Favorite in GT3 was the old Mini Cooper
In GT4 was the Taurus SHO
In GT5 I have none since I rarely used any & they never put in good American FF cars. 4th & 5th gen Pontiac Grand Am should of been put in. They kill Civics for a day job.

Well I won a Pontiac Sunfire in gt4 the other day, not particularly great and it looks like a 90s Rover 400 but it is FF...

The Sunfire is the same as a Caviler which has a not so powerful engine. They accelerate so slowly.

And the Cavalier is also Pontiac? Over here its the predecessor to the vauxhall / opel vectra...

The cavalier is under the chevrolet brand. It's the same chassis, but with different exterior. Same POS.

Gotta go with this one...

Honda Civic CR-Z. The hybrid one. It's the only hybrid i've found with an actual transmission, and with 300+ bhp, it's not too slow.

Front of that one almost looks like a FTO, or nissan 100SZX.

The headlights are probably the only similar point. The rest of the car can't even compare with both. If you one day drive one of these for 5 minutes, you'll understand haha.

These are my favorite FF cars in GT5, been a fan since I owned the Acura version as my first car.

Edit: fixed

Edit 2: in real life that is, haha :)

I don't even think this picture comes from GT5.

It's not. It's the new Ferrari FF. It's actually Ferrari's first all wheel drive vehicle. Just trying to be funny. (plus I'll use any excuse I can get to post a Ferrari!):sly:

@ themartlab: re golf. Thank you I will try your rigid rear suggestions. I don't usually find that the way to go about things with FFs, but maybe this shows my usual 1st attacks may not be the best way of approach, or maybe not best with Golf.

What am I doing wrong with Alfa Romeo? Where are these "rails", because I haven't felt them!

RE: favourite or fastest?
If I only chose to drive cars I thought were "fastest" in whatever class or whatever... I would've tossed the game a week after getting it. I like gt5 for all the so-called "useless" kooky cars that are so much fun.

RE: "sports car"
The definition of a sports car is nothing to do with drivetrain... It's how much attention do you attract?... from WOMEN. hahahaha. ;)

Always remember - most women LIKE cute.
So if you like women, it behooves you to respect cuteness. ;)

Well I won a Sunfire im gt4 and having driven it I would best describe it as comfortable ;)

I tried today the 98' EK Civic RM, racing soft, upgraded to 225hp. I did the japanese championship, and this little civic was able to keep up and beat faster cars. I did a 0'57sec lap on Tsukuba. Only 225hp!

Yesterday I purchased from the UCD a 1998 Corolla Levin BZ-R, and it's really a great FF car, possibly my new favourite! It's got multilink suspensions, a limited slip differential, rev-happy engine (makes peak power at max rpm, but in practical terms, power output is essentially flat for a about 1500 rpm), and a very balanced, neutral handling, free of understeer of any sort. It also sounds great!

I tuned mine to 1005 Kg and 210 hp (stock: 1065 Kg, 177 hp).
I installed a low RPM turbo which makes it even more drivable by making the power curve flatter at high rpm (top hp gains are minimal, torque gains are small but all-around).
I don't think I'll tune it further as I don't want to ruin it. I even use comfort soft tires to retain its originally intended driving characteristics.
It will be a great car for online races.

the Honda accord euro R 99 is one of my favourites but Thats the car I've got in real life so I'm maybe a bit bias I've upgraded the car in the game to 409bhp but it understeers like a bitch so I'm going to spend some time tuning the settings
