Hi guys, any view on these settings?
Where I am not certain is in game torque and sensitivity. Also, I do not want to fight the wheel, just feel what the car is doing.

If you’re running a Clubsport DD+ (GT DD Extreme) base I would highly recommend turning FullForce on. You are missing lots of additional feedback and texture that adds much to the experience.

Overall I’m using settings based on setup @PirovacBoy posted back on page 63, with just the odd click either way on a couple of settings, for my personal preference. I found these to be a very good setup.

Hi,

I also really like @PirovacBoy settings, though there's a slight oscillation. I set the sensitivity to 0.

I’d be interested to know what else you’ve adjusted. Did you tweak anything for more powerful cars?

Thanks, and have a nice weekend.

I’ve only made a couple minor tweaks; in game wheel sensitivity is currently on 1, Fullforce in Fanatec settings is 80. No right or wrongs here, just personal fiddling, and I’m no expert.
I don’t usually make changes for different cars, only time in recent memory was when I reduced the torque for a 1hr race on the oval at Daytona, as this can be quite fatiguing.

Heads up, the DD+ is getting a firmware update next week, going from 15nm to 18nm.
And those who own the DD Pro will get a future update to add Fullforce.
The new pedals are €700, I think, for both versions (Formula and 3-pedal).

Where did you get that information? Do you have a source?

Do you have the links to the forum and YouTube? I didn't catch them. Thanks
I use the app so no link but the information is in news.

Here’s a snapshot of the statement.

It's surprising that the increased torque is holding torque. When I first read the numbers I thought they were just talking about peak torque.

More specifically, they just said plan is Monday for the FW to be released. But that's not going to have Fullforce for DD Pro, etc, just the the raise in Nm for the DD Pro and CS DD wheels. Personally I'd rather have stable working software and firmware than a few extra Nm of holding torque on my wheel, but it's a nice bonus. Their hardware is still good but their software and firmwares are an incomprehensible disaster of bugs and dysfunction. It's mind boggling how bad it is and how long it's been this bad. Hopefully they can eventually fix it but I wouldn't bet on it. They mostly work ok on consoles though so that's good for GT7. I just wish they could get their collective 💩 together on the software side.

I'm curious if increasing the TORQUE from 15 to 18nm will cause any issues with heat. As it is now, my DD+ does not even get warm to the touch and I run the base FFB strength at 100 with all games. I fine tune game FORCE, or GAIN within the game settings to get my desired overall game FFB strength. I'd imagine most will have to turn down the in game FORCE or GAIN to get to what they're used to. Which begs to ask, why increase the base NM if most people that I know don't max out the in game FORCE or GAIN? Maybe some body builder sim racers do?

Might be a dumb assumption/question on my end but I wonder if it's related to these bases getting FullForce in the coming months...?

You can give us some feedback. Do you see a big difference on GT7 or another game? And did you keep the same FFB settings? Thanks
I've been using Starfield since it came out and hadn't touched the steering wheel, so I don't know what to tell you. I know that before the patch I played with torque at 4 or 5 in the race cars, I lowered it to 3 for the high-load cars, and I had to lower the torque to 2 when testing the new Porsche and the Ferrari GT3. And I don't think I'd get any weaker in two months 😅
Aside from the force, I didn't notice much else in terms of feel. The Fullforce felt smoother, but maybe that's because I remembered it being sharper, so I can't say if anything has changed.

Let's see if more people install it in the next few days and can see if anything has changed.

I just treated myself to BMW GT2 v2.
Is there anywhere you can find the button mapping for PS5?
I suppose there are buttons you can change as you please, but some will be assigned to Options, Share, and PS, right?

Anyone else finds the loss of grip effect a bit too violent after updating to the 18Nm?
I have the 18nm update, and no I don't feel that but I have the settings tuned so it isn't so harsh. It seems like I can feel the individual treads on the tires gradually roll over the more steering lock I use on an under-steering car with SS or SH tires for example. It's pretty convincing and smooth, but it's also a compromise.

You can tune that to be way more harsh or less harsh. You can use more INT and NDP, less FEI and FOR. And of course less overall FFB. In-game you can set "Sensitivity" to higher or the same as "Max torque" in GT7 FFB settings.

Overall it feels good to me but I noticed more oscillation pretty much everywhere in GT7 especially with race tires on race cars, etc.. since the update. The last time I was playing I was using Max Torque-2 and Sensitivity-3 in game. Or both set to 3. But when I turn down max torque, I have to use more FFB on wheel. If you experiment a little with those settings you can change how that "loss of grip" affect feels a huge amount. But you also will give up sharpness of the FFB overall. It's a compromise especially in GT7 which feels like it has some damping and mush built into the FFB compared to a "real sim". I actually kind of like that, it feels more realistic to me.

You could just start with PirovacBoy's settings and tweak one or two things at a time and test. You can pause the game during a lap in single player and try 20 different setting combos in 10 minutes. You'll get it close to what you want pretty quickly and the settings will probably be pretty close to PirovacBoy's settings but maybe one or two things adjusted one way or the other for your personal preference. But yeah I don't like the violent, harsh loss of grip feeling either.

Did the update no problems and definitely feel the extra strength, but it has made my current settings feel off - there are some changes to the FFB so will have to retune

I did try the A_S and it feels quite decent w this update, where as before it felt a bit weak and flat

For best results, clear the network storage in GT7 options first, then close and reboot the PS and the wheel, as sometimes this can affect the A_S settings and wheel behavior a bit

Also did the update for the base and all my wheels with no issues.

Haven’t run A_S with true force yet but with using @PirovacBoy ”race setting” with no adjustments felt great in my practice session tonight.
Lots of laps on Nurb 24 so many turns and curbs to evaluate feel.

I’ve had slightly better pace with that setting over A_S and TF lately so will be fun getting some back to back comparisons when I have more time on my hands.

I updated my DD+ with no major issues to the latest firmware in APP version V1.4.2.3 that unlocked the 18Nm. No issues updating the base. One slight bug...My base settings were saved as I clicked "save current" settings during the update process, except for one setting. The NATURAL DAMPER setting on all my 5 tuning menu settings changed from the values I had set to 50 on all 5 tuning menu settings. Luckily I keep a spread sheet on all my tuning settings so reverting them back was no big deal. If you haven't double checked your Tuning Menu settings if you chose to "Save Settings", I suggest you check it.

Anyway, I tried LMU and GT7 with the settings I had been using. The extra 3Nm is nice, BUT i needed to go down one click on GT7's torque setting from 3 to 2 and in LMU I needed to set the FF strength from 37 to 35. Otherwise the extra 3Nm was too much. Not a big change, but I can see how the extra headroom will be a plus for anyone using heavier wheel rims such as the GT3 Endurance wheel. That wheel is heavy and because of that the wheel gets dampened a bit. The extra 3Nm helps wake up this wheel a bit.
