There will be a F60, maybe as the successor to the Enzo. But for now, the car you thought is the F60 is really the Enzo. By the way, the car in the which resembles a "stretched" 348 is a mule ferrari used for testing the new Enzo Engine.

The worlds fastest FWD is jointly held by a number of cars. Both the Alfa 156GTA and 145GTA do 155mph, but it has been held previously to that since 1997 it has been the Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo which has 220BHP/229lbs/ft, 0-62 in 6.4s (0-60 in 6.1s), and top speed of 155mph.
The Focus RS can't get up to that speed (147mph max I think)

Like someone said one of the powerful American FWD musclecars can beat them all to 60 probably.

Sid

Well, the 1970 Cadillac Eldorado has a 500cui  and 400bhp, which is fwd. Im wondering how fast that can get to 60. I doubt it will be as quick as other cars mentioned

ving will like this...

The 1998 FIAT Coupe Turbo Plus 20v LE with a 6-speed transmission was geared to 186mph in top gear. Listed maximum was 155mph. However, to contradict Evil_sid, it's listed 0-60mph time was 6.8s, according to the manufacturer.

This time is matched by the £12000 Renaultsport Clio 172 Cup edition, which has a 172PS 2.0i engine and is FF.

Well, it's definitely not the Eclipse. What the 1st gen GS-T's run? Mid to high 15's? Probably even slower for the 2nd gen. 3rd gen Eclipses aren't even worth talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the S/C'd Mini Coopers is as fast as the 1st gen GS-T's.

SRT4
Tiberon GT (this or I might be confusing it with a different one)
Lotus Elan (maybe)
Mazda 6/Attenza

These are pretty fast, especially the SRT4 and Mazda 6. They are alot faster than an Eclipse or FTO...

No they turn just as great. Especially the Elan which could possibly be the best FF in the world. Havent you read anything in the thread before this page? Both Mazda 6 and the SRT4 outperform the Eclipse...

Don't discourage him. He's only probably even driven two cars.

The Ford Mondeo ST220 would probably out-perform an Eclipse on a track - in fact in testing it beat equivalent 2.0i cars from Honda (Accord), Jaguar (X-type 2.0), Mercedes (C200), Toyota (Avensis) and BMW (320i).

FTO is a cracker, but can't top 145mph in production spec. Funnily enough I spotted the speedo on my dad's Ford Probe V6 at 145mph as well (couple of years ago, he's on a Mazda MX-3 1.8i V6 now) and I'm sure as I can be that - good though it is - the Probe isn't the fastest FF in the world.

FIAT Coupe Plus 20v Turbo HAS been clocked at 186mph on a test track in production spec (the 6-speed version, natch) and corners like a demon. I think the vote goes there.

Heck, if the son of a certain tofu dealer were used to the FWD layout he could beat all the other FWD cars out there with a 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage Asti RX... :D

A Mirage? your funny!........you were joking right?

See, you have to tune those car just to make them fast enough to beat the other cars we mentioned...

Dang, slow neighborhood I guess, does everyone else ride bicycles? j/k. IMO the Mitsubishi Mirage is slow. Alot of people around my area hate them. Even the rice boys (the ones who only want to look fast)...

Fastest 1/4 FWD car in the world is Papadakis's Tube chassis H22 Civic, which he doesn't have anymore but yes it ran 8's. Fastest FWD car Top speed wise...I have no idea...I'd think it'd lose control before it hit 200
