With me being on the road all week for work i have missed out on this whole timed thing you guys are doing now. Could someone explain it for me? I see you said you had it down to 28 seconds but it was completed in like 3 seconds? Also where do you see a time at? Sorry if it sounds dumb but like i said i miss like 4 pages at a time with my new job.

Well it records what you have completed on your computer's IP. then try check that level again on a different computer and it will show as not done.

Besides what I said before was a theory so I do not know the real experience.

I logged in on other PCs, and had all my completion-status and saved levels there...

Ditto. I set up my contraption (still running, btw!) at home, fired up the VPN, remote desktop to my work computer and started running it there. Worked beautifully.
 
I read on their forum that it is only on the computer that you bought it on but...that might have been fixed already.
 
How long is that? In days...I really dont understand this time thing.

Sadly, with two kids at home and a wife that works weekend nights, no, I have no life.

However, in regards to said contraption, I set it up, refined it a few time (a total of a few hours invested) and then left it alone for the last week short of taking a screen shot every morning at 8am.
 
It's over halfway home. Stay tuned for the gif when it's finally done. Rough estimate puts it in the goal in about 3 days. Maybe more, maybe less.

Based on these two threads, I'll obliterate the current record holder.

If anyone comes across a different thread about the longest/slowest/whatever contraption, please let me know so I can spread my taunting around evenly. :D
 
1 week!!!!!! My bloody lord.

I just read those two threads, the second one...you have far obliterated any score that was there. I almost laughed uncontrollably when I saw the other scores.

It'll finally be done sometime today. I don't know when, obviously, but within the next 24 hours there will be a link and gif of the contraption.

As a side point, anyone interested in doing so, please go to the Fantastic Contraption forum and post comments about it as no one else has felt the need to. Call me a liar. Congratulate me. Tell me to get a life. I don't really care. Whip up the thread a bit. Just not so much it gets locked or you get banned. :D

It's finally done!!!

Final tally - 17,105,153, which on my computer took 8 days, 14 hours and 15 minutes, give or take a few minutes.

If I move it any further back than that, it might not finish at all. I might have to give it a run in the not too distant future. ;)
 
I wouldnt have the patience to wait for it to finish once let alone twice.
