i want to farm the oval course in the american championship, and the RM ZR1 isn't quick enough even with nearly 900 BHP

That's what I use...Try turning up the down force...That way you never have to lift...Just plant your foot and TURN LEFT!!!!!!

i mean for b spec bob lol hes doesn't listen to me

...or tune down the downforce to be faster in a straight line........

Use a Nascar if you have one. Easy as pie with that bad boy.

Buy racing soft tyres. They help, a lot. And I mean, A LOT. You might also want full downforce.

I have a fully modded GT Spec II Test Car, with full downforce that thing wins by about 90 seconds.

If you Race Mod it, you will not lose, makes a world of difference. My ZR1 is maxed out and has not won it either, but the RM Z06 runs away from the field with ease, every time. But as has been mentioned previously, put the good tires on it.

He can't use racing soft. B-spec.

My Bob can win the Indy race in the RM ZR1 but not every time. Usually 1st or 2nd. Good enough for consistent money and xp.

Bob can win with ZR1 RM in american champ. need to push him if you want a 100% win. he always slow down at the end of the race. I think NASCAR can't be use there.

Nascar can be used, but my Bob can't win with that either, only 5th, stays within 2-3 seconds the whole race, might get into 1st once or twice but always slows down at the end, even with some strength left and constant nagging by me...

The ZR1 RM is plenty fast enough as is the Ford Gt Race car, The Viper Race car any of the other vette race cars, the Nascar even the Challenger and Z28 Rms can do it with a little tuning.

The fastest I have foudn though is the Ford GT Test car. This is the only one I have managed to turn a time faster than the ZR1 RM. 41.7xx in the ZR1 41.4xx in the GT

For B-Spec the Ford GT Spec II LM Race Car is the ticket. my Bob smokes them with this car everytime as it corners better than the ZR1. He wins with the ZR1 as well but it is usually close where with the Ford he usually wins by several seconds.

Before i even played the game i could have told you a Ford GT, those car are just fast , even with less hp .

The only one i have is the GT LM Spec II fully modded, my bob win the races easily even if i let him play for himself , but i dont think its the fastest GT out there , i think the Test one is even faster , but you win the Spec II in the dream car event and it does the job really well.

Yep on indy I am 1.4 seconds faster in the test car than in the race car version. I have not however spent a lot of time tuning the Race car but it is clear that the test car is faster on this course.

Use the 2J. My Bob spent about half the race under fire from the various Ford GT race cars, but after the halfway point he basically just walked away with the win. Ended up winning by almost a full lap.

The problem with the 2J is it costs over 10 millions where the GT Race car is FREE.

It is a no brainer really.

It can be done with the ZR1 RM you just have to build up the level of your driver so the speed and cornering skills are higher then he'll do the corners at 200mph plus.

The Chapparall 2J and the Panoz GTR-1 are the fastest american cars.

I have a #51 Viper, soft tires and you never have to lift. So easy I snack or surf the web on the long straights!

I used the camaro race car, you need to lose some down force and add camber to suspention, with only 600hp I beat more powerful cars!

The CIEN is the fastest, but you have to either lift too much, or
add a lot of down force.
I've been buying up every race car that come into Used Cars.
So far, the LMP Ford GT is the smoothest, untuned.
It's a toss up between the RM-1 and Team Oreca Viper.
As I said of the last 3, none have been tuned except for Final Gearing.

The Cien is fast but not enough aero on the front. I have not gotten the Chapparals nor the Panoz to try yet but have tried most of the others and the Ford GT Test Car turns the fastest laps. The Ford GT Race Car is way more than enough though for Bob and for a human. It is much easier to get it around the track at full throttle than the Vette and even with Bob just crusing he wins by several seconds.

For reference The Ford GT Race car can turn a low 43 second lap with ease. High 42s are a bit harder but very doable anything lower would require a great deal of tuning.
The ZR1 can turn low 42s pretty easy but is a bit tricky to drive full out without hitting the wall. With proper tuning the ZR1 can do mid-high 41 second laps.
The Ford GT test car can do low to mid 41 second laps with proper tuning.

The Viper... Sorry I bought it mid 43s is pretty much all it has got. Ford GT smokes it with out even tuning the Ford.

btw for those that say other cars are the fastest pay attention to the race and see which AI car wins every time. It is the Ford GT Spec II race car and the Ford GT LM Race car in every race I have ran taking second and in the case of the Vette in B-Spec the Ford is usually right on his bumper about 1/2 the race.

I use a Chaparral 2D Race Car '67. I maxed the aerodynamics and raised the max speed a bit, and runs flawlessly, almost laping the last place cars. It sounds awesome when accelerating, not to mention. :p

OK, I purchased the Panoz Esperante GTR-1, and was immediately taken aback with its 779hp after an oil change (824hp with Stage-3 turbo). I expected the stock numbers to be a bit higher, so there was some disappointment.

Without spending too much time fiddling about with fine-tuning, I took it out at Indy with the turbo installed, along with Race-Soft tires. While it doesn't handle as poorly as it has in past games, it's still a bit of a pig, as none of the corners can be taken flat-out in 6th gear.

A tap on the brake was needed to settle the nose in on turns 1 and 3, with partial throttle used on turns 2 and 4 to carry as much speed as possible on the front and back straights. I could only manage a low 45.XXX. With some work, it could do a low 44.XXX (or 43.XXX in the hands of a better driver / tuner), but any of the Ford GT race cars can post those times -- and better -- with much less power, and considerably less effort.

I can't say that it was the best 2.5 million cr. I've ever spent.

The problem with the Panoz is that PD never bothered attempting to give it a fair shot in regards to handling. It has far less downforce than any of the other GT1-ish cars have, and while the car was never particularly impressive in real life either, it is still disappointingly nerfed.

Like I said, none of the cars I mentioned except for the CIEN are tuned.
With it I'm turning mid 43's
With the Vette and Oreca Viper. I run very low 42's.
With the LM Ford GT , turn high 41's.
And I'm still working on lowering my steering wheel input.
That and some tuning I know I get get down to low 41's.
