I know the demo was not compatible with the fanatec wheel...but before I purchase game, I wanted to know if the fanatec wheel is working correctly now with retail version?

It's working now the CSL Elite PS4 Edition. You need to Update your Firmware on the Wheel to the newly released Ver & Then Update GT Sport to 1.02 Update,

I posted this in another thread. Ok great news for now the wheel don't show up in the menu though, its like in gt6 you got to use a Logitech or thrustmaster to set buttons. The Ps4 CSL Elite wheel got a new update today. The wheel needs to be put in CSW V2 purple light mode then press the ps button. It works great with great ffb in this mode. Feel the tires break loose feel every rumble strip. the brake and gas vibration motors are working. Remember once you're in the game put your csl elite wheel in CSW v2 purple mode the press the Ps button then you're good to go. WARNING don't let go of the wheel or move it quick or it will shake very bad but doesn't effect the racing. Could everyone share their settings on this post?

I wonder if this means the CSW V2 will work in game as well?

That's what I was thinking. I sold my to buy the CSL Elite
I currently use a Cronusmax to get it working with the PS4 but curious as to why you need to put the Elite in CSW V2 mode. Is this just a temporary measure until they get it working in PS4 mode?

Yes it is. Heres a update from Fanatec about the wheel and Sony.

UPDATE From
Thomas Jackermeier on the Fanatec page.

GT Sport has been released and it works great with the Fanatec CSL Elite Racing Wheel. Due to time constraints, Polyphony was not yet able to fully implement our wheel in the controller options menu but you can enjoy full force feedback and support for the rev lights and the ClubSport Shifter if you install the latest firmware 293 on your wheel.
This firmware has a revised compatibility mode which now adds compatibility to:
  • GT Sports
  • F1 2016
  • WRC6
  • DriveClub

Polyphony assured us that they will fully implement our wheel and that they are working on it. In the meantime you can already enjoy the game with the compatibility mode.

Please let us know your preferred Tuning settings for the new games.

was using drive hub to make my csl e work until a solution presented itself, which it did with the new firmware. Updated everything etc. But with both the dh and the new compatibility mode I'm getting an extremely heavy wheel with little detail, no tire slips, understeer etc. Only bumps and kerbs when going straight. And no indication of rear slides until it's visually apearant. Anyone else? I know the wheel works exceptionally well on Assetto(pc version) and p cars one(with proper settings). No amount of farting around with in game or wheel setting fixed this.

Dri. Default is -5
So dri = drift mode and -5 is drift mode?

So is 0 off drift mode or it should say off.

I'll have to check on my wheel tomorrow. Too many questions

i am using this, not the best ffb but ok/good

ingame both ffb settings 1

wheel settings
sen aut
ffb 100
shock off
abs off
Dri 0
FOR 60 (set this down, so i can better move the wheel)
SPR 0/off
DPR 0/off
FEI 100

I've been running with Fei off looks as though the new firmware switched it from what I'm reading where 100 was the old 0 and off was the old 010... Maybe gonna try fei at 100 hoping it works.

Fanatec
Our favourite settings for GT Sport are:
- Tuning menu FEI off and all other values default (Hint: reset wheel tuning menu by pressing tuning menu button 10sec.)
- in-game setting max torque = 2 and FFB sensitivity = 1
