HI people,
I was looking to see what cars from fast and furious 6 have made it into GT6 available cars. There is some pretty obvious cars, like the Dodge Daytona and the GT-R, but I was wondering if you guys have found some other cars that showed up in the movie?

And I know that the jensen interceptor is not in the game.

Sure, the AAR, the Pozzi could be made to look like the end scene camaro, the FXX, the SRT8 Charger is the same as in the movie, the Challenger is the same, we have M5s that are the same...um yeah.

EDIT:

You can use the MiTo and pretend it's a Giulietta, don't forget the Aston Martin as well

I like how on the net they mention that the FXX is a replica lol

Because it is, it was a kit car build and not an authorized built car from Ferrari, and when Ferrari saw it in the movie I believe they wanted to sue.

Anyways there is a video on the replica build for FF6 on youtube, if you can get past the horrible music (which is why I wont post it), then you'll see they put a lot of work into a great replica. Sadly the engine choice isn't something I care for.

Also FXX doors don't open up like Gullwings, they come up and forward just like an Enzo.

okay. I see. thanks for the input. i'm alos interested to know if the red colors torretto's daytona is available or it's a special piant used. but i'll check that out myself in the dodge dealer

There we go , I just checked, the daytona is not available as is , it's a plymouth Superbird, as I expected...

Yeah I should have mentioned that as well, the daytona in FF6 is just a regular Charger R/T with a custom daytona kit made, the front lights were never made like that on a daytona or a superbird. Also the paint is custom but I'm sure one of the cars in GT has it.

It would be pretty interesting if PD were to create a DLC with some of the cars from the series and would make a donation to Paul Walker's philanthropy. I mean I would buy it.

Not only that but lots of cars in movies are kit cars, just a shell/body with the core of a Beetle (powertrain, chassis, etc.). A great example of that are the GT-Rs used in the first movies.

On the other hand, Han's RX7 (FF3; the orange car) is the real deal and was on sale this year, in Japan.

Yeah vielside built a lot of them for the movie, FF movies actually strive to have the real cars and they go out and buy junkers and fix them up for movie quality and usually run an SBC mill for an engine. Usually that is the issue with FF movies is since many of the cars get destroyed people are pretty irritated after watching one and by people I mean car nuts like myself. Also cars that they represent aren't always what they appear to be. Take for example this last movie. The white mustang is actually the special Anvil Boss Mustang with a rear push-rod suspension yet the car in the movie is based off it with help from the group that built it, not that actual car at all.

Same was done in FF4 with F-Bomb Camaro. The movie car didn't have a single turbo charger like the real twin turbo beast. There are other example and then there are examples of the real deal.

Also there's the issue that started in the last movie, which is very much faulty physics (CG). The Interceptor was cringe worthy, had to turn my brain off to enjoy the movie.

Whaaaaat? Is it really not in GT6? It was in GT5, why would they not carry it over with all the other cars?

License Issue. Or prob DLC

Let's not forget how fake that Escort jump was and how many chassis they bent to do it.

Why didn't they inspired themselves from the jumps that The General Lee or KITT jumps in their respective series?

Whilst they did ruin loads of Mk. 1 Escorts to do it (which is almost impossible to forgive), they did actually do the jump properly; only a bit of CG was done to make it look like the Escort had jumped further than it did because of how narrow the road was. The director on the commentary said that he wanted the jump to look 'messy' and more realistic than most other jumped cars in the series.

Unless you're talking about when Roman jumps from the Mustang to the Escort, then yeah, that was very poor CG. :p The F&F series has never really been good with CG, I mean, just look at how dire those tunnel chases were in the 4th movie. At least in the past two movies they've tried to do all the car stunts properly and rarely using CGI unless it's to clean some stuff up (like that Escort jump).

You do realize a lot of the cars that did those jumps were destroyed too...Dukes of Hazard is part of the reason tons of 68-70 chargers were destroyed.

I realize that I wasn't saying the jump was faked I've watched the directors cut since I own all the FF movies in that format (well I don't own 2 nor will I ever). I was just mentioning how that was an issue as well.

Yeah so was the Dom and Letty jump in the same scenario of scenes. Yeah that was pretty bad in 4, I'd say 2 still takes the cake in awful CG.

the R34 skylines from 2 fast 2 furious and Fast and Furious (4th?) are real cars

2's were just... wow. I never understood why they added some sort of hyperspace background when ever they hit their nitrous buttons and then had a surprised look on their faces as if they didn't expect to go faster or something. Especially since the fastest any of the characters do is like 120 mph, which was nothing compared to the 160+ the Eclipse does in the first race in the first movie before its floor board falls out, but that's another story...

Technically the fourth is a kit car so it could be registered in the U.S. :sly: Also it wasn't a true R34 GT-R it was a GTS with a body kit and it didn't have a nissan engine but instead a VW motor

those faces makes a return in the 6th... both letty and dom uses NoS in the movie and both make a strange face when it kicks in

Talking about the Jensen i used to find that car ugly, but i didn't know it sounded that good irl.

The most surprising part of this thread.............people actually watch Fast and Furious movies! :odd:

Um well that's easy to see from the Paul Walker thread on him passing as well as the FF6 and FF5 thread in the movies sub-forum and the FF7 one.

Also the fact that FF6 was the third highest grossing movie of 2013 as well as the entire series making a couple billion in ticket sales shows people watch it.

It's still surprising! As a self-proclaimed Petrolhead, I hope I never have to watch one, but to each his own!

Still don't see how it's surprising probably because you don't like them and thus your bias makes you that way. It's whatever, not everyone is going to like or share the same view obviously.

USA are idiots for not letting the R34 and R32 GTRs in the country. Yeh must if not all were GTTs and GTS' kitted to look like GTRs, most were real cars built in large numbers with wreck cars built on crap parts. Real ones have been sold off.

Tokyo drift was an exception were all cars were built buy Veilside including the rwd Evo, wide body 350, 350TT and Nsx wide body on top of the money shot Rx7 triple rotor.

Being a car film, most of the budget goes on the cast (and there cars) so bigger budget equals more wrecks (fast five) and more cars (fast six). Fast six still used pretty rare cars but made tham look rarer like that mustang suited to look like a shelby and the daytona which was still a charger. All top of the hyper cars in certain clips.

My fav was from the last clip, Ben Sopra GTR which was a static proper but Still REAL

It's surprising that anyone goes to see most of the crap coming out of Hollywood, especially when most of it is an obvious ploy to avoid creating new content while still raking in the dollars. FF is one of the more egregious examples of this with more than a half dozen versions of essentially the same product put in different packaging and sold as "all new" for full retail price. Sounds like a blatant rip-off to me. If I want to see Beetles dressed up as super-cars and then crashed/burned........I will tune into Top Gear.

But as I said, to each his own. Those Hollywood execs gotta get their money from somebody!
