It's very close between the F094/S and the F094/H, and the /S wins by it's better handling.

Is there a performance difference between the F094/S and the Polyphony001? From the times I've seen set people seem to get reasonably identical performance from them.

Senna is god, that's my say in that matter, and anyone want to compare an F1 to a closed-wheel car? the latter is also know as turns lick a brick.

The F094/s of course

The F094/s and P001 are the same chassis, and relativly the same body. The only difference is the F094/s visually represents the FW16 where as the P001 has the FW16 midsection, rear end, but the nose is more like the Beneton fords high nose style.
The same exact time should be able to be achieved if your using the F094/s or P001

Senna is NOT god, what with Senna being dead and all - through driver error, I might add.

I find all of the cars turn just fine, IF you tune them properly...

gamer53 - I like the Polyphony 001 F1 Car and Polyphony 002 F1 Car - although you seem to have omitted them from your poll.

And I'm curious - what will you do with all the information you get from these polls? You don't HAVE to make new threads all the time you know - you can get away with taking part in discussions already active.

It was a bad track! Did you see him bottom out before going straight on into the wall? It messed up the car ballence causeing massive understeer.

Caused by? The driver having the car set too low. I paid attention to the inquest.

Nevertheless, Senna is/was NOT "god", Senna IS dead (sad though it may be) and all the cars in Gran Turismo 3 turn just fine, thank you.

It's easy to say things about people who can't defend themselves, and expressly irrelevant to the thread.

The FXXX/X series is the NTSC version whilst the PAL territories got Polyphony00X, so gamer53 didn't bother to include them, they're sort of irrelevant to what he's asking.

Got to agree with you there, I've driven in all of them and while the F094/S may be the gentlest on tyres, and quickest, the F090/S is just all in all the most fun to drive.

If I could vote again Id vote for the F688/S, theres nothing quite like 927hp in an open wheel racer.

Are you sure you actually have any of the F1's?

The F094/s is the fastest F1 around Midfield, with the F686/m and F094/h following .5+ behind.

I chose the f090/s for the handling. Now before any even tries to start, hear me out. The 90/s doesnt have the speed of the 94/s, it also doesnt have the friggen annoying compression of the 94/s. when it comes to low speed conering, the 90/s is a joy, unlike the fickle 94/s. In other words= For Monaco i choose the 90, for somethong like apricot hill i choose the 94.

d*** you F1 guys are crazy. i have the f094/s, f090/s, and the f687/s. although my f094/s is faster its not insanely faster that i'd choose it because its fast. i love all my F1 cars though. the f094/s for its looks/speed, the f090/s for its looks, the f687/s for its turbo. haha....

J/W... are there different colors that you can get the F1 cars in because i haven't gotten two of the same yet. thanks.

i hate them all. they make the game way to accomplishable. i perfer to use race cars in pro mode, special cars in am mode ( spoon civic, mugen s2000, mines lancer) and reg. cars in beginner.

That's a choice you have to make yourself, if you're one of those folks who enjoys racing F094/S in beginner league then its too bad you'll never learn to drive properly and you'll come unstuck in later leagues when you're forced to drive a normal car.
However, F1s can and should be used only for Formula GT series only IMO.

If Truenodrifter hates them so much, I'd be curious to know what he used to win Formula GT other than F1? :dopey:

A good driver can beat the FGT series in a Lemans car "Mazda 787b, Toyota GT1, Nissan R390" One could even beat it in lesser cars than the LM's.

I've only used the F1's to actually beat the FGT races and only for that series. All of the other races were done in cars and race cars to get the gold trophies. Whats the point of racing a F1 vs a car? Theres no skill in that.

Now I do use the F1's for some race times in the Race times database over at gt3times.com, thats with a F1 vs F1 times.

thanks for backing me up on that 3rdgenracerx. I've read far too many posts on here from people using F1s for everything, not just F1 races, and then wondering why they can't compete when it comes to doing Formula GT series, which actually requires knowledge of setup and racing lines.
Will have to give it a go in the LM cars. Do you use them stock with hard tyres, or boost the power with a turbo kit and run softer tyres so you're on the same pit schedule as the F094/S?

Maybe you boost the HP and then also give them T1s. Not sure though. I havent done it yet.
