When I ordered mine, it took a few days between the initial email and actually receiving a tracking number. Then it was another couple days before it showed the package being picked up. I think people just need to accept there is going to be a couple weeks between ordering and actually receiving your wheel. I ordered mine on December 30th and today it is out for delivery.

good for you ; but I ordered on dec 14th and nothing, and there are others that ordered even before me

so please don't lecture :yuck:

I know it's not the exactly same product, but it's actually same issues.

I ordered the GT3 RS CSE, with Shifters set on December the 4th. I live in France. Still pending.

Claudia answered my question about shipping it would be done this week. When I asked here this week the same thing, she answered asap.

I'm assuming it won't be shipped this week...And I don't really get why, since I saw the last post in Thomas Blog.

Just post to join the complains club.

I wasn't talking to you, or lecturing. I did not order the clubsport package, so my situation is not the same as yours. ;)

I'm just letting people who ordered individual items know that it is normal for things to take a few days.

Yeah, lunarwolf is a little high strung. But who wouldn't be a bit tense after this debacle.

It doesn't look like any who orderd the CS Editions (me included) will see it on their doorstep until Early February at best.

On top of the late shipping issue there also seems to be an abnormal delivery time issue.

Maybe we will see some reviews before then. There also seem to be a few different GT2 wheel problems. At least this gives us a chance to spend our money elsewhere for a reliable product if need be. :scared:

Who knows, maybe this entire episode was an "inside job" to boost Thrustmaster sales  - which Fanatec employee has a large block of Thrustmaster shares?? ;)

Yeah I wonder how many people pay the price for the Thrustmaster wheel, only because Fanatec has no wheels on stock...

The best way to loose customers and make less money...

Exactly the same thing as it was on GT5 release. There was an immense market to sell steering wheels as hell but Logitech was out of stock, just like Fanatec was... And Thrustmaster missed the christmas sales by 2-3 weeks...

Looks like horrible business planing to me...

edit: sorry replied to the wrong thread it should have been on the T500 RS thread :(, as i also have GT2 CE on order and had both thread open.

Actually, I think what they don't have in stock is the shifter and that is what is causing the problem with the clubsport edition orders. As far as I know, Thrustmaster hasn't even announced a shifter. What good is three pedals if you don't even have a shifter option?

yes they announced a shifter at CES for this june. i'll bet we see a thrustmaster shifter before we see the new clubsport one

I just hope they learn from this, and don't do the same thing with new products.

I don't have much confidence in that though. :grumpy:

There might be no link, but my ordered includes the GT3 RS, and the shifter set, which isn't included in the CE. However, still no news about my GT3 RS, while it should be in stock, at least as much as the GT2...

So my opinion is the shifter's out of stock issue is not the only problem. As the awfull technical service I heard they have, it's easy to believe it's not the only service where they suck at.

Actually, I have heard that Fanatec's tech support is pretty good, so long as you can get a hold of them. They will ship you replacement parts or even drop ship you an entire replacement wheel without even needing to ship the old one back.

Ordered my shifter set in October. Still waitin'. Woohoo.

It's hard to plan when it comes to Gran Turismo. Logitech, for instance, launched the Driving Force Pro specifically for GT4, coinciding with the BS release date that PD gave them. Naturally, GT4 didn't come out for another year and a half, so all of Logitech's marketing effort went down the toilet and thousands of expensive DFP units sat around unsold, taking up precious shelf space with their massive boxes.

It's easy to hang around on a forum and bash companies for delays, but remember that even Logitech, the global leader in providing you awesome and affordable peripherals, can only act using the information and resources at hand. It's not as simple as "It's Christmas time, let's make 100 million steering wheels." They dump massive amounts of money into business planning but, just like buying stocks, it's all an educated guess and sometimes they guess wrong.

I think people also forget that Fanatec is running a business and the first goal of any company is to survive, and the second is to make a profit.

It's easy to say that he should have made enough wheels to meet the demand, but maybe they can't do it? Maybe that ties up too much capital in unfinished inventory, maybe they don't have a big enough warehouse to store all of those products at once?

Maybe they simply don't want to expand too fast. one of the biggest reasons a business can fail is if it tries to grow too quickly. And hell, maybe Thomas is just happy being a small player who makes a living? Not everyone wants to own the next Microsoft.

It's better to have people demanding your product constantly than to be sitting on stock that won't sell.

Nah, ordered the GT3 and the CS Pedals and it will take 4 weeks (completely) to get them... Ordered 1 1/2 weeks ago and Thomas said another 2-3 weeks till I get them... Ordered no shifter...

@Rotard12a

Was new to me with GT4 and DFP, thx for info... But anyway they missed the sales... GT5 was announced for November and then the delayed it for another month... But GT5 or not, on christmas sales are always higher and all three of the (Logitech, Fanatec and TM) missed the big christmas sales...

These are good, valid points. I consider myself very lucky to have been able to purchase a wheelstandpro and Logitech Driving Force GT wheel in November, just before GT5 came out. I also lucked out when I ordered a Fanatec GT2 wheel on December 15 and got it two weeks later here in Oregon. And finally, I canceled my order for standard pedals and a Rennsport wheel stand in late December and instead received Clubsport pedals earlier this week.

I think my luck has been a factor of timing, geography and what I bought. Had I instead waited a few weeks to order the wheelstandpro, I would be still waiting into February to get it. Had I ordered the Clubsport package in December, rather than the individual GT2 with standard pedals and the Rennsport wheel stand, I would probably still be waiting.

Don't worry guys, I may have been lucky and fortunate with my recent purchases, but I have had plenty of other things happen over the last year where I was quite unlucky.

I re-ordered GT2 and CSP Jan. 7, this monday my status showed "delivered", today I got and email from UPS with my tracking number but just for the CSP ... :ill:

Where is my GT2 tracking number ??

Do you think Fanatec is going to send me the GT2 later this month even when my status showed "delivered" ??
