I've been begging for ADSL for a life time and finally I got it! I'm so happy that I could.... hmmm... well, I could do anything, I quess. But now I'll be able to come to GTplanet anytime I want.

Congratulations, Mad

Hurrah! what speed is it?

oh and on the subject of internet and such, anyone who is on NTL Broadband can expect a bandwidth increase of around 150k Free in the coming months. somthing to do with being competitive with their rivals.

EDIT: and, as it now appears, most other UK broadband services.
(about time i say :))

So that's why Telewest have just added 50% to their subscriber's bandwidth!

1.5Mb for me! :)

No. Each subscriber gets 50% added. It's not possible to ad 50% to one of their existing services and end up with 1Mb.

512Kb -> 768Kb
1Mb -> 1.5Mb
2Mb -> 3Mb

Really, I never knew they had increased it. I've not noticed any difference so far. I'll have to go check. (I should be at the 1.5Mb now)

I ran a test yesterday and noticed no difference. It could be "coming soon"

I cant imagine how it would be like to have a bandwith limit..I mean I'm running a server, downloading stuff 24 hrs a day 7 days a week, streeming audio 24 hrs a day ( Its easier to just turn off my speakers lol) in adition to all the chatting, surfing etc. I also ocassionally watch TV online. I bet my ISP hates me :D Man, I need a OC3 connection :lol:

I have unlim download per month though it says after 10gig you might see some slower downloads (some people had got to 18gig on my plan without slow downloads) as for the speed i tested it and got 1mbs
