Fastest FF Car?

FF cars aren't given much thought in the game. I LOVE the C30, but the newer hot hatches like the Cupra R and Megane RS 250 are completely missing. Those would dominate the FF races, I'd think. /sigh
 
I doubt it would be quickest on say the Autumn Ring Mini. Or anywhere there is not much chance to use the power.
 
Citroen C4 2.0 VTS when fully tuned has 470hp and around 1100kg.

Not fast enough to defeat a tuned C4 WRC, but it plows through corners.

Suzuki Swift Sport (either model, but the '07 comes without red seat accents) nets you 306 FWD hp that can beat Espirit's.
 
400+ HP in a front wheel drive car is ridiculous and shouldn't work. But since this game doesn't even simulate torque steer I doubt they simulate the hideous understeer problems you would get with that sort of power going through the front wheels.
 
Why not? It's your right foot that controls the amount of power going to the wheels... of course, a game lets you do things you wouldn't IRL. Like mash the throttle mid corner in a 400 hp FWD car. :p
 
to maximise the power from one of those mega hp FF cars youd have to change your driving line to get the straightest exit line.... Nothing beats the Civic RM for sheer fun though, just with engine upgrades, wanted to keep it drivable
 
Define fastest, as in in a straight line, or something that gets around a TRACK quickly???

FF cars are terrible with too much power(when not only going straight) but to me the QUICKEST FF is a tastefully tuned DC2 Type-R. It is the FF than when driven around a track gives me the best times (non-race car).
 
Should've been more clear about the SRT4. In a drag it's definitely the fastest, but around a circuit, I'd say the DC5 Type-R.
 
I spent friday online at the nurburgring beating up guys in Zonda Rs and other LMP cars. the 24h track. in an AVANTIME!
 
My fully tuned Fiat 500 has only 286 hp, but it torque steers in a straight line like mad.
 
Someone here mentioned the Citroen Xsara Rally... I could believe that it might be the best handling car, if not the outright fastest.

Gotta mod me a SRT4 though - the thought of a 620hp breadbox s immensl appealing!
 
Ford Focus RS '02 for me, tuned to 300bhp with lowered suspension and racing tyres. It handles so nicely and has a decent power to weight ratio.
 
Another vote for the mk1 focus rs.

I've driven high power fwd cars in rl. Torque steer is not as prounounced as people make out. Keep a decent grip on the wheel and you won't feel anything.
 
Id think the Volvo T5R should be able to have 500-600+ hp as it can easily make that in real live.

For a fast FF car, I highly recommend the Citroen Xsara Rally Car '99. It's about 177,000 Cr. but it's one of my favorite cars and a joy to drive. Its top speed is around 150 mph stock I believe.

No way should it let you get that much bhp from a Fiat 500.
I use a VW Lupo GTI, that has a 1.6 engine, with maximum tune with Turbo etc. it goes to 269bhp. Humph, will have to try the 500 maximum myself.
Incidentally my Lupo is best with 160bhp, on sports soft tyres. Probably 210bhp with racing tyres.
 
Torque steer only matters with force feedback... and my DS3 doesn't have any.

But the "big boys" do understeer like hell off the track, which is what powerful FF cars really do in real life.

Have been ignoring this for quite a while... still building up my FF collection... but it's about time I built some monster FFs... :D
 
If you want no understeer set initial torque on your LSD to like 40~ and it wont ever lock up around a corner.

All the Civic's and Integs in this game should have 400+ hp fully tuned if not 500 because they easily get that in real life. There is a 1.6l D16Z6 in a 88 Civic Wagovan built by bisimoto that is pushing 700 WHEEL horsepower through an AWD system, which equates to approximately 850-900 BHP.

Let's go around High Speed Ring and see if you guys can show that the DC2 or DC5 can catch my SRT-4, because I was having fun last night online matching it with JGTC's all race. 👍 See if you can get sub-1.04 around there (and this was witnessed by other GTP'ers who were racing with me!!)

If anything, you want the LSD to be as weak as you possibly get to reduce understeer. Not 5/5/5, but somewhere around the lower end works well.

Who cares? FF cars are for getting groceries. :p :lol:

As someone said... the Mugen Motul Civic Si Race Car ‘87 is pretty close to the top as far as getting around a track.

What is the fastest/most powerful FF car in GT5?

My best one is the Volvo C30 R-Design. Fully upgraded, it has 427 BHP and 380 ft.lb torque, and it weighs less than 1200 kg. It also looks BA with some aero kits on it. :sly:

Are there any other FF cars that can beat it?

If the Citroen Xsara P2 Kit Car isn't the fastest FF in the game, I can't imagine what the faster car might be. Maybe the SRT-4, but I'd imagine the Xsara would handle better enough that it would make up the difference on most tracks.
