Fanatec GT2 CS edition order status

And still no information from "the fanatec member of this forum", or at least some kind of apology for the current mess...

I'm about to read a test for the fanatec products I will receive (if I receive it one day...), and you can be sure the lack of communication and the behavior of this member will impact the final rating...

I must say Fanatec always returned my mails, but always with the fewest informations. If I'm refering to my order, and Thomas blog last post, I will receive my product this month. It lasts two weeks. Obviously, they can't plan two weeks in advance what they do with shipments, or they don't even know how it works, or they don't want to tell us.

But what's anoying me more, is this fanatec gtplanet member who won't answer our questions and prefer to be some kind of rude with complaining customers..., with no explanation, no apologies, no really instructive things to say after all...

I have to say the more I read this thread, the more I'm getting concerned about this company.

I would like to recall that lunarwolf posted a video with the title: "go **** yourself"

He then said that he is getting "BS" from me all the time. "BS" is a popular abbreviation of the term "********".

He went on and accused me to "lie" and called me arrogant.

If you think that this is a proper way to communicate then we might disagree on this.

I have no problem for constructive critisizm like what "Mister Static" said and we certainly could have made some things different but we are still in time for a January shipment so it is hard to understand the attitude of some people here.

I will probably post an update this week on my blog. We do all we can to get you the products as fast as possible but we can only ship what we get in.

Edit: It seems that there is an automatic system which replaces strong language with ***. So you have to guess the words ;)
 
Maybe I don't use the wright words, I don't have a fluent english, you know how french people suck when they have to talk with another language...

What I meant is that, in this forum, instead of replying to complaining people by telling them they shouldn't, it would be better to reply by giving some real informations, if you have it.

I'm sure it must be very annaoying to hear people becoming insulting with this or that. But if I were you, I would ignore them, and would post only if I had some usefull news to share.

However, you have to admit that, for the customer, it's really confusing to see that so many people wait this long, while other don't, even when they ordered later. As it's been said, when you pre-order something, you expect to be one of the firsts when stock arrives, which is obviously not the case. Plus, it's not little prices here, I spent 392€, others spent 500 and more, and we pay in advance, so we expect more than simply product delivery, we expect some good services, like informations, updates about order and so on. And you have to admit again it's a mess, when people see order status moving to delivered and still waiting for their product, with no tracking number, or even shipping notification, they get concerned, they post on forums, and here we go.

I don't talk for myself as I purchased the GT3 RS, and even if Claudia said it would be shipped this week (which won't be I'm pretty sure, anyway), I'm aware I'd have to wait when I ordered because it has been clearely written that shipment would begin in January. I'll begin to complain when this month will pass... I hope I won't have to.

But when I read this post, well I'm really getting concerned. I don't think you could blame me for that.

From what I undestand, about the "gfys" story, I think it's not what he says to you, but what he feels you say to him, by ignoring his complains. But I might missunderstand.

the thing is, you replied to my question. I asked when the GT3 and the CSP will be on stock and you told me here in this forum that both are on stock (in germany). What I can´t understand is, why it takes 2-3 weeks to ship them if they are on stock?

I agree with jayreen´s post. I also expected more service after I payed 330€. At least some info on my fanatec account about my order status or why it is still not shipped. I dont think that most of your customers are in forums and asks about the status like we do.

And Claudia´s replys are so short that I was thinking damn she must be pissed... I asked about my order and the get only "end of january"... I expected more infos about why end of january, what is out of stock and so on...

I only get an answer to that after asking here in the forum.
 
I am from the UK and my GT2 wheel arrived from Fanatec on the 24th December 👍

I also have the Turbo S wheel and CSP which also arrived within a week of purchasing. IMO Fanatec's delivery service to the UK is excellent and I have never had a problem at all.

They are a small company and IMO this is were the issue of their after sales support suffers. The response is not as quick as one may expect, but they do deliver a solution to their customers, and patience is a virtue.

I would also like to add another comment regarding the webshop. My order shows it has been delivered, however it has only been partially delivered due to the shifters being out of stock. It would be nice to have an option within the webshop that actually shows on "my account" what item has been delivered and what is on back order :)

Thomas that video was how i felt Fanatec treats its customers. thought i was clear

BS is a fairly popular expression - so what is your point? my point is i get upset because of the inaccurate/conflicting information i keep getting. as you say it could be construed as a lie ;)

telling customers to relax when they express legitimate gripes is arrogant

anyway you can try and derail the real topic and choose to focus on me, i do not really care.

I really want to fork out $500+ worth of Fanatec products since gt2 wheel is compatible with GT5 and Forza 3. But I really hate to deal with long delays and poor customer service especially if the company is located out of the country. Right now I'm just sitting back stalling time.

Obviously some people have had more than their share of problems. I can only go by my own experience. I ordered the GT2 and Clubsport pedals on December 30th and received them yesterday. I only have a few hours of use with them, but so far I am very happy with both. Build quality is excellent and the wheel and pedals work as expected. The true test will be reliability over time. Since this is the only decent wheel for the xbox, I decided to give it a try. Through my job, I work with many technology companies and I can tell you most of them have issues with their quality of support. I'm used to working through this to a resolution.

Hi guys, I guess this is more of the same. Fanatec should have been better prepared for the release of GT5 and xtmas. And I quite agree with some of members here, this could end up very badly for FANATEC if everybody stars to ask paypal refund based on delivery time. I will seat in my home made playseat (finished yesterday, made from tubular piping and a car seat baquet) and wait, playing GT5 with the sixaxis. Hope Thomas will shed some light soon and prevent us all from buying a T500rs instead, shifter or no shifter.

I am hoping someone will be able to answer my question. I have ordered the gt2 clubsport edition in December, and is showing a status of being "paid". I have been following this thread, and have seen some people mentioning that their status as "paid and pending". Is it normal for the status of my order to just say "paid"

I know theres a huge delay to the gt2 clubsport edition, and I just wanted to make sure that I did order everything correctly, and not further delay the delivery of this product.

Not much you can do man, just keep your pants on and try not to lose your mind waiting. It's probably gonna be awhile.
 
RC.....I thought you gave him the wrong order number, and when you have them the right one...they got you sorted and sent you a tracking email for your pedals?

UK delivery says in Feb. Do theses guys charge your card the moment you order or do they wait until closer to the estimated date?

Well, they have had my status as "Delivered" since the 10th.

This is getting weird again.

I have literally ordered tens of thousands of dollars of stuff via online methods over the years and never had such a fiasco and such misleading shipping information provided.

How can 1 company cock things up so badly so many times with so few products so regularly??

Yeah it's pretty nuts.

Mine has showed as delivered since the 7th and I still have no tracking number. Some forums say they got a pre-made tracking number immediately, others say they got their tracking number a few days later.

Lots of people said they emailed Claudia and got their tracking number for her, so I tried and I just get a canned form letter saying that the tracking number comes after the status goes to delivered - which happened 4 business days ago.
