Fanatec GT2 CS edition order status

Unfortunately it looks like some people are misunderstanding the latest Thomas Blog Post. Those dates are dates that the shipments are supposed to arrive to the US Port. From there they need at least 2 weeks customs clearance and delivery to the warehouse. After this a few more days till product leaves the warehouse.

I presume people who have ordered the GT2 CS package myself included should have their product shipped in a couple weeks. If you have noticed they have GT2 Wheel and CS Pedals in stock, the shifters were to arrive December 31. So hopefully those shifters will be released from customs next week and will ship later next week or week after with the wheel and pedals.

It also appears that language may slightly get in the way of straight forward communication with North Americans.

A few things should be changed in my opinion:
1. Don't take full amount for a pre-order, take a deposit, especially if it won't ship till 45-60 days later.
2. More transparent detailed communication with customers.
3. Use consistent proper terminology throughout the transaction.


At any rate I hope it all gets resolved soon, of course things will die down once this rush is over until maybe Forza 4 comes out.

I am happy to see the latest Thomas Blog Post, at least it offers the customer more insight. We now just need updates as those things change.
 
Curious, I got an email with a PDF of my invoice (minis the stand that isn't in stock). Should there be a tracking number with that invoice....or is it sent in another email? The help is much appreciated ;)
 
Anyone know who to contact to refund part of purchase? I sent a email though customer support to refund the wheelstand (ordered a obutto:). I just want to make sure I sent the request to the right place?

The UPS tracking number will be in an email from UPS. In my experience, Fanatec seems to set up the billing information with UPS, but waits until the next business day in order to actually give the package to UPS. The UPS tracking will show "billing information received" for about a day.

Ground shipping to the east coast seems to take 4 days, so we should have these things by Friday next week.

Yeah, this is kind of interesting. Even though Thomas' latest announcement indicates that they are going to ship as pieces are available, those with separate orders are getting shipment...but we Clubsport Edition folk are still on hold. Oh well. We will wait patiently for this to sort itself out. I am just glad to have the "blocking" and not worry about my wheel or pedal set (ordered the first week of December) being sent off to some clown that just ordered today.

Thanks man, I appreciate the info! Ground from CA to NH via ups is 5 days, must be different in MA? If it goes out today, it'll show here in NH a week from today. If it goes out Monday, then a week from Monday for me. I'm happy with it going out period ;)

I believe Thomas means that if the GT2CS orders won't ship in their entirety in January he will ship each piece separately as they become available with no additional cost to the customer.
 
For the us guys: We've 8.45 pm. I think there will nothing go out anymore today.

I just have come back from Saturn. They had 2 t-t-t-t-thrustmaster on sale and one for demonstration. Funnily the demonstration wheel was mounted on a FANATEC Rennsport Cockpit. Cool combination. I'm not so bad with controller I think (was 5438 position on bonus time trial after few tries). It was my first time with a wheel and I soooo sucked. 20 people behind me watching. I took my package and run off the store. More funnily the guy testing the wheel before is also a GTP Member I now know. :D

there is a lot of miscommunication here but the one thing you can be sure of is that if you ordered the GT2CSE package it will be shipped by the end of January, but probably not until the 21st according to the latest blog post.

It looks like the CSP + GT2 seperate orders are being shipped as Thomas told us earlier this week.

Since I placed a CSE order, I am happy to hear this actually. People will get their GT2 wheels soon and tell me what they think. Hopefully we will see some T500 vs GT2 comparisons and I have a week or two to decide if I which I would prefer :)

In other news, in my experience the customer is not at all always right.
 
So what about the shifters and wheelstands, when will they be back in stock for US-CANADA? If i preorder now when might i expect delivery?

I asked you 2-3 times here but never get an answer. I hope you answer this time. I ordered the GT3 CE (from germany to germany) and Claudia told me only "end of january"... On your blogpost you say you got it on stock, can´t understand why it will took that long? Is there any chance to deliver it earlier?

Hey RC I know you haven't tried the CSP yet but how do the T500 pedals feel vs. the Logitech G2X series?

And have you tried the hanging mount yet?

Waiting for the wheel stand now and the gt2. My current solution is quite poor and not ergonomic ;)

yes, it does not look ergonomic! be careful with your back muscles!

Is the T500RS fan as loud as many people have been stating? Is the fan distracting you from the GT5 game?
 
just watching night news. Then give it the first try. Tomorrow some more hours. But my feedback will not be high qualitative. Because it's the first time I use a wheel.
Will get my rennsport wheelstand in some weeks to increase ergonomics. (already ordered :) )
I'm also considering buying a playseat or rennsport cockpit. But we've not so much space at the moment. So maybe I've to wait till we've moved into a bigger apartment this year, cause my girlfriend would kill me ;)
 
Thanks for the shipping correction Thomas. If I were to purchase a GT3rs v2 w/CSP, shifter not needed, in late Jan (last week or two), when would I expect delivery? I'm in southwest lower Michigan, north of South Bend, iN and east of Chicago, IL.

Does the GT3 have the same display and backlit buttons as the GT3? I have no need whatsoever for 360 support.

I think Endor has a place in Beverly Hills (must be nice)...not sure if that's where they ship out of though.

It must be. I'm about 35 miles from there and I rec'd my GT2 the day after I got the tracking #.

Hmm I think this doesn't work out. But maybe if I'll buy here a pair of shoes... hmm maybe some more shoes and a handbag :D :D

So first 6 rounds at the nurburgring with the crz from bonus race 1 with medium tires.
Wheel (first 6 rounds with wheel in my life): 2:51.704
DS3 (3 Rounds): 2:47.953

But the feeling is incredible. So amazing. I'm excited to compare it to the gt2. Especially when there is also FF in the pedals.

In real life I take the nbr (with Dunlop turn/ long) in 2:16 with my race modified cbr 600.
This year I'll give it a try with my 120d M Sportspackage. Luckily I got some sponsorships to ride/drive the nbr for free when my sponsor has trackdays.
And remember: Don't drink and drive LOL

I don't think that Force Feedback is an accurate description of what the Clubsport Pedals feature. But, I do not have any...yet...so I could be wrong. But, I am excited to see if this brake thing is for real. I have read that they are awesome pedals but the brake feedback is so insignificant in race that it does not register.
