Call me "Crazy"...you won't be the First...but I've always liked the "Fantasy Racers" from GT3. So I was pleasantly surprised to see the FTO, Subie, Altezza & Zonda as "Prize Cars" plus I believe you can buy the S2000 racer as well. Now don't get me wrong, the FORD GT LM Edition Spec-II '04, HONDA NSX-R LM Edition Race Car '02, MAZDA RX-8 Concept LM Race Car '01 NISSAN Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car '02 & NISSAN GT-R Concept LM Race Car '02 are all Kool & I'm happy to have them. 👍

BUT: Wouldn't it have been GREAT if in addition we'd have gotten say...a SALEEN S7 Racer (WITH Brakes of course! :eek: ), a CALLAWAY C12 Racer, an INFINITY R35, a HOLDEN Monaro CV8 , a CHRYSLER 300, well you get the idea. ALL with "FAT Fenders" & "BIG Tyres", Wild Paint Jobs & most of all a SERIES to Race them in? I'd trade ALL the goofy nearly worthless "Show Cars" & "Museum Pieces" presently in the "Game" for any ONE of those I've listed or many more I'm sure you guys can think of! Oh well...maybe in GT5 or GT6 or GT7 :indiff: ...O.G. :D
 
Yeah, I'd love to have a Monaro LM racer or touring car, with a big 7Lt V8 :D

... I saw another pic of an Aston Martin LM car too, but can't find the link at the minute... also, a TVR LM race car like there was in GT2 would have been sweet, but you can't have everything...

Not so keen on the 'wild paint jobs' idea... getting a bit too close to NFS if you ask me :scared: , but I certainly agree that the 'Dream Car' selection (which is good as it is) could have stood with a few new additions, rather than just giving us the same as what we had in GT3.... still, the Zonda Race Car is massively better (esp. sound-wise) than in GT3... a much better proposition now!
 
We also should have got an '05 Mustang GT Race Car.

- R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R
- ... man, i'm having a real hard time thinking of any cars in the game (mind you i haven't played it for nearly a week). :(
 
TouringMars, i was going to say the EXACT same thing. That (the DB9R, which i believe is going to Lemans this year) is a lovely set of nuts, bolts, and other parts.

Mitsubishi GTO LM - why has no-one mentioned this yet?

also:

Vector M12 LM (meaning Vector will be back in)
Venturi Atlantique LM (meaning Venturi will be back in)

And as Touring Mars said, the TVR Cerbera LM was a monster that needs bringing back :)

I was a bit sleepy when I wrote the first post & didn't want it to be an endless list of what "I" would like to see but rather what you guys felt was left out. 👍

@ Touring Mars: My idea of a "Wild Paint Job" would be something like the S2000 w/Big "GT" on each side as opposed to the more "Mundane" Subie & FTO Schemes. I even like the "C-West" Razo Silvia Livery although for the longest time I "assumed" PD had gotten it wrong because whoever did the Graphics didn't read English. Then I saw a foto of the real car & it's quite acurate! :dunce:

finally someone agrees with me... i would love to see all of the LM versions of those cars... specially now, since we don´t have the racing mods... even with 40 skylines, the R33 does not have its LM... the cerbera, speed 12, aston martins, chevys, fords, all of then would be very apreciated... How about a LM edition of the new eclipse?... so many cars that we should make a wishlist for gt5, don´t you think?

I think there should be a racing version of any car that has a real racing version or concept racing version in real life.

Exactly , I loved The Lm Cars,

Cerbra Lm , was amazing, but got to agree The Ford Gt Lm Spec II is an amazing Car,

also cant complain beacuse i can finally drive the Xj220 with breaks, in the lm version. 👍
 
I haven't got every race car yet but i would love to see some more LM race cars.
Particularly TVR and Lotus we brits don't get enough racing!!!

Also i think the Homer car from the simpsons would have been a funny addition.
 
Aboslutely right! More European and American racing cars. The game would vastly improve with them

To Be Fair, You Could Say You Shouldve Got Then, Is A Bit Unfair, he was trying to get it right, But that meant it was delayed, and yet People Moaned, then he Rushes It Out when he isnt truly happy with it, and its got small faults & SomeOne Moans,

But, I think somepeople who moan about small minor incosistancies, can go and program a racing game, perfectly, and before an angry crowd , starts abusing sony call centers,
 
Or the Riley-Scott and Pontiacs that are doing Sebring and Daytona races.
 
Just what Touring Mars said, we need the Aston Martin DBR9!!! I tried with a regular DB9, and lowered it a lot and gave it a wing. And of course we need a Caddilac CTS-V!! Here are some more

Audi RS 6 racing(Speed world challenge, they raced the caddys)
Viper competition coupe (Tommy Archers or Paul mumfords)
Corvette C6
Panoz LMP-1
Maserati MC12
TVR racing
Saleen S7R (you can put a wing on a mini cooper, but not a saleen!!bs)

those are just some, maybe a ferrari 500 or 575.
 
I know I'm in the very big minority here but here goes anyway.

I think it's very commendable that they've thought to include some of the older American muscle cars But I feel that they left out the REAL muscle cars of the era namely MOPARS. A Dodge Challenger would have been kick*** to have been included. A Dodge Daytona to go along with the Plymouth Superbird. They've got the Charger in the game but what about the Plymouth counter part...the Roadrunner? They've got the Dodge Super Bee but, what about the Plymouth GTX? Back in my day there wasn't anything on the road that could even come close to the muscle that Mopar put on the street.

But to be fair to the other two in the Big 3...how about a Mercury Cyclone Spoiler or a Ford Torino Cobra. And lest we forget the Chevy Nova SS or even the Monte Carlo SS.

And to add some for the sports car racing affectionados...the Porsche 917, 956 or the 962. And then there's the Ferrari 512M or even the Ferrari 250 GTO for all the ones that enjoy the cars of the early 60's. But since Sony doesn't have licensing for either of those brands I guess those will have to wait for future releases.

I just wish that instead of the Chapparal 2J they would have used the 2F. It's a lot better looking and was A LOT more successful than the "vacum car".

Well, there's my two cents worth (well, maybe three cents worth) for what it's worth.
 
Although this has been mentioned ad nauseum, it bears repeating again : Ferarri, Porsche, & maybe Lamborghini. I`ve seen Porsches & Ferarris in other games, so ya can`t tell me it`s not possible. Hey PD, pay the effin` licensing fees & stop dicking around.
 
I did a very old thread in my newbie days on GTPlanet, I made a thread titled something similar to "The Next LMP and Rally Car Superstars," devoted to what might be in GT4. Well now that GT4 is out and most of us have played through it, there is a nice amount of race cars available. Let's have some fun, ja? The Tigra Ice Racing car needs to come back but for me there is only ONE car they need... The DB9 LM Car because its the nicest looking car, best colour AND it won its debut race at Sebring's 12 hour!

PD PUT THAT CAR IN GT5!!!
 
Bentley Hunandieres (sp?) concept and the new Bentley Continental GT and saloon road cars, some BTCC and European Touring Cars, Vauxhall VX Lightning and VX Diesel Concept, some Brabus Mercedes. Others I cant think of now.
