Ok does any body have any idea what is the fastest ( top speed ) PRODUCTION car available today

Well it's kind of a cheat, since they're not exactly run off production lines. However, they are type-approved, and you can get one through a Mercedes Dealer, and Brabus are recognised as a manufacturer rather than an after-market tuner, so there you go.

The thing is that most of the big saloons from Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes, BMW etc are all speed-limited to 155mph, so I would guess that if you discount the Brabus, the next one down would be the TWR/Holden HSV Commodore, and that's in the same class as the Brabus!

I have ALWAYS known that the E39 BMW M5 is the fastest production sedan in the world.

Brabus simply tunes Mercedes, that's a bunch of crap.

If it isn't the M5, it's the Lancer EVO (but I doubt it). Not the E55 AMG, though.

The new Audi S6's coming out and it will be the fastest when it comes out (waaah, M5's gonna lose)...
