Fanatec GT2 CS edition order status

Faddish if go back about 10 pages and read you can see we had this whole debate already with Fanatec. He basically said that their system is not equipped to allow them to split the orders and ship the parts individually.

I have a question though, did anyone in Canada who ordered from Fanatec get a tracking number? My order went to delivered last week and I know most people got a UPS number by today, but they don't use UPS for the Canadian orders so I'm not sure if I'll even get a tracking number.

You should see a USPS tracking number.
 
Here is some consolation for those waiting to receive GT2 CS.

Perhaps we will get wheels from the second batch, maybe initial quality issues would be resolved?

One can only hope.....

That was only an option for like 48 hours though. When I tried to do it (shortly after you did) I just got a canned e-mail response saying my order will ship at the end of January.

There was no time frame on canceling...and it took me a few emails, I got it done. So did several others. They sent me the same "it'll ship in January" email as well. I just emailed them again asking to please cancel the order and refund it...and they did.

Totally understand, some people just don't want to deal with writing a couple emails off, and would rather just wait. Personally, I just prefered to take 5 minutes of typeing to get my stuff a month earlier than scheduled. To each their own I guess. But I'm glad to hear you guys are sticking with your orders !

I just got a very suspicious email from UPS... Something about a tracking number and 15lb package... could this be it? Will it be there waiting for me this evening?

I've seen people say that the email just means it is out for shipping. I could be wrong, look up the number and see if it's delivering yet.

That would be your CSPs. Is it from UPS Quantum View? If so it means they created a shipping label. Should leave their warehouse tomorrow. Mine are en route now. Should have them Tues/Wed.

i was told early january by email, last i checked we are almost mid jan ;)

re i didnt re-order because
1. i get charged twice exchange rate
2. most importantly, i didnt want to take a chance of going to the back of the line and get my order even later, or worse they are once again out of stock

the shifters aren't even due until early feb (and honestly i don't even believe that), so why not ship the wheels and pedals now as thomas said (at least i can play with the wheel and pedals while i wait for the shifter)? to save a few penny shipping??

Are you in North America?

I know the US/Canada Webshop said January throughout December.

Yeah that sucks on the exchange rate, I wish I ordered later than I did. The Canadian dollar is up a bit since I ordered.

Yeah, that would be the danger of cancelling and reordering..I think that would be really risky given how things are.

Thomas' blog post says the shifter was due to arrive in the US December 31.

But if your not in NA, doesn't apply.

If possible tell me that you are in love with the CSP and only wish you would pair the t500 wheel with them in order to enter nirvana. :dopey:
 
I really want the g2 and cps but the delay is scaring me off. I already ordered a rennsport wheel stand which I hope ships soon. I have a g27 on order from logitech but not sure if I should go ahead.
 
They have offered to ship what is available if they can't keep their word to those who ordered in December. I think it is fair. They obviously don't want to ship what is available tomorrow because they will incur extra shipping costs which is totally understandable.

Not fair or understandable when they say you can change your order to idividual orders and there will not be extra shipping expense for people who do that. If they are willing to do that they should definately be willing to bite the bullet for people who have been waiting the longest and paid the most. THAT would be fair and understandable.

Not trying to be rude or mean. I was ok with waiting. It was when they decided to start shipping wheels and pedals to people who ordered seperately that I felt a bit cheated. Nothing about the act or the explaination sounds fair to me.

I am still going to wait. Fanatec, I just ask that in the future please plan for this during big racing game releases. This will happen again. Forza 4 anyone.

If there were any other options for a multi-console wheel people would not be so forgiving.
 
Tried emailing Claudia to find out a ship date if I were to order the Porsche shifter set now, but got no response. Was going to buy it to hold me over till the CSS came out. But I guess I'll just order the sim-gear shifter an paddle shift on the console games.
 
Order status still processing.
But there was a debit today from my bank account by fanatec. Description tells "partial delivery" and an order number which doesn't really belong to me. The number is +1 than my order id and i cannot access it in my shop account (not shown or trying to access directly)
 
Still "offen" and nothing happens on my account... No UPS ID nothing :/

Anyway, Thomas said 2-3 weeks so I must wait even though he said it´s all on stock :/

Crazy that they need 2-3 weeks to put it in an package and sent it...
 
Mine was sent for delivery on Friday but I haven't received a tracking number as fast as the people in the States.

Here's hoping that mine is actually in transit and not still sitting in a warehouse!

I am guessing Claudia has received some pressure to discontinue putting out release dates after informing some of us that the CSE would arrive late-December (in my case) or early January. I am sure she gave us that information with best intent, but was also unable to decode the shipping and production puzzle that is Fanatec.

I think you're right.

Fanatec was trying to do best by us by keeping us in the loop, but too many threads of conversation going on at once, language barriers and the unpredictability of shipping really came back to bite them in the ass.

I think Fanatec listed the dates in his blog post and isn't going to speculate on anything until the whole backlog is cleared.
 
I placed the order for my GT3rsV2 the 30th of December. I just got the e-mail saying it will be shipped out today if that helps anyone out?
