT7 wheel).

I am readying myself for the disasters that FF will be when/if it's supported in GT7.

I think it's their philosophy that's a bit in the way when it comes to FFB. Fundamentally, there's nothing wrong with their FFB but the best way for me to describe it is, restrictive. They have to open it up a bit and make it user customizable. Two sliders are not cutting it, at all.

I agree M Stark. I d even say that "their philosophy" is in the way of many improvements that the game should've had a long time ago.

They would benefit from looking at what others are doing better and be inspired by them, instead of focusing on their so-called "philosophy".

The "philosophy" is really an argument that I almost never hear for any other game btw... Only when we talk about GT lacking stuff, people defend PD using the so-called "Kaz's philosophy" (not blaming you: I do agree that PD functions in a very singular way... which is not always a good thing and explains their inertia in so many areas) .

Just my two cents on GT7 and its FFB. First, I love playing GT7 for what it is. Looks beautiful and it’s simply fun. The FFB is not garbage, but it’s flawed. In some ways it’s very flawed depending on what car you’re driving. Forget about driving high-downforce high powered cars. While you can tune the DD+ base and the “IN-GAME” settings to make it drivable, it’s nowhere near as fun as driving street cars, GT4 and GT3 cars. Basically, the more powerful the car, the more the FFB flaws surface. #oscilationcentral LOL

For me, these flaws have become more apparent recently because I’ve recently dived back into the PC sim racing world after a 13-year hiatus. I’ve dived deep into LMU. It’s fun and I can’t wait to see how they eventually bring it to the PS5. This game has made me realize that FFB on GT7 is lacking detail specifically as it comes to “road feel”. In GT7, there’s simply no road surface texture road feel. It’s nonexistent for whatever reason. The game is still nonetheless fun to play, but I believe it can be so much more fun if PD stepped up their game when it comes to the FFB. If “TRUE-FORCE” is to be believed to add an extra level of detail, I can’t wait to feel it. But I sense wheel use is not PD’s main priority even though they have that FANATEC partnership. At the same time, we must remember PD is a JAPANESE company. Historically, JAPANESE companies are slow to react to market conditions. FULL FORCE has been painfully slow.

I’ve actually found the FFB to be quite good w the right wheel tune but maybe a bit more nuanced then some people might want

perception of “road feel” IRL is more noise than steering feel so I’d say more of an immersion thing - maybe an adjustment for road feel would be nice but its not currently added in as an effect. FullForce would be a better way to add it

Also in GT7 IF both front suspension elements compress exactly the same while going straight over a bump you won’t feel this in the wheel as it won’t move left or right - so some track feel would be filtered out

I think some of the issue w high downforce cars is more in the race TIRE grip being too high and not having enough compliance during changing conditions - load, temp, wear so the feel is a bit numb. The comfort and sport tires feel better to me

Also in the Fanatec FW update in 474 something changed which made suspension movement feel stronger and more abrupt, and brought the oscillation back which had been dialed down previously. Either stick w 468 and earlier or dial FOR (NOT FFB!) down to 80 or so to bring it back a bit
